Chapter Seventy Three-Their Happy Beginning

Chapter Seventy Three-Their Happy Beginning

↬↬↬

I only own Jade/Camilla and my ideas.

Final chapter, lads, how we feeling??

Over the past few weeks since they defeated Zelena, and since finding out Snow and David's baby's name, Storybrooke had been buzzing with this kind of energy. An energy that could only be caused by the thought of another wedding. A wedding between both Peter Pan and Camilla Hopper. Of course, Camilla had heard some whispers of concern between some people over the fact that Peter Pan and Jade Stiltskin were to be joined in marriage and how that was something that everyone needed to be concerned with, considering that they were two villains who could destroy them all if they wanted.

Of course it was something that Camilla tried not to think about much, she somewhat found it amusing that everyone was still somewhat concerned about the type of person she was and that she was someone that they should fear in a way. She knew that she shouldn't be focused on the things that others were saying about her and her soon-to-be husband considering that they were working on their wedding with the help of Snow and David, as well as Regina. There was the occasional help from her father which was something which surprised Camilla as a whole given the fact that she thought that her father wouldn't care that much about her.

The more that she thought about the people that were helping her the more grateful she really was. She know that this was what she needed and of course to have people help her was something that she loved. Peter also managed to get into contact with some of the Lost Boys to see if they wanted to help and attend considering that no matter what they were still family and that they were always welcome. That was the main thing which she kept tearing up at, knowing that the lost boys still cared and still thought of them as their parents.

Throughout the planning of their wedding, Camilla somewhat forgot that she needed to wear a dress, it was the one thing that the forgot about the most knowing that there were other things that needed her priority. She thought that if she continued to forget that she needed a dress one might magically appear, she knew that she needed to get one but they didn't like the thought of trying on multiple dresses until she found one after giving in.

It didn't help that Snow was on her case about it as a whole which made forgetting about getting a dress even harder. See, she hadn't quite told Snow the truth that she hadn't got a dress yet mainly because she knew that of the told the truth is would had to the hundreds of dresses to try on which was something that she didn't want to do as a whole. Of course, this meant that she had been telling Snow lies about her dress. Which, of course, led her to the situation now where Snow was at her front door with baby Neal in a carry cot with David.

"Jade! Snow is here with David!" Peter called up to her. She was hiding in their office which was by the three boys rooms. Of course, she actually wasn't hiding given that some of the wedding planning was happening in their office between their efforts to not get too excited about everything.

"Be down in a minute!" Camilla yelled back.

She heard footsteps come running up and then down the hall. Peter's voice than called up once more. "She slipped past me! Sorry!"

Camilla didn't know what he meant for a moment but when she saw Snow standing in the door way of the office, a sense of dread seemed to creep upon her knowing that there was a chance that she wouldn't be able to lie about her wedding dress one more. As much as she knew that Snow was helping her with everything to do with her wedding, there was something about the need to search for the dress which made it all too real for her liking. As much as she knew that she had actively been planning the wedding which should have made it all real for her, she found that it didn't which was why the thought of the wedding dress was something that could finally make it real.

"Show me it." Snow said rather a normal greeting.

Camilla pressed her lips together knowing that she was about to have one confused Princess on her hands. Or one that wanted to kill her. Either one. "What do you want me to show you?" she knew that she shows it be playing dumb but she couldn't help it.

"You know what, Camilla." Snow told, crossing her arms.

She gave Snow a small look. "Well, these needs to be some discussion about the matter of my wedding dress."

Snow's face dropped slightly as if she were about to hear the worst news possible. Which she was given that the wedding was in two days, and she still had no idea what she was wearing or what she was going to do as a whole. As much as she was tempted to arrive in a pair of jeans and a shirt just to call it a day, she know that there was a chance that she would ruin her day with Peter if she chose to do such a thing. And that was something that she didn't want to do. She knew that this day was important to him just like it is to her.

"You don't have one do you?" Snow asked.

Camilla shook her head. "No, I don't."

Snow looked as if she was a few seconds away from attempted murder which made Camilla feel like she was a child once more while being scolded by her father for something she didn't do. She found herself not wanting to look up at Snow.

"Well, guess I'll have to drag you're ass around a bridal shop at last." Snow told. She came and knelt down beside Camilla. "I know that you're going to hate this, but I can assure you that once you find the dress that you love, it will all be fine."

Camilla somewhat smiled. "But having a dress would make this feel all too real and that is what I'm worried about the most. Like what if me having my dress leads to me not wanting to go through with the wedding? I want to marry Peter but knowing that we are actually about to get married makes it more real than I expected, and it worries me, you know?"

She knew that she rambled but there was a part of her which felt as if she couldn't fully talk to Peter about any of it and as much as she wanted to, there was something telling her that she shouldn't, that there was a chance that he wouldn't understand even if there was a chance that he did. Camilla really wanted to get married to him, it has always been her dream but knowing that it was so close made her more worried than anything else. She supposed she would always get married on Neverland, there was a part of her which wished that she was, at least it would be easier to plan as a whole.

