Chapter Sixty Five-Bleeding Through
↬Chapter Sixty Five-Bleeding Through↬
↬↬↬
I only own Jade/Camilla and my ideas.
Between having to watch and look after Camilla in the hospital and making sure that Devin and Baz don't destroy everything in their path—Peter was beyond stressed. He wanted to make sure that neither boy destroy anything, but he also wanted to make sure that Zelena didn't get to Camilla and that nothing as a whole happened to Camilla. He just wanted to make sure that no one got hurt and that nothing bad happened, though he was really getting pissed off with both Baz and Devin just for the way that they were acting.
He knew that this should be what he expected given that he's got two children with him who have got the same attention span as a puppy that's seen something of interest. He tried to make the pair of them sit down, but then the next thing that he knew the pair of them were running around or touching something that they're not meant to or running into someone that they "didn't see." He knew that they were bad on Neverland—and it was shit that he approved just as a whole—but to know that it was still the way that they acted here made him rethink everything.
If these two were going to be the two that were around his child, then he really needed to learn the basics of discipline that weren't harsh or the way that he would discipline on Neverland. He found himself with his head in his hands wondering what the meaning of life was just as a whole when it came to knowing that he was going to have to raise an entire baby with his Jade.
It was something that he found himself thinking at times. He knew that this was something that he should be talking about with Camilla, but he just found himself panicking slightly at the thought of raising an actual baby. What was he meant to do with a baby? Could he teach a baby how to use a crossbow? Is a baby any use in terms of any plan to take over the world (not like he was planning to but it's good to know)? What was he meant to do with a baby? He's never had to deal with a baby before and he was honestly worried about what he was going to be like as a parent.
A part of him just wanted Camilla to wake up and remember everything just so then that the pair of them can talk about the fact that the pair of them were going to be parents to an actual baby—like an actual human baby that was theirs. He found it hard to believe and he wanted Camilla here to get an idea on what she felt about it just as a whole. He wanted her to have her memories back, he wanted her to have everything taken from her returned to her, just so then he could talk to her about all of this.
He didn't know what to think about when it came to the thought of him being a father, he couldn't even remember what it was like to have a father in the first place—what was a father? He didn't even know his father properly because he left way before he could form a bond with him. How was he meant to be a father to this baby if he never had inspiration? What was he meant to take from his own father? To just walk away? Because that was something that Peter didn't want to do at all. He loved Jade and he will love his baby until the end of time.
Peter found himself groaning slightly and leaning forward. He wanted Camilla to wake up just so that he could talk to her about his worries, and he hoped that she would talk to him about her own worries as well. He was finding it difficult just as a whole to process all of it and he knew that given that Camilla can't make the connection between her memories and the people she cares about that it might be hard for her to talk about what this made her feel—he still wanted to hear what she had to say about her being a mother.
As much as he knew that she wanted to be a mother, he didn't know if that thought changed now knowing that she was pregnant. He just wanted to hear any kind of worry that she had given that he knew that this was something big and important for the pair of them. He just wanted her to wake up and remember everything, but he knew that there was a possibility that she wouldn't remember anything and that there was a chance that the curse wouldn't just randomly disappear.
"Peter?" Devin said, coming up to him. "Are you good?"
Peter found himself looking up towards Devin who was standing over him. "Yeah." He forced a smile onto his face. "Yeah. I'm good. Or as good as I can be. I'm just thinking over the entire thought of me being a father to an actual baby."
Devin stared at him oddly for a quick second. "You're not going to be doing this alone, and you'll be a great dad. I mean, you've had some kind of practice with us and the rest of the Lost Boys, I'm sure that you'll be fine."
"But what if I'm not, Devin?" Peter asked, leaning back into his chair. "What if I'm not a great dad or a remotely good dad? I don't want to fuck up this baby's life just because I fucked up. I don't know where to begin when it comes to looking after a baby or what to even do when it comes to a baby. I've been so focused on Zelena that I haven't even had time to even think about the fact that I'm going to be a father. And I want to talk about it with Jade, but she can't even remember me properly."
