Chapter 38

The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm, golden glow over the sandy shores of the beach. It was a perfect day, the kind that beckoned for outdoor adventures and family outings.

In your arms, Gia and Kian, now around nine months old, wriggled with excitement. Their wide, curious eyes took in the world around them as they babbled happily. They were bundles of joy, and you and Goku couldn't be happier to have them in your lives.

Ahead of you, Goten raced towards the water's edge, his laughter carrying on the sea breeze, he was a bundle of energy, always eager for adventure. You exchanged a knowing glance with Goku; your teenage son had inherited his father's zest for life.

Goku grinned and ruffled Goten's hair as he reached him. "You're fast, Goten!"

Goten beamed up at his father. "Race you to the big rock, Dad!"

As you set up a beach umbrella and spread out a large blanket, Goku chased Goten around in playful banter. Goten, now a teenager, still had boundless energy, and he loved these family trips to the beach.

"Come on, Dad! Catch me if you can!" Goten called out, his laughter carried away by the sea breeze.

Goku grinned and sprinted after his son, their playful chase leading them closer to the shoreline. You couldn't help but smile as you watched the two of them. Despite all the challenges you had faced, moments like these made it all worth it.

Gia and Kian, nestled in a comfortable stroller under the shade of the umbrella, watched their father and older brother with wide, curious eyes. They were growing so quickly, and every day seemed to bring new discoveries.

"Alright, you two," you cooed, bending down to look at your twins. "Are you ready to see the ocean for the first time?"

Gia, with her tuft of dark hair and bright eyes, gurgled in response, her tiny hands reaching out toward the glistening water.

Kian, his eyes a shade lighter than his sister's, gave a happy, toothless grin, his baby babble filling the air.

You chuckled at their enthusiasm. "I'll take that as a yes."

With the stroller securely in place, you began to wheel them closer to the water's edge. Goku and Goten, sensing your intentions, rejoined you, their excitement mirrored in their expressions.

You leaned down to gently cradle Gia in your arms. Her eyes were so much like Goku's, and were filled with wonder as she gazed out at the ocean. Kian, in the stroller next to her, cooed happily, his tiny hands waving in the air.

"Look, Gia and Kian," you whispered, "This is the ocean. It's vast and beautiful, just like the world you'll grow up in."

Gia made a soft gurgling sound, her fingers reaching out as if trying to touch the waves in the distance. You couldn't help but smile at her curiosity.

Their eyes widened with curiosity as they stared at the vast expanse of water before them. You gently set them down on the sand, their little feet sinking into the cool grains. They wiggled their toes, giggling as they felt the sensation for the first time.

Goku joined you, crouching down to scoop up a handful of wet sand. "Watch this, you two!"

With a playful grin, he shaped the sand into a small ball and held it out to them. Gia and Kian stared at it with fascination, their tiny hands reaching out to touch the soft mound. Kian, always the bolder of the two, tried to grab it, but it crumbled in his grip, leaving him in fits of giggles.

Gia, ever the observant one, examined the sand more carefully. She picked up a handful and let it trickle through her fingers, her eyes alight with wonder, A gentle wave washed up, the foamy edge tickling the twins' tiny feet. Gia let out a delighted squeal, her chubby toes wriggling in the sand.

"They seem to like it," Goku observed, his eyes never leaving the twins.

You nodded, feeling a surge of happiness. "I think they do, Goku."

Goku and you exchanged proud smiles as you watched your children's first encounter with the beach. It was moments like these that made all the battles and challenges you had faced worth it. The simple joys of life, the beauty of discovery—it was a reminder of what you fought to protect.

With the ocean as their backdrop, you and Goku decided to set up a small play area for the twins. Goten eagerly helped, showing them how to build sandcastles and creating amusing shapes in the sand.

Gia and Kian, though too young to understand the intricacies of sandcastle construction, watched with rapt attention. Their eyes sparkled with curiosity as they observed their older brother's every move.

The sun climbed higher in the sky, casting its warmth over your little beach haven. Time seemed to stand still as you enjoyed the simple pleasures of the day—sand between your toes, the soothing sound of the waves, and the laughter of your family.

Goku held Gia in his arms, gently bouncing her as he stared out at the horizon. Goten had drifted off to explore the tide pools, leaving the two of you to enjoy this quiet moment.

Gia, in her father's arms, seemed content. Her little hands reached out to grasp at the air, her eyes bright and curious. Kian, nestled in your arms, was not far behind in the exploration department, his eyes wide as he took in the sights and sounds around him.

Gia and Kian were content in your laps, their tiny hands occasionally reaching out to touch the sand or grasp at a passing seagull. The twins were growing so quickly, and every moment spent with them was a treasure.

You joined Goku, leaning against him as you both watched your twins with love and pride. "Gia and Kian are growing so quickly."

Goku nodded, a gentle smile on his face. "Yeah, they are. And you know what's amazing? They've been watching everything, learning from all of us."

Just as Goku spoke, Gia's eyes twinkled, and she let out a delightful sound that was more than just baby babble. She clearly intended to communicate something. Both you and Goku turned your attention to her.

"What is it, sweetie?" you cooed, leaning down to look at her.