"I know that it all makes it feel real by having a dress, trust me, when I got my dress, it made it all too real." Snow told. "It's nerve wracking as a whole, I know, to go through with a wedding and getting a dress, but I also know you. I know how long you've waited to finally have Peter by your side and wanting to marry him, I know how much this all means to you. I can promise you that this is going to be the best thing to happen, you've waited so long to get this chance and I will not let you back out of it if it's the last thing I do"

Camilla grinned slightly and shook her head. "I think I need more pep talks from you more often, you seem to know what to say."

"It's not every day that my friend gets married to the person she loves the most." Snow said. "Plus, you've been to here and back more times than I can count, you deserve to be happy at last."

"At this rate I might retire and get my pension out." Camilla joked.

"I'm serious," Snow said. "You deserve to be happy, and I will fight anyone who thinks that you shouldn't."

"I'd laugh if you had to fend off the entire town because they believe that I shouldn't." Camilla said. She wasn't exactly joking considering the whispers around town going about how she was getting married to Peter Pan. A part of her wanted to say that she understood considering the amount of damage that she caused when they liked in the Enchanted Forest before the first curse and even the slight damage that she caused while being with Zelena, it would be somewhat understanding if someone didn't like the fact that she was getting married. Not to mention the stuff that Peter done.

Some might say that they were suited for one another, the two people that can destroy the world without much encouragement. She know that there were people in Storybrooke that probably hate the idea that they were getting married, there was a part of her which expected someone to break the peace and decide to announce the worst thing to hear, like how Regina done it at Snow's wedding.

"Since when has Jade Stiltskin ever cared for others' opinions?" Snow asked, trying to give Camilla some kind of motivation which she partly needed but not that much.

"Since aways," Camilla told, "but this is different. Normally I can ignore everything, but this is different. This is about my relationship with the person I love more than anything else. As much as I want to forget everything about what people are staying about me and this wedding, I can't because I know that my children will hear it, hell, they probably have."

Snow hugged her even though she hadn't asked for one, though, Camilla didn't mind. She hadn't talked to Peter about any of this mainly because there was a part of her which felt if she was going insane and that she didn't need to worry Peter over something that probably didn't seem like much. It seemed like that aside from the wedding the thought of wondering what everyone was saying about her was all that seemed to go through her head, and it was pissing her off.

"Come, we can go hunting before we do anything else. Get you outside for a bit. Maybe I'll turn a blind eye while you threaten anyone who dares to talk bad about this." Snow suggested.

"I'll do the hunting; I don't think I have the energy in me to threaten people." Camilla told. There was a part of Camilla that was slightly happy over the fact that Snow didn't stay on the subject of what others were saying, knowing that there was a chance that maybe it was nothing.

"Then we hunt," Snow said, "just like old times."

That made Camilla smile more.

****

Peter and David were left alone with their kids and with each other while Snow and Camilla went out. He'd known that there was a chance that the pair of them would go out, not like Peter cared, he was rather happy that she was going out. She'd been so worried about making sure that Finn was okay, that both Baz and Devin were okay, as well as trying to keep up with everything related to their wedding. It was something that was worrying Peter a lot, knowing that she still felt as if she had to take care of everything. He'd tried talking to her about it considering on how much it was worrying him. He didn't like how much she was worrying as if she had to make someone proud, a part of him was glad that Snow decided to take her out, she needed time away from au of this even if it was for a moment.

Peter forgot whose idea it was for both baby Neal and Finn to grow up as friends, but, there was a part of him which was glad that his children had friends that weren't each other. Not saying that it's a bad thing but to know that Baz and Devin had Henry as their friend and to know that there was a chance that Finn would grow up having Neal as his friend. There was something about that which made him happy.

"I'm glad that they're back to how they used to be." David said. Peter hadn't been paying much attention as a whole, so he just gave David an odd look. "I just mean that with everything that happened, with Jade's betrayal when we realised that she and Regina had worked together, with how closed off Camilla got with her curse, to how aggressive she was on Neverland, and even with dying and Zelena, there was a part of me which thought that there was a chance that they would be friends once more."

Peter wanted to smile but found that he couldn't. "I suppose that with what we are and what we do, it's bound to get messy and complicated." Peter sighed. "You know when you all were on Neverland, she told us what happened to her when she got back, or when she was kidnapped away from us. She told us what kind of person she became, one consumed of rage, consumed of all things negative. She said that the one thing that she regretted was betraying both you and Snow because of how much she knew it would hurt you both. But do you know why she did it?" He paused though didn't wait for an answer. "She did it because she thought Regina had a way back to me, she done it because she thought Regina was going to hurt you both and thought that the only way to protect you was to join her."

He hadn't to ramble for as long as he did, but there was something in him which told him that he needed to protect and defend Camilla even though she didn't need to be defended especially to David. Though, he still felt as if he had to defend her no matter what.

David closed his eyes as if he were in pain. "I know. Since we found out about everything that she done in order to protect herself and us, I felt bad for how I treated her. She needed us, she needed all of us and yet we were part of the reason why she left in the first place. I still feel bad about the way that I treated her, and I wish that I could undo my actions towards her."

"You know, that's the one thing that she has wanted to hear. Her regret was betraying you." Peter said.