He knew that he was rambling, and he couldn't help himself at all. It was something that he knew started to happen the minute that he met Jade—the minute that she stepped foot on the island. He always rambled because he met her, and he knew that he wanted to talk to her about all of this, about everything that was going on in his mind when it came to this. He wanted to know what she thought about all of this as well, he just wanted to know her thoughts in hopes that there was a chance that there was something that he could do in order to both help himself and help her.
He just wanted her to wake up. He thought about using a spell or potion or something in order to wake her up, but he didn't know what that would do towards the baby, the last thing that he wanted to do was hurt their baby. He knew that if something happened to the baby because of him that there was a possibility that Jade would kill him. Well, not kill him, but he knew that there would be a handful of words that wouldn't be phrased in the most politest way. He knew that Jade would do stuff that he knew would traumatise him for the remainder of his life.
He toyed with the bracelet on his wrist—the same bracelet that was sat on Jade's wrist as a pair—he knew that he could feel the fact that she was alive, he could feel beside his heart the feeling that she was alive that the warm feeling that was always familiar to him was still there. He knew that he relied on the bracelet far more that he intended to, but it was one of the few things that he held that allowed him the relief of knowing whether the woman that he loved was still with him.
"I'm sure that she'll remember, and you'll be able to have a conversation with her about this." Devin assured. "I'm sure that she's in the same state of you, but you've got to remember that she's going through this entire thing of not knowing you fully, you have to give her time, Pete. This is like when you saw her while she was under the first curse, where she didn't know you fully, just imagine it like that."
Peter didn't like the thought of Jade—or Camilla—while she was under the first curse, he remembered seeing her and the amount of panic that he went through when he saw her once more when she didn't know her anymore. "I know, I know. But I just don't like any of this, though." The memory of what she was like when she didn't remember me is still clear in my mind and the pain now feels similar. He didn't want to think much into it, but he couldn't help himself much.
The thought of his Camilla not knowing him that fully was something that pained him more than anything, he wanted her to know him, he wanted her to know who he was and their relationship but at the same time he didn't want to rush anything. He knew that the only way to break the curses placed on her would be to kiss her—true loves kiss—but he knew that he didn't want to force anything onto her. As much as he wanted to kiss her and for this nightmare to be over, the last thing that he wanted to do was force her into something that might make her uncomfortable—he valued his life and the comfort of Camilla as a whole.
"She'll be okay," Devin tried to assure.
"But will she?" Peter asked. He looked towards her then. "Is she okay?"
****
Camilla wasn't sure where she was in her mind, but she didn't feel good all that much. She felt like she wanted to throw up, she didn't feel great. It was like her mind and body was at war with one another, there was a small part of her mind which made her believe that there was fluid gushing out of her and there was another part of her which was telling her not to believe anything that her body decides to play games on her.
Not even that, her mind felt like she was running through many memories which linked to the people she'd been with for a while. She didn't know what was happening, but it was making her feel sick at all the sudden movement around her. A part of her thought that there was a chance that none of this was real, she thought that there was a chance that she was dreaming about all of this but the pain that she felt like she was in when it came to her memories made her think that it was destroying her.
She felt like that she was chipping away at something that was blocking her memories, her connections, her emotions linked to the people that she cares about, but at the same time it was like a Dam waiting to break that there were cracks within the Dam which caused more damage towards the blockage of everything that she held dear—it was like with the first curse. It was all fucking with her brain, and it made her want to throw up or cry.
Camilla really didn't know what was going on just as a whole and no matter how much she tried to make sense of all of it, she really couldn't. She wanted to make sense of it, but it was like a complicated and difficult question that she couldn't find the right answer to, it was pissing her off. She tried her best to make sense of anything and everything, but it got to the point where she couldn't do such a thing.
She had memories of everything her father did to her, all the pain that came with that, the emotional connection that she had because of her pain because of the things that her father done to her. The pain that Regina caused her. The pain that a lot of people caused her was rushing back to her. Not only the pain but the happiness and love and wonder. . .and life that Peter brought her was cracking and flowing through the Dam like it was the most natural thing to do.