With a burst of excitement, Gia's tiny voice rang out, and she uttered her first word, a name that brought joy to all of you. "Dada."

Goku's eyes widened, his heart swelling with emotion. "Did she just...?"

You nodded, tears of happiness filling your eyes. "Yes, Goku. Gia just said her first word, and it's 'Dada.'"

Goku's smile was radiant as he held his daughter close, his heart brimming with love. "That's amazing, Gia. Daddy loves you."

Goku was practically beaming as he held Gia close, repeating the word "Dada" as if to encourage her. Gia, in response, giggled and babbled happily, clearly pleased with herself for making her father so happy.

But even as you celebrated this milestone, a hint of sadness tugged at your heart. "Dada" was an important word, and you were thrilled that Gia had said it. Still, you couldn't help but wish for another word, a word that would make you feel just as cherished.

Goku, ever attuned to your emotions, noticed the change in your expression. "What's wrong, Y/N?"

You sighed softly, cuddling Kian, who was still contentedly watching the waves. "It's just... I was hoping one of them would say 'Mama' first."

Goku's face softened with understanding, and he leaned over to kiss your cheek. "I'm sure they'll say it soon. Besides, 'Dada' is just the beginning."

You appreciated his reassurance, but a part of you couldn't shake the longing to hear the word "Mama" from your children.

Goku, ever determined, turned his attention back to Gia. "Okay, Gia, let's try something else. Can you say 'Mama'?"

Gia blinked up at him with wide, innocent eyes, her tiny brows furrowed as if she were considering the request. Then, with a charmingly mischievous grin, she babbled, "Dada!"

Goku let out a hearty laugh, unable to contain his amusement. "Well, she's a determined one, isn't she?"

You chuckled too, your heart lightened by Goku's infectious laughter. "She sure is."

After lunch, you decided to introduce the twins to the ocean itself. You carried Gia, while Goku held Kian. You walked hand in hand towards the gently rolling waves, the twins gazing at the water with a mixture of curiosity and trepidation.

Gia's eyes grew wide as the first wave lapped at her tiny feet, causing her to let out a surprised squeal. Kian, on the other hand, stared at the advancing water with a furrowed brow, as if trying to decipher the mysterious force before him.

With gentle smiles, you and Goku waded into the shallows, the twins in your arms. The water was refreshingly cool, and the twins seemed to adjust quickly to the sensation. Gia giggled as the waves splashed around her, while Kian's initial uncertainty gave way to fascination.

"Look, Kian, it's the ocean," Goku said, his voice soft and filled with fatherly pride.

You echoed his words to Gia, the twins' attention divided between the vast expanse of the sea and their loving parents.

It was then that it happened, a moment you hadn't expected so soon. Kian, still in Goku's arms, turned his head towards the ocean and let out a delighted, "Dada!"

Goku's face lit up with joy, his eyes sparkling with pride. "That's right, Kian! Dada!"

Your heart swelled with happiness for Goku as he cradled Kian closer, showering him with affection. But a pang of sadness tugged at your heart. "What about me?" you couldn't help but wonder.

As if sensing your emotions, Goku glanced at you with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, Y/N. They'll say 'Mama' soon enough."

Determined not to be outdone, Goku made a game out of trying to get the twins to say "Mama." He repeated the word over and over, his voice playful and encouraging. Kian, in particular, seemed to enjoy the game, his baby laughter filling the air.

But despite Goku's efforts, it was Gia who surprised everyone. As if to stake her claim in the family's affections, she gurgled happily and, with a twinkle in her eye, babbled, "Mama!"

Your heart soared with joy, tears of happiness welling up in your eyes. "Oh, Gia, you said it! 'Mama!'"

Goku's jaw dropped in mock surprise, and he looked at his daughter with a playful pout. "Hey, I was trying to get you to say that!"

You shared a laugh with Goku, your heart feeling lighter than ever. It didn't matter who the twins said it to first; what mattered was the love that surrounded your family. Gia and Kian had brought even more warmth and happiness into your lives, and you cherished every moment together.

As a family, you stood there in the embrace of the ocean, the twins' first words a testament to the beauty of the moment. It was a day of simple pleasures, of laughter, and of love—a day at the beach that would forever be etched in your hearts as a cherished memory.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm, golden hue across the beach, you couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Gratitude for your loving family, for the simple joys of life, and for the enduring bond you all shared.

The day at the beach had been more than just a day of relaxation and fun; it had been a day of milestones and firsts, a day that had etched memories into your hearts that would last a lifetime.

With your family around you, the gentle ocean breeze, and the twins' laughter filling the air, you realized that life was perfect just as it was. And so, you continued to wade into the ocean, cherishing every precious moment with your beloved family by your side.

I think I'm going to write a few more chapters, giving different scenarios as life plays out for them, The main story has come to an end though, leave a comment if you want me to write different scenarios, An example of one I want to write is when Gia is older and decides to bring her first boyfriend home to meet the family or another one I want to write is a family camping trip.

Thank you to everyone who has read this book, I plan to write another story after this one, but I'm not entirely sure what or who it would be about, but I'm open to suggestions->