David somewhat smiled though he didn't say anything. Even if Camilla hadn't told him everything about what happened, Peter always knew that the guilt was something that ate at her he could feel it as if he was the one to do such a thing. "I know, I think that even when the curse broke, she tried to prove herself to all of us and we ignored it. It wasn't until we reached Neverland that we at least had an idea about the amount of pain that she must have been in. And then she died and there wasn't a chance for me to apologise to her for everything."

Peter smiled slightly at that. "Maybe, you could say something at our wedding."

David somewhat chuckled at that. "Maybe I will. After everything, she deserves this life with you and the Lost Boys and little Finn. She's finally getting the happy ending that she deserves the most and after so much fighting, she's got it."

Peter didn't say anything considering that he wasn't sure on what to say just as a whole. Though, now that he thought of the Lost Boys, he wondered on where his two Lost Boys were, Peter knew that they were with Henry but the slight wonder of what they were doing ran through his mind. That and the fact that he wondered whether or not Baz and Devin were hanging out with the other Lost Boys.

There was many thoughts which ran through his mind, but he was grateful that he still had his lost boys and the woman that he loved. There was a small part of him which still couldn't believe that he was getting married to Camilla. It was something that shocked him the most, not the fact that she said "yes" but the fact that they were actually going through with the marriage and the wedding without worrying whether or not someone was going to split them up.

"If anyone tries to ruin this day for either of you, I can assure you that I would protect and make sure that no one disturbs it." David said as is he could read Peter's mind.

"Thanks," Peter muttered.

Peter was somewhat grateful for those around them for their help. He knew that if it wasn't for Snow, the chances of them having their wedding as soon as it was, was something that Peter could thank Snow for as a whole. Of course, he knew that there was a chance that he could have just magic-ed everything and be over and done with it, but there was something about being in Storybrooke which made him not want to do such a thing. He wasn't sure if it was because he knew that the arrangements that he had sorted on Neverland would be different here, or it was the fact that there was something else playing with him.

****

Camilla knew that once they'd finished hunting, the search for the right dress was something that was going to take forever. There was a part of Camilla that knew that she shouldn't have put it off, but at the same time, there was that worry that played into her mind over all of this being too real. Which was why she was trying to drag out them hunting for as long as she could. She knew that her having a dress was important, but she still didn't want to worry about it just yet.

"Camilla," Snow said after a while. The pair of them were hiding behind a tree that laid on its side, overhead was a rabbit which perked up at the sound of Snow's voice. There was a part of Camilla which waned to tell Snow to be quiet though, the pair of them knew that this would be the sixth rabbit that they would have caught if Camilla shot her arrow. "We need to get back."

The rabbit skidded away which made Camilla sigh just as a whole. She lowered her bow and arrow, turning so her back could rest on the tree trunk. "I know, I know, I just want the issue of my dress to just vanish."

Snow placed her hand over Camilla's as if she was trying to comfort her, which Camilla tried to but at the same time she couldn't. It was within this moment that there was a part of her which wanted to speak to her mother to see what she would have to say about all of it, to hear the advice that she would give her. It was the one thing that she hated the most, that there was no grave for her to go to in hopes to find comfort in speaking to her.

"We can start small, if you like." Snow suggested. "We could look online for any suggestions that match your theme. We don't have to jump straight into searching in shops for the one that you want, hell, it might make it a little bit more easier for you."

She looked at Snow as if she was confused as to what Snow was saying as a whole, though before she could say anything, Snow rose to her feet, and pulled Camilla onto hers and dragged her back to the car. Camilla had been the one to drive them to the forest—it was another gift from her father when he helped them with their own apartment, that and the fact that somehow during the curse, someone thought it was safe for everyone to allow her to drive.

Camilla didn't pull away from Snow's grip on her hand, she allowed herself to be dragged and she allowed Snow to push her into her own car. Camilla waited for Snow to join her and to close the door behind her as she got it before driving back into town. Camilla didn't know where to go as was primarily following where Snow was directing her between their minimal conversation.

There wasn't much to be said on their way back considering that she found that driving allowed her to clear her mind from the worry that she got herself in, that and the fact that she liked the thought of watching as everything goes by. There was a part of her which wanted to see how far she could drive outside of Storybrooke without having to worry that something bad might happen to her, she wanted to see what kind of world was outside of this town, though she knew that it was probably nothing, but even still.

"Stop here," Snow told. Camilla did just as that. They were on the other side of town, the last time that the pair of them were here was when Camilla decided to go for a wander back when they were cursed and Camilla had to come and get her and bring her back home. It was where the pair of them fully bonded outside of working together in the school—Camilla had an emotional breakdown in her arms which somehow bound them to be friends during the curse.

They'd gotten out and in front of them was a small section of shops which looked somewhat deserted though that was something that she didn't worry about just as a whole, she knew that there was a bar not too far away and there was a part of her which wanted to go inside and have far too many drinks than what she can handle, though she knew that drinking wouldn't help her issue just as a whole.

Snow came to her side and took her arm. "I'll let someone know that your car is here, get someone to pick it up. We have a lot to do."

Camilla groaned slightly. "I just got that car as well." As much as she loved the fact that Snow was getting her to do something other than overthinking, there was a part of her of which didn't want to leave her car on the other side of town. "If anyone decides to scratch my car, I'll stab whoever I find done it."