Camilla slowly felt like she was remembering her connections to everyone around her, everyone that she knew cared about her—including the blonde-haired saviour who she had a like-hate relationship at times (even though it's more of a dislike than anything else). She tried to break the dam further, she wanted control over her connections with everyone, she wanted to remember to know why she felt comfortable around the people that she met, she just wanted to know what the people meant to her as a whole and if that means breaking down this goddamn dam then so be it.
She didn't care if her hands got a little bloody or if she broke them just by banging on the brick and concrete, then so be it. She wanted to know who she is by the connections of those around her. She just wanted the truth and nothing more, she didn't care if it hurt her just to find out.
Camilla thought that there was a chance that there was no point in all of this, that there could be another way in having everything returned to her, but at the same time she didn't want to stop. She felt like she was trapped in an everlasting hell where she was in constant pain of her memories wanting to come back but were always stopped by something whether it be a curse or something more.
There were moments in her attempt to break down the dam where she felt like her body was going to give out, that there was a chance that she wouldn't be able to break free from what held her, but she kept going, she forced herself to keep going because she didn't know what would happen to herself if she stopped.
All Camilla wanted to do was talk to Peter—not in the state that she was in where she couldn't make the connection between the pair of them, but her. The real her. The one that was normal to her. She hated the fact that she'd been like this because of Zelena, and all she wanted to do was to kill Zelena for what happened to her. All she wanted was to kill Zelena for what she done and to actually talk to Peter about the idea of them being parents.
That's all that she wanted to do from the minute that she found out that she was pregnant. All she wanted to do was talk to Peter about the idea that they were going to be parents, she wanted to reach out to him talk to him and tell him how worried she was just as a whole at the idea that she—Camilla Hopper (or Jade Stiltskin)—was going to become a mother.
She knew that she always thought of the idea that she was going to be another, but she never thought that it actually happened to her. And if she had to be honest, she was absolutely afraid, mostly because she knew of the way that she'd been treated throughout her entire childhood, and she was afraid that there was a chance that she would become the monster that her father was to her. And it pained her to know how afraid she was of something that she knew that she dreamed of from time to time, she wanted to be a good parent, that's all that she wanted rather than there being a possibility that she would become her father.
The last thing that she ever wanted to do was hurt her child, she didn't want to become the person that her child might end up fearing. She wasn't Rumplestiltskin. She wasn't going to be her father but yet the thought ate at her, she knew that there was a chance that she wouldn't become the person that her father was, but it still sat with her, it still consumed her every thought. All these questions ran through her mind when it came to her child and what to expect, like, what if she is not a good parent? What if she doesn't know what she's doing?
As much as she knew that she had some form of experience when it came to looking after the Lost Boys or even when it came to looking after Henry, it just made her realise that she didn't know what she was actually doing when it came to her own child. Both her and Peter never actually discussed any idea or any plan when it came to them having a child. And now that she was in a position where she was with child, it made Camilla wonder whether or not Peter truly wanted this child or not.
Camilla knew that Peter was excited to have this kid, to have this baby, but there was this small voice in her head which told her that there was a chance that Peter was just putting on an act. There was a small part of her that thought that there was a chance that Peter just wanted another Lost Boy to add to the collection, or that there was a chance that this baby meant nothing to him. She knew that she was being dramatic that there was a chance that it was the pregnancy hormones that was causing her to overthink, but what else was she meant to do if she was trapped in her own mind?
Camilla really wanted this child, she knew that she occasionally talked about it when it came to her and Peter joking about having one of their own if it was possible on Neverland, but now that it was here, that she was actually pregnant it just made her wonder whether or not her thoughts were correct that this was what she wanted. Now, don't get her wrong, she always loved the thought of her being a parent considering that she had some form of experience of looking after children and kids, but she knew that this was different. That this would be her own child.
The more that she thought about it—and it was a lot—the more that she realised that she had no idea how to raise a child of her own. How was she meant to raise a baby? She could barely look after herself at times, and even then she knew that she had enemies. Hell, both her and Peter had enemies that would love to ruin the perfect family image that they now plan to have. Both herself and Peter were too in their own heads at times, and the thought that they now had a baby to plan for—one that they never actually planned for—come into their life, it was something that made her panic more than anything else.
