Wwwooowww what? I looked at the last chapter and 30 people read it in the 2 days since I published it! Yay me! I swear it was like 6 last time I checked. ┐(￣ヮ￣)┌

It was later that day. Alice and Yuki had wandered off, and I was sitting on a park bench with Calcifer hovering above me. "What's a fire extinguisher?" I asked him

"What? Uh, its a thing that stops fire." He said, taken back by my odd question.

"What's a fie-er...?" I said, stretching out the word.

"Whoa, you don't want to play with it. It can keep you warm when its cold, but it can kill trees and people if your not careful." He told me.

Kill people? "Oh! I don't like fire then." I said.

He laughed. We sat in silence for a few moments.

"Calcifer, do I have a home?" I asked.

He seemed sad. "Well, do you know what a home is?"

"Yes, the lady said it was where you had a bed, food, and parents who love you. I know what food is. What's a bed? And parents?" I questioned.

"Uuuhhhhh....." He looked at some flowers. "Thoses are nice flowers, huh?"

I looked at them. "Oh! Yes, they're very pretty!" I got off the bench and went to pet the flowers. I liked it when someone pet my wings, so the flowers must like it when I pet their petals.

I heard a cry. My head perked up. There was a child, alone, sitting not to far from me. I walked over to him. "Are you OK?" I asked sweetly.

He looked up at me through his teary eyes. "I can't find my mommy..." He sobbed. His.... Mommy? I looked to Calcifer for answer's.

"He can't find his parents. Uh, parents take care of you and love you. His must have lost him. They must be so scared there kid is missing!" Calcifer spoke.

I nodded. I took the little boys hand. Remembering what Yuki had first asked me I said, "what's your name sweetie?" In a kind voice.

The child sniffled. "Kenny... My names Kenny..." He said. He had stopped crying.

"Well, Kenny. Do you want me to help you find your mommy?" I asked him.

He looked at me with big hopefully eyes. "Really? Ya! Ya, I would!" His mood brightened immediately.

I stood up. "OK! Wait...." I said. Kenny stood beside me. "I have no idea, what your mommy looks like.... How will I find her?"

Kenny looked puzzled. "But your a big kid! You always know what to do, right?"

"No, not me. I don't know many things." I told him. We started to walk down the sidewalk in the park.

"Really? Do you know what a giraffe is?" He said.

I shook my head.

"Oh! Its like a dog, but with a neck seven times bigger than it should be! And reeeaaallyy long legs! They're taller than that tree!" He said exited.

"That big?! What's a dog?" I asked. Calcifer had disappeared.

"Wow, you realy don't know a lot of stuff...." Kenny said. He looked around. "Where's your mommy and daddy?"

"Mine? I don't have a mommy and daddy." I said.

He gasped. "So your an orphan!?"

"What's that?" I said before thinking.

"Wow! Now I have to be the big kid, and teach you stuff!" Kenny said, frazzled. "How old are you?"

"I don't know, um.... 14? Or maybe 12...." I figured. Yuki had said we were one of those numbers to Claire.

"Oh, well I'm 7!" He said proudly. "Do you remember being 7?" He asked.

"No, I don't remember anything except the facility."

"What's the facility? Ha! Now you have to answer a question!" He spoke triumphantly. His little chest puffed with pride.

"Well, you sleep in a pile of blankets on the floor, and you get shots. They make you fight and get really hurt, and then laugh. They make you wear heavy chains. But I didn't need chains, because I was good and did whatever that said. If you didn't obey, they would hurt you." I shivered. "Pain is bad..."

Kenny looked very surprised. "That's awful! And you didn't have a mommy or daddy to love you? That's so sad..." He said.

"Its ok." I assured him "I'm never going back, Yuki promised!" I said.

"Yuki?" He spoke.

"Yuki, Alice, and Calcifer! The help me, and.... Oh! Yeah, they love me!" I told Kenny. He seemed better.

"Oh, good. Hey... What's your name? You didn't tell me."

I guess I didn't! "I didn't? Its Angel. My name is Ange-" I tripped. I tripped on the curb of the street. And fell. I face planted on the road. I heard Kenny scream. I pushed myself up and looked to my right to see a car speeding towards me.