"I think once people realise that it's your car, no one would dare to touch it." Snow laughed.

"Good."

"Come, we need to get your dress, or at least search for an idea for what it could be as a whole." Snow said, dragging Camilla more towards the bridal shop down the road. For a moment, Camilla wondered as to why Snow hadn't gotten her to park outside of the shop but then at the same time she realised that it was probably for the best that she got dragged inside.

The one thing of which she didn't expect just as a whole when they entered the bridal shop was the fact that Regina was sitting there waiting for the pair of them to arrive. The bell signalled that someone came inside which made Regina look up and for relief to fill her face as if she'd been waiting for them for a while—which she guessed she was right given the look on her face.

"I've been waiting for half-an-hour," Regina said. "This better be important."

Snow greeted Regina quick. "It is very important. Camilla doesn't have a wedding dress and I've taken it upon myself to help her the best that I can in order to make the wedding great."

Regina gave Camilla a questionable look as if she couldn't believe what she was hearing. "You still don't have your wedding dress?"

Camilla shook her head. "No. I knew that the minute that I got my dress, it would make everything more real, and that was what worried the most. That if I got a dress there was a chance that I would back out and ruin what I've dreamed of for so long, which means that I would disappoint Peter."

Regina came up towards Camilla while Snow went to talk to the owner of the shop. Regina placed her hands on her biceps. "I can assure you that even though all of this is stressful and the worry is justifiable, there's nothing that you could do which could disappoint Peter. I've seen that boy be so determined to bring you back when you died and the determination that he had when he realised that you were alive. He wouldn't care what you wore, whether it's a dress or not, he'll just be happy that he's marrying you." Regina made Camilla look at her. "Peter loves you no matter what, this is your day, whatever you want to do, you can do."

Camilla found herself smiling. "I know. But—"

"—No buts. I will not take any buts." Regina cut off. There was a sincere smile on her face which made it more comforting than anything else. It made her feel like one of the few times that Regina and she worked together, and Regina decided to be nice to her. "I will make sure that you get your dress, no matter what. I will do anything and everything in my power to make sure that your wedding day is the best day to exist."

"Thanks, Regina." Camilla said.

Regina just gave her a small smile, one of which Camilla found comfort in in some way. as much as she knew that Regina had caused her some pain in her life, there was a part of her which couldn't hate Regina as much as she thought that she would have—and believe her, she had tried to hate Regina so much, but there have been times similar to like this where she found that she couldn't hate Regina for anything. Despite the fact that Camilla was older than her, Regina still treated her as if Camilla was her daughter, and that was something that Camilla love in some small way.

Regina took her hand and took her to look throughout the shop. Though the one thing of which caught Camilla's eye was a binder full of dresses, that was a part of her which wanted to reach out and look through the binder of dresses but at the same time she didn't want to waste time trying to find the right dress which might fit her, she knew that today was just to find what would fit or to see what dress was best suited for the theme and her as a whole.

She knew that there was a chance that this was going to be the most stressful time for her thanks to her grand idea of putting off her dress until the last minute. God, she knew that her worry got the best of her when it came to knowing that the wedding was real, but at the same time, she was regretting everything. Though, she was glad that she had both Regina and Snow with her now, at least they could help her. They knew her, so she hoped that there was something that they could do to help.

****

Camilla wasn't sure how long they'd been in the bridal shop, she'd lost count of the hours and if she had to be honest, she felt as if she was loosing her sanity—or what was left of it—every dress that she'd tried on didn't feel right, they either felt too exposing, too un-like her, too over-the-top, too much of everything, and if Camilla was to be honest, she wanted to break down and cry.

She knew that she needed to relax but nothing felt right and it was pissing her off so much. She just wanted to find the right dress, she just wanted there to be one dress that seemed right. Camilla had a feeling that Regina and Snow could pick up on her mood shift, and were trying their best to let her have time between each dress to calm down as much as she could, but the more that she sat there and looked at all of the dresses, she wanted to curl up in a ball and cry.

She knew that there was a chance that she was being overdramatic but none of this seemed right. There was something missing from all of the dresses and she couldn't figure out what was wrong, at first she thought that the problem was the fact that the fabric didn't feel right as a whole, that there was something about the way that the fabric felt on her skin which irritated her, but she realised that it wasn't that. The more that she tried to think about it the more that she realised that she was going insane.

At one point, she couldn't keep it together anymore. When they thought that she was trying a dress on, Camilla came out in her normal clothes that she started the day in and found herself laying in front of a very confused Regina and Snow who were more concerned than confused. They shared a look with one another while the woman that worked in the shop just tutted.

"Camilla," Regina began. "Is everything okay?"

Camilla didn't know what to say, she knew what the issue was but at the same time it felt as if there wasn't enough words in the world to describe what her issue was. All she could do was lay there in silence in hopes that the right dress could fall right out of the sky. All she wanted was a dress that was right, all she hoped was that there was a dress that existed in this world of which fitted the theme of her wedding.