What if she can't look after the baby? What if she forgets that it exists? What if it dies while on her watch? Will Peter even what to look after the baby even after its born? Would Peter just run out of the hospital screaming the minute that he sees the baby because it's actually a reality and not some random ass fantasy that the pair of them cooked up?
She knew that she was overthinking, but she couldn't help herself, it was like her mind was on hyper drive, that there was nothing stopping these thoughts from crashing into her like waves would against a beach. It was almost suffocating to know how overpowering these thoughts were when it came to the thought of her being a parent. There was a power fair that wanted to ask Snow about it, about all of this; she wanted to ask Snow about what her thoughts were while she was pregnant the first time, what her worries were.
But at the same time, she knew that Snow didn't have much of a bad home life like she did. She supposed that Snow didn't have to worry about the thought of her being abusive given that having an abusive father was all that Camilla knew. She wished that this weren't as frustrating as she was making it out to be but given that all she could do was think while she tried to break down the dam, it was hard not to think just as a whole.
She paused for a moment, trying to think back to what she was thinking about earlier, something about a beach. She already knew that the dam was broken already, that the wall was almost broken—or, well, had cracks in it—which made her think. What would happen if she allowed the water to just go against the dam? Would it be strong enough for the dam to break? She wasn't sure just as a whole, but she just wanted to try and see if it was some form of key for her to wake up just as a whole. And that's all that she wanted to do, she wanted to wake up and talk to Peter about them being parents just as a whole.
Camilla just wanted to talk to her boyfriend about all of this and she was going insane about the entire concept of her being a parent—a mother. She didn't even know what Peter was going through in terms of the idea that they were going to have a child. She knew that they had the Lost Boys, but that wasn't the same, she was just an adopted parent to them, but to know that this child was going to be theirs, it worried her more than anything.
She found herself in the main control room for the dam, she didn't know what she was going to do, but she saw buttons—and she loved pressing buttons more than anything. She pressed any button that she could come across in hopes that it might do something, but the one thing that she didn't expect when she pressed one was to feel a sharp shooting pain break through her entire body just as the water came crashing against the dam.
She tried to breath, but the pain was still there, she wanted to push past it in hopes that it was nothing—like she always did when she got hurt during a fight, but this was different, this was non-stop pain, similar how she imagined to getting stabbed and the dagger twisting around in her. She wanted it to stop, but she felt a tear and it was something that she couldn't work out just as a whole.
The water started to flow through the cracks, and she got bits and pieces of her connections with people—the memories that linked then all together—come gushing back. She wanted to be happy over the thought that she was getting her memories back, but it hurt, the pain in her body hurt more than anything. She wondered if this was a price that she had to pay in order to get everything back, she wondered if her being in pain meant something other than the fact that she was finally knowing the people around her and what made them significant in her life.
Camilla squeezed her eyes shut, cursing under her breath. She tried to breath, but it felt like she couldn't as if she were overwhelmed with something she wasn't aware of. She wanted the pain to stop but it didn't, it felt like someone decided to rip open an old wound and just shove their hand inside. She wanted to call out for Peter, she wanted him to ease the pain, but she couldn't.
It was almost like she couldn't speak, no matter how much she tried to open her mouth to say something, no words seemed to come out—only a few painful screams. It hurt, it hurt. She just wanted it to stop just as a whole. She wanted to make sense of it, she didn't understand as to why it was hurting her at all, the last time that she slowly started to remember others in Regina's curse, it never hurt like this. It made her wonder just as a whole as to why it hurt so bad, she wondered if this was Zelena's doing.
As much as Camilla wanted to get back at Zelena for everything that she's done, there was a part of her which felt as if Zelena wouldn't have made it painful for her to remember, why would Zelena do that? She knew that the best way to hurt her was to make her work for Zelena to hurt the others around her, which was something that Zelena did anyway. So, it just confused her as to why she was in pain while she was remembering the people that she has mixed feelings for.
She felt everything around her shift she wasn't sure of it was because of the dam she was on or if it was something else. She opened her eyes briefly and tried to walk, but she couldn't—or she felt like that she couldn't, though, she tried her best to at least waddle over to the door she entered from to get an idea as to what was going on.
