Alice's POV.

"So, so your orphans... You ran from the police.... And your friend got hit by a car, so you broke into my house to save her because you can't go to a hospital without getting arrested?" The lady said. Her name was Jenifer. Yuki wanted to call her Jen.

"Yesss.... That's about it.... So, can she stay for a while?" Yuki asked. We wanted angel to stay here until she was better. We could wait outside and just watch her until she could leave. And angel would have Calcifer, So... She'd be fine. Jen agreed to let Angel stay.

Yuki and I took a walk. There wasn't much else to do, but walk. It was getting old... "Alicccee.... I'm bored." Yuki grumbled. She looked at me, and studied my face.

"What are you doing...." I said.

"Is your face stuck in a permanent depressed scowl?" She asked.

"No." I answered.

"Then are you mad at something?"

"Yes."

"What?"

"None of your business."

"Come on! Tell meeeeee!!" Yuki grabbed my shoulder and shook me slightly. I pushed her away. She pouted, and pushed me back. We had a shoving match in the middle of a sidewalk on a busy street.

Yuki pushed me a little to hard, and I fell on the road just as a car was coming. I quickly adjusted my position so that car flew over me peacefully. When it had gone, I sat up and glared at Yuki.

"If you want to kill me your gonna have to do better than that." I said, as I stood up and went back to stand beside her. She looked worried for a moment, but then wore a triumphant smile.

"So! I won then?" She asked backing away slowly. I swiped a hand at her face but she doged it splendidly. I charged her and she took off. No matter how fast I ran, she was always out of reach!! It was so frustrating!! I tripped on something and just barely managed to grab her leg as I fell. I pulled her down. She screached.

"I will not be beaten by a stupid dog!!!" I shouted at her as I clawed my way towards her face despite her struggles.

"Well I won't be beaten by a souless brat!!!" She yelled back, and flipped us over. Now she was on top of me, Smiling evily. I grabbed her neck and she grabbed mine. We rolled around choking each other, until I saw my backpack had come off. it was in the snow not to far from us, but my scarf was being blown away. I accidentally loosened my grip on Yuki's neck.

She followed my gaze and jumped off me. She caught the scarf just before the wind blew it out of reach. She landed neatly back down on the ground, and picked up my small back pack to. Hers had somehow stayed on through out little tussle.

She tossed them back to me and helped me stand up. "I don't know why a blood covered scarf is so important, but you seem to really like it." She said, awkwardly shoving her hands in her pockets.

I hugged the scarf. "Its none of your business..... Thanks..." I mumbled.

Yuki poked me warily. I looked at her. "What now-" we were surrounded by a group of people. My eyes widened.

"Um.... Let's, let's go now...." Yuki said to me. She turned to the group. "Look! We're not fighting anymore! We made up! Yay. Let us through." She said as she hugged me. I made a growl of annoyance as she wrapped her arms around me.

"You didn't finish! Who won?" A boy asked.

"Who won? I did of course!" Yuki stated.

"Don't make her ego bigger than it already is, there isn't much spacd left in her brain." I told the boy who asked.

"Hey!" Yuki said.

"You pushed me in front of a car going 30 miles pet hour." I told her.

She looked away. "Well, that was an accident.... If I'd ment to do that I would have chosen a bigger car to push you under."

"That's not very reassuring. And wouldn't a smaller car be better? I could easily dodge a big one." I said.

Yuki considered this. "Yes, that would be better...."

"Are you seriously giving her tips on how to kill you?" The boy asked. Yuki punched him in the stomach. "OW!! What was that for!?!" He said in pain.

Yuki looked at him amused "well, you wouldn't move. And you, sir, just got punched by a girl." Yuki blew a raspberry at him and bounded away laughing. I put my hand to my face, annoyed at her childishness. I walked after her, leaving the crowd.

"Yuki, that was very childish." I told her.

She punched my arm softly. "Come on! This is my first month outside in years! Of course I'm gonna act like an immature child! I certainly couldn't when I was wrapped in chains and locked in a white room all day!" She said.

This 'facility' she, Angel, and Calcifer kept talking about sounded a lot like the grey place. Uhg. I don't like thinking about the grey place. Its better to forget all that. For get them, forget him. But, I can't forget him... I can't even throw away his blood stained scarf. I stroked it tenderly.

Yuki gave me an odd glance "do you feel like sharing what the scarfs about yet?" She asked. I shook my head and stuffed it back in my backpack. Yuki shrugged. As we turned a corner, someone rammed into Yuki. She was knocked backwards.

The guy who ran into her stood up immediately "I am so sorry!! Are you ok?!" When he fell he felt Yuki's pockets. He was trying to mug her. Yuki didn't respond. Her face screwed up in pain and she took quick shallow breaths. She moved her hands to the sides of her head and whimpered.

"Yuki...?" I asked. She suddenly shot up with a surprised look on her face. She jumped up and grabbed my hands.

"ALICE!! I think I just got one of my memories back!! Either that or I had a very real looking hallucination!! Quick let me tell you before I forget it again!!" She sped away pulling me with her. The guy who tried to mug her looked really stupid watching us run away.

Yuki led me to an ally way and told her short story. "Ok, so I'm running. Its dark, but the sky is filled with stars. But they don't look like stars and it feels like morning! So I'm running, and this boys behind me. He has the ears to! Except his are a bit more floppy. I'm runing, but I trip and fall into this, this hole or something. The boy screamed 'he meh saw ma wait!' And then it all goes black.

Yuki looked at me and smiled. "I'm getting my m memories back Alice! If I can, so can you and Angel!" She chirped.

Me? Oh, Yuki... I didn't lose my memories. I remember everything. Everything since the day I was created. Everything.... But Yuki dear, some things are better left forgotten. I hope the memories you regain are only ones that bring you joy.

I gave a fake smile and said "I hope so Yuki."

Ok, what is that gesture called? When you stick your tounge out and make it vibrate. Blowing a raspberry? ಠ_ಠ That just sounds wrong.... Is there a better way to phrase it? I'm not sure how.... And I drew Alice. Her bloodstained scarf is behind her, because she took it off for a moment.