As much as she wanted to rant about everything to do with all of the dresses that she'd try it on and all of the dresses she was bound to try on, she found that the words wouldn't come out, that they were trapped inside her brain. She sat there for a while trying to figure out the words of which she could say to the pair of them which could explain everything going on within her brain, though the more that she sat there, the more concerned that both Regina and Snow got.

"Camilla, we can pause for a moment." Snow suggested. "If this is getting too much for you?"

Camilla shook her head slightly, though just as she went to open her mouth to respond to Snow, the bell rung and the one person that she didn't expect to see came strolling in cane in hand. Camilla watched as he came in and there was this sudden urge within her that told her that she needed to say something, that she needed to get him to go away but she found that she couldn't.

"I guess I could say that I came just in time." Gold said. There was this smug look on his face which Camilla wanted to punch off, though she knew that she had to restrain herself. She couldn't do anything to him even though she had every right to do such a thing.

"Father," Camilla bitterly greeted. "What are you doing here?"

Gold gave her a look. "Belle told me that you were looking for a dress for your wedding, I thought that I might help."

Camilla gave him a confused look, wondering as to why he would want to suddenly help all of a sudden. "Oh yay. You're a good few hours late. I'm giving up."

"What?" Snow almost yelled. "You can't give up. This is your wedding."

"And there are no dresses that feel right enough for me to wear and it's pissing me off." Camilla said. She crossed her arms and there was a part of her which felt like a spoiled brat that couldn't get her way, she knew that she had to be patient that there were many dresses that she hadn't tried on yet that might be the one but she was already drained too much in order to continue.

"Maybe something that reminds you of Neverland?" Snow suggested.

Camilla looked around the countless of white wedding dresses. "Do you see any dresses that look like forest green or scream 'Neverland'?" She knew that she was being sarcastic, but she couldn't help it at this point.

Snow looked down with a sudden sad look which made Camilla feel bad as a whole, knowing that Snow was trying to help her as a whole. She knew that she shouldn't take it out on someone who'd been helping her with this entire thing, but she was just frustrated as a whole that nothing seemed right just as a whole.

"Sorry," Camilla said. "I know that you're trying to help."

"Maybe, I could help you find something that seems right." Gold suggested.

Camilla shot him an odd look, a part of her didn't want his help, but she knew that there was a chance that he was trying to have a relationship with her after everything of which happened, but at the same time there was this nagging thought in the back of her mind which told her that he wasn't someone that he should trust as a whole.

However, she was desperate at this point. The sun was slowly setting and all she wanted was the search for her dress to be over and done with. She looked at Gold trying to figure out whether or not there was something cruel that Gold was planning, though the more that she looked, the more that she realised that this was the father that she wanted for so long. All she wanted was for a father do actually want to do stuff in her life for her, and she finally had the option to do such a thing.

"Okay," Camilla said. She knew that there was a chance it might regret actually agreeing to her father said or what he was trying to do, but Camilla found that she really didn't care at the moment. As long as she got one worry out of the way then that's all that mattered.

Gold moved his hand as if to gesture for her to stand on the runway which Camilla was hesitant to do but she realised that she needed to stop worrying about everything. She took in a deep breath and took stand on the runaway and closed her eyes—or at least kept her eyes to the floor. There was a part of Camilla which didn't want to look at what kind of dress her father was bound to give her, she wasn't even sure why she was trusting him to begin with.

For a moment, there was nothing, and then she heard the way that Snow gasped as the smoke around her body cleared. She'd always thought it odd that magic couldn't harm her directly and still could affect her clothing in a way. Camilla found that she didn't want to open her eyes, there was a part of her which knew that she should open her eyes and look at what kind of dress her father made her, but she found that it was a struggle.

"Oh, Camilla." Regina sounded pleased. Or delighted? Camilla couldn't tell. She found herself afraid, her hands joining in front of her just to pick at the skin, though she swallowed down her fears and turned herself to the mirror—she'd basically memorised where the mirror was by the amount of times she'd used it already—and then she opened her eyes.

****

Peter and David had spent the course of the two days leading up to the wedding preparing the final things while Regina and Snow tried to deal with Camilla. He'd missed seeing Camilla over the course of the two days—she'd come home with Regina and Snow as the two were whispering to her in hushed tones and hiding what Peter thought looked as if was her dress. He'd wanted to ask her about it but because of the fact that Regina and Snow were occupying her time, he found it rather difficult.

There had been times throughout the two days where Devin and Baz would run between the pair of them with a grin on their faces which made Peter feel nervous just as a whole. He knew that there was a chance that he was overthinking something but the fact that his sons could see the woman he was marrying made him a little sad. All he wanted was to see his Jade and hold her for hours before letting her go about her day, was that too much to ask?

"How you feeling?" David asked.

It was the day of his and Jade's wedding and all he could think about was the woman he was finally getting married to. He was nervous, nauseous, worried, he felt too much of everything and even though he knew that there was a chance that he couldn't see her, all he wanted was her. He wanted to hold her, he wanted to see her even if for a moment. Not only that but he was thinking about Finn and whether or not Devin and Baz could handle their baby brother for the ceremony. He trusted them but it didn't stop him from being worried as a whole.