By the time that she got onto the balcony, she looked over, gripping onto the railing. She took notice of the way that the wall of the dam was slowly breaking away—and by slowly she means, that chunks of the dam wall was slowly falling from place. Pain then filled Camilla to the point where she wanted to cry—and Camilla never normally cried from pain anymore, so it threw her off a bit. She screamed once more, it didn't help but it was the only thing that she could think of doing.
"Jade," a familiar voice called out to her. "Jade, it's okay."
She didn't know where the voice was coming from, knowing that it was comforting just as a whole, she wanted whoever it was to continue to talk, she likes the way that the voice soothed her, she wanted them to continue talking as if there was nothing going on around her. It was then that everything around her paused just for a brief moment, and she waited to see if that familiar voice would talk to her again to calm her nerves, but it didn't.
She knew that she was crying she could feel the tears on her cheeks as they fell. She tried to call herself down, but nothing was working, she tried everything in her power to make sure that she was calm but there was nothing for her to be calm about, she was in pain, and she didn't know where it was coming from. It was annoying her over the fact that she knew how much pain she was in but there was nothing for her to stop it.
There was a part of her that just wanted Peter here, but she didn't know how to get to him if she was trapped in a state where she pictured her memories and her Connexions to our loved ones as water hitting a dam. She wanted ever so much for this to stop, she wanted to be back with Peter and her boys, she wanted to be with the three boys that she cared about the most but the fact that she was here trapped was something that was really annoying her.
Suddenly, the balcony beneath her feet broke. The railing that she was leaning against broke away from the wall and from the metal ground beneath her feet. She heard the way that the metal creaked under her feet as it was breaking from the hut that she left not that long ago. She was going to turn to run back into the hut but as she did she realised that she was too late because the hut behind her had crumbled.
She didn't know what to do, she had nowhere to run and yet she was going to fall to her death. She did not want to die, she couldn't go through the thought of her dying once more. But there was nothing that she could do, she had nowhere to run, so all that there was for her to do was just to wait until the balcony crumbled beneath her feet like to Hut to did.
Just as the balcony broke off and fell, and just how she fell, she felt the way that her eyes open the first time. She was no longer by a dam she was in a hospital bed with Peter and a collection of nurses and doctors surrounding her. She didn't know what was going on and as much as she tried to figure out exactly what was going on, she let out a scream.
she looked around panicked because she didn't know what was going on. She tried to breathe, and she tried to ask but she didn't get response. She looked at Peter wanting nothing more than for him to tell her everything, but it was then that she realised the look that was written on his face, the panic, the worry, and his concern was something that was clear to her than anything else.
The look that was on his face was clear tired that what was going on should really worry her. It was then that she realised that her legs propped up and apart. She wanted to ask what was going on, but she knew that she wouldn't get an answer instead she felt the need to push. It took her another second to realise that she was more lonely a pregnancy than what she was before she fell into her sleep, and it took her another moment to realise that she was giving birth.
Or at least that's what she thought, but with everything going on it seemed like that she was going to give birth. She didn't know what to do, she saying in TV shows how when a woman was about to give birth, they at least knew what they were getting into, but Camilla didn't know at all. She thought that there was a chance that she would have enough time to prepare herself, but it was clear that Zelena had other plans just as a whole when it came to her and her baby.
Maybe this was Zelena's way to get back at her, maybe that this was Zelena's way of getting back at her for running away. She wondered if her father had any idea of what was happening to her but same time she knew that if her father knew then Zelena would know. So, she thought it was best that neither of them knew the sake of herself and for the sake of her child.
She tried to breathe because she just wanted to talk to Peter about this, but she knew that now wasn't the time—primarily because of the fact that she was about to give birth, she knew that now wasn't the time for the conversation that they could have afterwards. And yet there was still this small voice inside her head that made a worry to just in case she didn't survive, she knew that this was something that she shouldn't be worried about now that she was halfway through, but she could help the thought just as a whole.
Peter was holding a hand and she realised just how much she was squeezing his hand. She wanted to apologise for the amount of pain that she might be putting him in, but she realised that that was part of it that didn't care because the amount of pain that she was in probably didn't compare to the amount of pain that he might be in. Not only that but she knew that peter wouldn't have cared because of what she was going through.
"Keep pushing, Camilla," one of the nurses said.
