After everyone got the hang of riding their ilu's, Tsireya, Neyra and Rotxo had to teach them how to control their breathing, to be able to swim for longer periods of times and go deeper.

"Breathe in.." Tsireya instructed to the sully kids. "And breathe out." All three of them demonstrating how to control their breaths, "imagine a flickering flame." Neyra taught them while breathing out, it was peaceful to just relax and breathe sometimes, when other things get hectic.

"You must slow down your heartbeat." Both the girls told them, Neyra put her hands ontop of Lo'ak's heart and stomach, "breathe in," rari instructed while Lo'ak listened to her instructions and breathed out. " breathe from down here... Breathe slowly." She continued to show him, everyone else saw while Neyra was breathing in sinc with Lo'ak he opened his eyes and stared at her teaching him.

Neyra chuckled at him, "Lo'ak, your heartbeat is fast, try to focus." She told him "sorry, ok." He replied, then redoing all the steps and focusing to the sound of her voice directing him what to do. Out of Kiri's eye she saw Neteyam and Rotxo chuckling at the two's interactions, scolding the boys, giving them a look of "don't be morons", Tsireya agreeing with the intelligent girl, motioning for all of them to stop being so immature, especially because they are all older and should know better.

After learning how to breathe, they all went back into the water, riding their ilu's together through the coral reef. Swimming through tunnels, around reef pillars, through the coves, spinning around each other, above the reef and sea creatures. By the time they finally came up to breathe it was already sundown, a beautiful sunset filled with tones of orange, pink and yellow covering the sky,

"You are learning to breathe," Tsireya told them after everyone resurfaced,.

After all that Lo'ak tried to get a conversation going with neyra, even though just meeting her, he was already starting to really like the girl. "Hey, Neyra?" Lo'ak came up to her as they were all walking back to their huts. "Lo'ak, yes? Do you need help with anything, learning how to breathe underwater more?" She replied to him a little confused. "Yeah, actually, Would it be ok, if you could quickly keep teaching me the breathe technique?" He wondered to her, and she was happy to teach him, almost excited. Together they quietly left the group walking to the huts, without being noticed.

She took him to a little cove, with nothing but rocks and the water surrounding them, a little secluded spot, perfect to learn how to control one's breaths. They both had sat down, crossing their legs, Neyra sitting directly next to him, kneeling down, while placing one hand on his lower stomach.

"The way of water has no beginning and no end," she spoke to him, calmly he closed his eyes, and tried to slow his heartbeat down. He kept breathing slowly, remembering the steps from earlier on when they were with everyone else.

"That was good, your heartbeat slowed down and you breathed from your stomach, your improving already, now time to put it to use." She told him proudly a wide smile making its way onto her face, Lo'ak sharing a similar expression. Once Lo'ak had mastered the breathing technique it was time to put it to practice, Neyra making him find a shell she would throw into the water, all while practicing his breathing to be able to have more time down their.

Neyra grabbed a shell from the rocks and threw it far into the water, looking under briefly to know how far it was before she would het him try and find it. "The sea is around you, and in you" she told him before he sucked in one large breath, before submerging himself underwater, starting to find the shell, Neyra going underwater to see how well he does, and to make sure he's understanding the excersise and learning.

After a short time Lo'ak swam back up to the surface already seeing Neyra waiting for him. "I got it." He told her sounding like a little kid who just achieved his goal. "You did it," she chuckled happily for him, proud she was able to teach him how to be calm underwater. "That's good. You wanna go for another ride?" She asked him, hoping to spend a little more time with him, before the others start to question where they are and how long they've been together. "Yeah, that sounds fun." He replied before they both called for their ilu's.

"The sea is your home before your birth and after your death." She told him, just before they went down ne rode a little longer together on their ilu's. "Our hearts beat, in the way of the water, our breath burns in the shadows of the deep. The sea gives and the sea takes. Water connects all things, life to death. Darkness to light." She told him finishing the little poem about their ways and the water of their home.

A couple days later everyone was swimming further down underwater. Following the two metkayina girls they swam far down into the sea, where these flowy butterfly creatures swam. Neyra grabbed one of the butterfly creatures gently, and passed it to tuk, helping her bond with it, the same with kiri.

Ronal was there with them, collecting more ingredients for her special jars she makes. They all swam around the dark ocean reef with the butterfly creatures helping them breathe for way longer periods of time. Out of the corner of Neyra's eye she saw kiri directing a group of glow fish, wherever she motioned her hands to sway they copied her movements, which put a smile on both young girls faces, kiri feeling in place and rari proud and happy kiri feels connected to the sea. Ronal had noticed it to, finding it strange and interesting at the same time as to how to girl could possibly do that even after being born in the forest with her clan.

They were down there for some time just swimming around, watching kiri play with the glowy fish. Any of their troubles were way past them, in the back of their minds. The sea was a peaceful place, originally where the sully family went to get away from the sky people hunting them down.

I still feel like I'm missing so much information because this fic is not that long and the movie is a whole 2 hours long but I still feel like I'm almost at the end of it even now after editing it a bit, although all the forest scenes isn't in this fic, maybe that's why there's such different times.
