Alexander
"So where are we gonna sleep?" Yuki asked. Some time had passed, and we were outside the house angel was in. We were so stalkerlishis.
"How about different places. One girl would be able to hide or escape from places more easily then two." I replied.
She nodded. "Then, see you later! I call that little ally place outside Jens window. *blows raspberry* don't be worried if you don't see me until Angel's better! I am a master of stelllllth!" She skipped off to the area she mentioned.
I sighed. It was beginning to snow again. I liked the snow, it was so soft and gental, just like him. But he was dead, so no matter. Better not to think of anything from before. I wouldn't want to shut down like that again. When I sleep, its like turning your phone off. When I shut down, it's like turning your phone all the way off. It takes a while to turn back on.
I sat on a park bench. The snow continued to fall. I saw two people walking together. They looked like an older brother and younger sister. I didn't need to turn my heater up, because Angel wasn't here. And it would look weird if I sat here and had no snow on me. The girl across the street hugged her brother tightly.
I stuck my hand in my backpack and felt my scarf. It was so cold. I couldn't feel heat. Not realy. My metallic body couldn't comprehend such feelings. On the outside it looked and felt real enough, like human skin. But inside, it was wires and cables and gears fruitlessly spinning towards ultimately becoming trash.
I was alive, but not. I had no heart, no soul. And not the capacity to love. At least not anymore. Not since that day.... I felt myself begin to turn off. Sleep, if you will. I looked up and watched the snow fall. The moon wasn't full, but still gave of some light.
My eyes glowed sometimes. I think it had somthing to do with my life force, this strange glowing blue liquid. coincidentally, it was the same blue of Angel's and Yuki's eyes. I couldn't control when they glowed, they just sometimes did. The snow looked blue. The light from my eyes reflected off it. A stray dog walked by, and growled at me. I looked at him and he cowered away. Animals didn't like the glow my eyes did, I wonder why.
I looked up at the sky. It snowed still, but the moon showed through a patch of clowds. I closed my eyes, and turned off. I set myself to wake up at 8 the next morning. Whatever happened, I would not wake up until 8. Even if I was stabbed or caught on fire. This wasn't always a good thing. Turning off initiating...... 3..... 2..... 1..... Bbeeooopppp....
Waking up..... 3.... 2.... 1.... Woken up. I opened my eyes. I was in, in a small room. I sat up straight immediately. What? How did get here? I was in an ambulance. The driver hadn't seen me wake up. There was someone next to me, But they had fallen asleep. I quietly got out of the ambulance bed. The driver stopped at a stoplight. I opened the back doors and ran out. I heard the driver yelling and the sleeping person woke up. I dashed away down the street. It looked like I lost them.
I felt for my scarf in my back pack. It wasn't there. It wasn't there. It wasn't there!!!!! If I could've, I would've had a heart attack. I had to get back to that ambulance. I will not lose the last thing left of him I didn't even save his body, I had to save his scarf. I went back. I saw the driver still looking for me. I swore under my breath.
I crawled, So no one saw me. I crawled under the stopped cars to get to the ambulance car. It turns out they were stopped because of an accident on the road, not a stoplight. Oh well. I went into the car. No one was there. I looked for my scarf. I couldn't find it! I felt so lost. I couldn't lose it.... I just couldn't.... I feel a drop of water run down my cheek.
Seeking a weakness known as love, Spilling water known as tears. Ha, I didn't know I could cry. Something made a noise. I turned and saw the sleeping guy had woken up. He looked just like.... Him... The sleeping guy looked like him..... So much like him... Coincidence. Must be. Nothing more.
"Hey, what's wrong? Why did you run out?! We're trying to help..." He said. Oh god, he had the same voice to. Coincidence!!! Coincidence!! Must be a coincidence!!!! I wiped away my tear and gave him a dear glare. He picked something up. "Is this yours? Its got stains on it, you a should wash it with bleach."
he held up my scarf. I'm sure my eyes went from the 'I hate you get out of my sight' look to the 'happiest most innocent child thank you I love you' look. I snatched it from him and hugged it tightly.
"wow! ok, um... so you need to go to the hospital..." he said.
"why." I snapped.
he seemed taken aback at my response. "uh, because I found you lying on a park bench frozen to death at 7:30 in the morning..." he answered.
"I'm was fine." I said.
"no, you weren't. and I knew you had been there at least 5 hours because I saw you on that bench last night when I was taking my sister shopping." he stated. So that was him.
"well, I'm fine now." I said.
he looked skeptical. "alright, so do you need a ride home...?"
"I'm an orphan." I said.
"wait, what?"
"Yep."
"Um, why aren't you in an orphanage?"
"Because I hate people."
"So you live on the streets?"
"Yes."
"Ok then.... you want to stay at my place for a while? I'm sure my parents wouldn't mind, they love foster children."
"Creep."
"What?! No! I-"
"Creep."
"That's, that's wrong. I'm 17, I don't live alone. Both my parents and my sister are there! Come on!"
"If it gets you to shut up fine." I mumbled. He smiled.
"Great! I'm Alexander!" He said. What?! He had the same face, voice and name?! This was starting to look led like a coincidence....
"I'm..... Alice." I said.
"Nice name!" Alex said. He held my hand and led me to what I assumed would turb out to be his house. His hand felt..... Warm.
I thought to myself. Even in my cold unfeeling body with no blood flowing through, I somehow felt the warmth exuding from you... I had to get close enough to smell his hair. If this Alex smelled like metallicness and dust, then he would be almost just like him. My alex