Her head fell back to the pillow and once more she was yelling in pain and—of course—she pushed. she tried to best to continue even if the pain was consuming her beyond anything she ever felt. She felt the way that Peter placed his hand—or well, his free hand—over her forehead. She gave him a look one of which he took notice off and removed that hand, she didn't mean for the look to make him move but there was a part of her which didn't fancy getting touched at the moment.
She realised for a brief second, that Peter was feeling exactly what she was, and she wanted to tell him to take the bracelet off just for now, just until all of this was done. But she knew that Peter wouldn't have taken it off no matter how much she asked and no matter how much this hurt.
"I can see the head," a nurse said. It made her realise that someone was staring directly at a place that she wouldn't normally want someone to look at just as a whole. "You're almost there, Camilla, just keep pushing."
"I'm trying," Camilla panted. She didn't know how much longer she could go on, this was exhausting her that was just a part of her that wanted to go to sleep and just pray that all of this will be over, but she knew that she couldn't.
She felt the way that Peter gave her hand a quick squeeze before she returned to her pushing. It was then that she realised—or more correctly—she hadn't realised just how much time had passed. One minute she fell Peter gripping her hand and the next she heard the sounds of a baby crying. She didn't know what think just as a whole, but there was just this part of that that was so happy that the pain was over and the facts that she survived—and not only that but she was grateful that she actually had a child.
It was then that the realisation kind of set in, she was a parent, she was a mother. She was something that she was afraid to be but yeah it was something that she'd wished for, for so long. She looked up and so the relief written across Peter's face, and it was then that she realised just how much of a relief all of this was. She had a child, she has a baby, but not only that she has a baby with the man that she loves the most. She knew that this was something that she'd always wanted but she never actually imagined that she would actually get it.
She found herself laughing then, and she knew that it probably didn't make sense for her to laugh. But she couldn't help herself, Camilla couldn't help herself but to laugh just as a whole. She was tired and all she wanted to do was sleep but she never felt as wide awake as she did right now. She noticed the odd look that she got from Peter though there was a smile on his face, she squeezed his hand then, just slightly.
Camilla sighed with relief, there was still a part of her which ached still, but she had a feeling that it would pass. She shut her eyes for a brief moment, feeling the way that everyone around her moved, doing whatever needed to be done as a whole. She didn't know what to think as a whole, there was too much floating around in her head and all she wanted to do was to sleep even though everything within her was buzzing.
"It's a boy, Jade," Peter said beside her. She opened her eyes then and looked towards Peter—in his arms was a small being wrapped in a blanket, their baby boy.
She leaned up, this overwhelming feeling hit her like waves would a beach, she found herself smiling and reaching for her son—her child. Peter placed their baby into her arms and Camilla found herself cradling her boy. She was grinning—like a real and authentic grin down at the baby in her arms. The worry that she had when it came to her being a mother was looping in the back of her mind, but she tried her best to ignore it.
This was their baby, their child. Their little Lost Boy. She wondered if a moment, precious as this, could ever get ruined. She wanted to stay in this moment for as long as possible, she wanted nothing more than to feel this feeling of joy forever, but she knew that it wouldn't last long, so she knew that this feeling was precious to her.
"We have a son," Camilla muttered. She looked up at Peter and she knew that she was crying but she didn't care, Peter was crying too, and she never thought that she would be here with an opportunity that she never expected to have as a whole.
"We have a son," Peter repeated.
After a moment, a nurse—or doctor, Camilla wasn't paying much attention—moved her legs so that she was fully laying down. She found herself groaning slightly at the sudden movement. Peter placed his hand on her arm then, rubbing her exposed skin and another hand just touching their son who fussed in her arms.
Just for a moment, there was silence where the pair of them were just admiring their son—Camilla was utterly exhausted, she could feel the slight adrenaline wearing off, but even still, she wanted to stay in this moment for as long as she could.
The door of her room opened and there stood David. For a moment, Camilla thought that something bad was happening and that David was coming here to tell her something, but the look on his face was something that she hadn't expected to see as a whole. He took notice of the sight before him and then he smiled. He smiled at them and then came over to her and Peter and their new-born son.