"Good, I guess," Peter weakly said. He was excited to finally get married to Jade, but at the same time he felt sad because he knew that he had to wait a few more hours before seeing the woman he loved. He couldn't wait to get this all done and out of the way, knowing that once it was over, he could finally call Jade his wife—though at this point, she already felt like his wife, but to know that they'd be one was what made it all exciting.

"Don't sound too excited, mate," Hook commented. Hook was in a nice suit, Peter had banned him from wearing leather to his wedding which Hook somewhat protested against though ended up agreeing to it which made Peter smiled in some way. At least he could still make Hook listen to him.

"Sorry," Peter said. "I just want to see her. It's been two days and I already feel agitated over the fact that I've not seen her."

"Talk about attachment issues," David muttered.

"Hey!" Peter said. "I'm aware." He crossed his arms though found that the suit he wore was kind of restricting to wear. His waist coat—as David called it—was forest green on grey with some kind of design, his tie was the same design as his waist coat, and the handkerchief in his pocket was the same. They'd decided that for the theme of their wedding would be similar to where they fell in love—it was the closest that the could get to given the rare ability to dimension-cross. That and they were sure that no one would want to be dragged to Neverland once more.

"You'll get to see her once again," David assured, "and she'll be beautiful."

"She already is," Peter told, a small smile on his face at the thought of Jade. He loved her with his entire soul that it ached. Could loving someone this much really hurt his soul just at the thought of them? He knew that there was a chance that he was being overdramatic, but he really loved Jade more than anything.

He was too deep in his own thoughts about Jade that he'd missed the look shared between both David and Hook. There were other Lost Boys that were scattered around the room—Peter had asked them to be with him while he got changed, partly because he wanted the comfort of having the boys with him. Not that David and Hook's company was bad but because he missed his Lost Boys being around him.

"Pete," Max said. One of the Lost Boys, he was a little taller than him with long brown hair that just came down to his jaw. "You ready?"

Peter gave Max a small nod, there was a slight twist in his heart when he looked at the Lost Boys, there was a part of him which wanted to make sure that he could adopt all of them in this world and make sure that they all stayed together. As much as he knew that Jade would like that idea, he knew that it would be chaos, it was already chaos with Devin and Baz, he didn't want to know what it would be like with the others. He might need to ask Jade on how she felt about having the other Lost Boy's come live with them—of course, that would mean getting another place to live that could accommodate all of them.

Peter smiled. "Yeah, I'm ready."

With that, the group left. Gold managed to get a limo into Storybrooke which was something that surprised Peter a bit, though there was something telling him that this wasn't the last kind act that Gold would gift to them. They'd piled into the limo and for a moment Peter thought that they all wouldn't fit—which they didn't which Peter was somewhat sad about, though the few that didn't fit seemed contempt in walking.

By the time that Peter arrived there were a few lingering around near—they'd planned that their wedding was going to be near the edge of the forest considering the fact that they wanted the feel of Neverland. It was one of the few things that they agreed on, the colour scheme was something that they'd found difficult as there was a few ideas that they couldn't settle on as a whole.

Though, now that they arrived, Peter could at least advise in some places like where some stuff should be. Their binder was something that they'd spent countless of sleepless nights working on when Finn was difficult to put to sleep, so they spent many nights finishing up the planning. They were lucky enough that they had help with a handful of magic users which could make the process a lot easier.

For the next few hours Peter helped those setting up like Snow and Emma with how everything should be, though David tried to get him away from doing anything as they all knew exactly how everything should be. It wasn't until Devin appeared and dragged him away and Peter found himself gushing over Finn like many times before.

Camilla, on the other hand, was having the most stressful time of her life. She knew that there was nothing to worry about and the fact that she shouldn't be worrying, but knowing that today was the day that she was getting married to the man that she loved so much was what was stressing her out the most. She wanted it to be perfect and there was a small voice in her head that was telling her that something bad was going to happen. She knew that nothing bad was going to happen but she couldn't stop feeling like that.

There was a part of her which just wanted Peter, to hold him. Maybe it was her need to be by Peter's side which was stressing her out, she hadn't fully seen him for the past two days and that was enough to tip her over the edge. There were times where if she didn't see Peter first thing in the morning she got worried. Maybe it was unhealthy on how attached to Peter she was but at this point she could just add it to the list of issues that she has.

She shook her head, trying to rid her mind of the thoughts, though instead she was greeted with Regina snapping at her. "Quit moving. You're ruining my work."

If she had to be honest, she forgot that Regina was doing her hair. "Sorry Gina." Regina had done both her hair and makeup and Camilla was thankful for her help as a whole, knowing that she could count on Regina the most.

"I can assure you, Jade, that this will be perfect." Regina assured. She was one of the few people that seemed to read her perfectly and it somewhat stressed Camilla out on how many times Regina has noticed that something has been wrong.

"I know but—"

"—what did I say about the 'b' word?" Regina asked. Over the course of these two days, Regina had to ban Camilla's use of the word 'but' considering on how many times she'd used it. It was used in most of her sentences which she supposed she understood on how annoying it could be.

"Sorry," Camilla said. "I'm worried and panicky."