"I suppose congratulations are in need," David commented.
"Thank you," Peter said.
"We have a son." Camilla told, smiling. "We have a son."
David smiled and lightly chuckled then. "Congratulations." He looked between the pair of them then. "I'm happy for you both."
Peter smiled at him then.
For a brief moment, there was a part of Camilla which realised that there must've been a reason as to why David was here. She knew well enough that David wouldn't willingly visit her when it came to her health or anything to do with just her as a person. She found that her excitement and joy was slowly fading.
"What is it?" Camilla asked. David gave her a look. "Don't give me that look. We both know that you wouldn't be here unless someone else like Snow or Emma were here because something happened to them."
David seemed to have given in as a whole as he then sighed. "Something happened with Snow. We tried to contact Cora to understand Zelena's past a bit more. It was somewhat successful, but it ended up with Cora's ghost possessing Snow." He rubbed his brow then with one hand on his hip. "Dr Whale told us that she was okay and so was the baby. But that's not the only reason as to why I came here."
"Well, what is it?" Peter somewhat tensed then.
"Belle figured out the spell that Zelena is planning on using," David informed. "She's planning to go back in time, and we assume that she's either going to use your baby or ours. Zelena is planning to go back to kill Snow's mother." He somewhat sighed. "We thought that there was a possibility that one of our babies were the key to the spell, she put in a lot of effort to make sure that you stayed by her side and clearly move your pregnancy along faster and also put a lot of effort into being close to our baby."
"Wait," Peter said. "Are you saying that our baby is going to be a target for Zelena for this. . .time travel spell. In all the years of being alive, I've never heard of anyone succeeding in those spells." Peter rose to his feet then. "But I swear on everything, I will slaughter her if she dares to place her hand on my child."
Camilla turned to Peter then. "Hey, we will slaughter her if she dares to harm our son."
A nurse came over to them and went to take hold of Camilla's son then just to place him into a cradle beside her bed. Peter muttered a small spell under his breath then and Camilla watched as a small protective bubble wrapped around the cradle, it caused their son to fuss a little.
"You need to rest." Peter instructed. He then looked at David then. "Thank you for coming down here and telling us."
"Of course," David said. "Is there anything that you need me to do?"
"Make sure to not tell everyone about our son being here." Peter told. "For obvious reasons."
David smiled then and left. Camilla found herself sinking back into her bed, she felt exhausted, like it finally decided to creep back up on her—or hit her like a bus. She just wanted to fall asleep but she at the same time she didn't want to, she didn't want to close her eyes and then open them again just to see that her baby was gone.
She felt the way that Peter's hand made its way into her own and she let out a small groan. "I'm so tired Peter." She casted a quick look towards Peter then. "What if Zelena planned that once I had our son that she would kill me then? I don't want her to kill me, Pete."
"She won't." Peter tried to assure. "She'll have to get past me to get to you."
"But I don't want you to die just to protect me," Camilla said. "I can't loose you too, my love."
Peter gave her this soft look which she knew was reserved only for her. "You won't loose me, Jade, my Lost Girl." He moved her hand towards his lips then. "Forever and always."
He kissed her hand then and she felt a buzz through her. She realised that it was something similar to the feeling that she felt when her stone curse was broken. She felt a rush of quick relief come over her and she knew that she was smiling. She knew that she'd broken part of the curse on her in her dream, but to know that it was fully broken was something of a relief for her.
"Forever and always," Camilla repeated.
Peter didn't say anything, he just stood up and placed a small kiss on her forehead. She was home and she finally knew the people around her and that was all that mattered to her the most. She would rest, but she felt like she couldn't even with Peter here and even with knowing that he'd protect both her and their son. She was happy to know that she finally had her son, and she was happy to finally get that fucking curse off of her, but to know that there was still something that worried her made it hard for her to relax.
"You can rest, my love," Peter whispered. "You can rest."
Camilla didn't say anything, she let her eyes shut then, she let sleep consume her. She had to trust that Peter would protect her—she means, he's protected her for as long as she's known him, she knew that he wouldn't let his guard down at all, even now she knew that he wouldn't. It was one of the many things that she loved about him and one of the many things that made her realise just how loved she truly was.