"I know," Regina said. "I was like this on my wedding day, it's normal to feel worried and panicky about the day. Though, you've got us—you've got me, and Snow, and Emma, and the Lost Boys, and everyone else—working on making sure that today runs smoothly for you and Peter."

"Will everything run smoothly?" Camilla asked. She was thankful that no one else was in the room which was at her request, she didn't want anyone else to see what she looked like in her dress, makeup, and with her hair done. Regina helped a little with her getting that, knowing that she was going to get all nervous beforehand.

"Yes." Regina promised. "If it doesn't and someone interrupts, I'll gladly turn them into a bug for you."

Camilla chuckled just as Regina finished putting the last flower in her hair. "Thank you, Regina. I know I can count on you."

"You were my friend, one of the few people that actually got close to me when I was in my darkest stage of my life, the least I can do is be here for you on the day that you've waited for the most." Regina told.

Camilla found herself rising to her feet and pulling Regina into a hug. "Thank you, Regina for everything."

"Don't ruin your makeup please," Regina said half-jokingly. "We have ten minutes to get you downstairs. Get your dress on, archer."

Camilla grinned and done just as that. Regina helped her with small parts that either stuck out or needed to be fixed. The one thing of which felt weird—aside from the dress, makeup and having her hair done—was the fact that she was wearing hills. She'd always wondered how Regina managed to wear hills all the time, her feet were already aching slightly.

She tried to shake her thoughts away as both Regina and herself walked out and headed towards where she was to be married. The closer that she got the more worried that she got as a whole. she knew that everything will be fine, she had Regina by her side and she would have Peter who wouldn't let anything bad happen no matter what. She took in a deep breath, knowing that she needed to rid her mind of those thoughts.

"Are you ready?" Regina asked.

Camilla found herself nodding. "Yes. I've waited for this for over thirty years, I am more than ready to call that man my husband."

She didn't need to look at Regina to know that there was a smile on her face. Though, that wasn't what Camilla was focusing on, she realised that Gold was waiting for her half a block away from where she was to be married. She watched as he came towards her and how Regina seemed to slip away.

"Jade." Gold greeted. "You look nice."

"Thanks," Camilla muttered. She didn't know what to do so she found herself just staring at Gold in hopes that it might get some answers. "What are you doing?"

"I thought that I might walk you down the aisle." Gold responded. That was the one thing that she forgot about as a whole. There was a part of her which forgot that Neal was dead otherwise there was a chance that she would have asked him, but the sudden pain that she felt remembering that he was dead hit her hard once more. She tried to breath, knowing that she wasn't going to have an emotional breakdown on her wedding.

"Right," Camilla said.

"Is that okay?" Gold asked.

He looked genuine, like he wanted to. It made Camilla pause for a moment, knowing that she had the ability to say no, but then there was this sudden pain in her heart of realising that if she said no then there was a chance that she wouldn't have any of her family with her for her day. And that was something that she wanted more than anything. She wanted her family here and even if it meant having Gold walk her down the aisle, then so be it.

Camilla slowly nodded. "Yeah, it's okay." She took his arm. "Regina's going to give the go ahead when it's time."

"I'm surprised on how quickly you two managed to get all of this planned out." Gold stated. "You're mother would be so proud of you."

Camilla found herself tensing up. The thought of her mother hadn't crossed her mind in so long—not that she hadn't forgotten that she existed but more of the fact that the thought of her caused her pain. "Why would you bring her up?" She choked out. She found it hard to breath and found that her eyes were stinging from the pain of holding back her tears.

"I'm sorry," Gold stuttered out. For a moment she was reminded of the coward he once was whenever he was confronted over something. "I just thought. . ." Regina signalled them for them to come.

Both herself and Gold began to walk and Camilla tried in her best interest to push everything down and focus on the fact that she was about to get married. As much as it hurt to think about the two people that she loved in her family the most not being here because of Gold, she needed to push the thoughts away knowing that it wouldn't do her any good. Focus on Peter.

As the pair of them turned into the aisle, she saw that the Lost Boys and some others of Storybrooke—including David and Hook—were on Peter's side. Regina, Emma, Henry, Devin and Baz and Finn, and others were on what would be her side. Archie was officiating the wedding for the pair of them. There were vines which made the archway with flowers attached to them, and the chairs which everyone sat on had daisy chains and tulips decorated either on the backs or running up the legs and between each chair.

There were multiple flowers grown which made the aisle which followed the pattern of red, purples, blues, and pinks. The closer that she got to the archway, the more she noticed Peter and the way that he stood. There was this look on his face that he sometimes got when he thought she wasn't looking, though it was one that she could never describe or pick up on. It made her shiver under the sight.

There was one thing which was clear to her, though, and it was that Peter looked good in a suit, the dark grey and the green was something that she hadn't thought would look as good as it did on him. For a moment, she thought that her heart might stop beating at any moment, she could tell that Peter hadn't allowed anyone to touch his hair knowing that the one thing that she loved about him was the fact that his hair was always a mess no matter what and that was what it was.

Gold and her paused near Peter and Peter held out his hand for Camilla to take which she did. Camilla found that she couldn't take her eyes off of Peter—which wasn't a surprise, but this was different, this was a Peter that looked so goddamn good that she felt lucky to have him.

"Jay. . ." he whispered in the same way that he normally did when she surprised him. Camilla noticed the grinning look which both Hook and David shared as if they knew something. Peter's eyes flicked up and down her body and she found herself blushing in some way.

"Shall we begin?" Archie asked.

The pair of them nodded overenthusiastically which made Archie smile. Archie began his ramble about why they were all gathered here and who they were celebrating, if Camilla had to be honest, she wasn't paying much attention given the fact that all her attention was on the fact that Peter looked so good and that she couldn't wait until she was alone with him.

Peter cleared his throat, and it was only then that Camilla realised that it was the vows, and that Peter was about to go first. "My Jade, you were someone that surprised me the most. When you dropped onto Neverland, all I saw was someone new to the island, someone who was scared and then the more that I got to know you, the more that I realised that I was in love with you. There was something about the way that you were so determined to prove yourself, but you never needed to prove yourself to me because I knew that you were something that I wanted. Five years you let me believe that I would have to bury everything that I felt and then you kissed me, and it changed everything. You are everything to me, Jade, I always wanted to be by your side and I don't want to leave anytime soon. I will always protect you, like how you've protected me with your love for so long."

Camilla opened her mouth as if to speak, but she found herself not knowing what to say. Normally if Peter had said something like this to her in private, she would have just kissed him and called it a day, but it was the fact that she found that she couldn't do anything like she was broken.

"Camilla," Archie prompted.

Camilla took in a deep breath. "Peter, you were someone who I thought was rather odd to begin with but as time went on, you showed time and time again that you were someone that cared, someone that would do anything and everything in order to protect me and our boys, you saved me from both myself and death itself, you quite literally brought me back from death. You showed me what it meant to be alive and loved unconditionally, I hope that it's something that I can show back. My love, you're everything that I wanted and more."

She wasn't sure what she said, all she wanted to do was ramble on how much she loved Peter, but she was still stunned about what Peter had to say to her. She could faintly hear something about how they should exchange rings which they did and then she found herself kissing Peter at last. All she wanted to do for so long was to kiss Peter, and she finally got to do that.

****

They'd gone to Granny's for the after party and if Camilla had to be honest, everything seemed to be a bit of a blur, she couldn't keep track of anything that happened. All she could focus on was the way that Peter smelled, the way that he touched her, the way that he felt when they kissed, the way that he would talk. Everything about him seemed intoxicating and Camilla was addicted to it. She hoped that this feeling never stopped, she hoped that she could feel this way all the time when it came to Peter.

The one thing which made her frown was the fact that she couldn't get ten minutes alone with Peter before someone would come to find them. She just needed sometime with Peter, she just wanted to be with him and process the idea that he's her husband and that there was nothing of which could rip them apart. All she could think about was the fact that she loved him in his suit and there was a part of her which wanted to ask how willing he was to wear suits more often.

At one point, she was sure that there was someone going around with a camera but Camilla couldn't be sure just as a whole, she wasn't paying much attention to anyone else. She'd been either too focused on Peter, Finn, or the many Lost Boys who decided to join the pair of them. They'd looked as if they were happy to be reunited with them which was something which made Camilla feel all warm and happy inside.

"Jade, Peter," Gold greeted with Belle by his side.

"Father," Camilla nodded. "Belle."

"I just wanted to say congratulations." Gold said as the pair of them slipped into the booth. There was a pouch on the table in front of them which Camilla looked at a little suspiciously. "And I wanted to give you these."

Gold slid the pouch across and Peter caught it, Camilla could feel that Peter was suspicious himself. He'd opened it and there were two sets of keys inside, Peter had given Camilla an odd look before turning it to Gold.

"What are they for?" Camilla asked.

"One's for a shop Adventure's Out There, it's a new building, a kind of club where children can sign up and explore where they're from back in the Enchanted Forest or other places that exist." Gold explained and Camilla felt the way that her heart dropped slightly. "And the second key is for a bigger house for the pair of you. Mifflin Street. Perfect if you decided to adopt anymore Lost Boys."

Camilla didn't want to believe what was going on, she didn't want to believe the fact that her father would be nice enough to her that he would willingly give her a new place to live and a shop to run. It felt like she was talking to someone posing as her father rather than the man who hurt her for so long. She couldn't understand what was going on just as a whole.

"Thank you," Peter managed to get out.

Camilla stuttered over her words, not sure what to say. She knew that she should thank him, and she was close to thanking him but it felt like a struggle to do such a thing. She was happy that he'd actually done something to help her but the thought that it was a house and a shop was something that she really hadn't expected.

Gold smiled. "Take care of my daughter, Peter. Don't abandon her." With that, Gold and Belle left though Belle gave them a quick 'congratulations' before joining Gold's side once more.

Camilla and Peter gave each other a confused look once more. Though it was a moment later that they found themselves laughing over it. Camilla leaned into Peter, the familiar feeling of his warmth was all that she needed more than anything.

This was what she'd waited for, for so long, a chance for them to be together like this. She finally could call him her husband, knowing that there was no one who could get between them. It didn't matter if it were heaven or hell, they'd always find a way back to each other.

"My husband." My love, my life, my soul, my everything.
