Chapter 32
(Short filler)
As the days went by, the joy and chaos of having twins, Gia and Kian became an integral part of your daily routine. Your home was filled with laughter, baby coos, and the delightful sounds of new life. However, it didn't take long for you and Goku to realize that you needed more space to accommodate your growing family.
One sunny morning, as you were tending to the twins, Goku burst through the door with a wide grin on his face. "Y/n, I've got a fantastic idea!"
You looked up, your curiosity piqued. "What is it, Goku?"
Goku's eyes gleamed with excitement. "I was thinking that we should expand our home to make more room for the kids!"
You blinked, surprised by his sudden enthusiasm. "Expand our home?"
Goku nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! We'll build extra rooms for the kids, so they have more space to play and grow."
A smile tugged at the corners of your lips as you looked around the cozy home. "That's a wonderful idea, Goku. But, uh, did you forget to do that while I was pregnant with the twins?"
Goku scratched his head sheepishly, a lighthearted chuckle escaping him. "Oops, yeah, I might've been a bit distracted during that time."
You chuckled, shaking your head affectionately. "Well, it's a great idea now. But building onto the house will be a big task."
Goku's grin remained unwavering. "Don't worry, I've got a plan. I'll ask Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin for help. We'll have extra rooms in no time!"
Over the next few days, Goku put his plan into action. He enlisted the help of Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin, who were more than willing to lend a hand. The group gathered in your yard, ready to start the construction process.
Piccolo's stern expression softened as he looked at Goku. "This is a good idea, Goku. But it's going to take some work."
Goku chuckled, his determination evident. "I know, but it'll be worth it."
------
As the sun shone down on the worksite, Piccolo leaned against a stack of lumber, his arms crossed. "You know, Goku, it's not every day you decide to add rooms to your house on a whim."
Goku grinned, wiping sweat from his brow. "Yeah, I might've been a bit spontaneous with this idea."
Gohan chuckled, his gaze shifting between his father and Piccolo. "Well, at least it keeps things interesting."
Krillin, who was hammering nails into a wooden frame, chimed in with a grin. "And it's not like we're not used to your crazy ideas, Goku."
Goku laughed heartily, his energy contagious. "You've got a point, Krillin."
-------
Goku couldn't help but chuckle, a bead of sweat trickling down his brow. "You know, guys, I thought building rooms would be like training. Just use your ki, and it's done!"
Piccolo rolled his eyes with a sigh. "Goku, it's construction, not a martial arts move. You can't just power up and expect walls to magically appear."
Gohan, who had inherited both his father's humor and Piccolo's practicality, chimed in with a chuckle. "I have to admit, Dad, your construction technique could use some improvement."
Krillin, the voice of reason in this motley crew, nodded in agreement. "Yeah, Goku, you might want to leave the building to the professionals."
Goku scratched his head, grinning. "Well, at least we're getting a workout. And Y/n said I should try more 'hands-on' parenting."
Piccolo raised an eyebrow, his sarcasm as sharp as ever. "I don't think she meant it quite like this."
Gohan leaned on a shovel, laughing. "Hey, at least we're getting the job done, right?"
Krillin, who had become something of a handyman in his own right, joined in the jesting. "True, and we're saving on construction costs!"
Goku nodded enthusiastically "Exactly! Plus, it's a good bonding experience."
Piccolo smirked, his arms crossed. "Yeah, nothing says 'bonding' like hammering nails into drywall."
Gohan added, "And lifting heavy beams."
Krillin, rubbing his sore back, chimed in, "Don't forget crawling into tight spaces."
Goku laughed heartily, taking it all in stride. "See, we're having a blast!"
Piccolo shook his head, the corner of his mouth quirking up ever so slightly. "Goku, your definition of 'blast' is unique."
---
As they continued to work, Krillin glanced over at Gohan. "Speaking of family, how's Videl and Pan?"
Gohan's face lit up with affection. "They're doing great. Pan's growing so fast, and Videl's the best mom."
Piccolo's usually stern expression softened ever so slightly. "It's good to see you embracing your role as a father."
Gohan nodded, a warm smile gracing his lips. "Yeah, it's a challenge, but I wouldn't trade it for anything."
Krillin glanced at Goku, a knowing smile on his face. "And speaking of family, how's Y/n and the twins, Goku?"
Goku's expression brightened as he spoke about you and the twins. "They're doing amazing. Y/n's an incredible mom, and Gia and Kian are growing stronger every day."
Piccolo's gaze shifted to Goku, a hint of wisdom in his words. "This family means a lot to you, doesn't it?"
Goku nodded, his voice filled with sincerity. "Yeah, more than anything."
Krillin chuckled, his tone playful. "Well, let's just hope Y/n doesn't decide to spontaneously add more rooms when we're not looking."
While the guys were working you and Bulma set out on a shopping adventure. The plan was simple: find the perfect furniture to complete the newly expanded rooms in your home while the men tackled the construction work. With a list in hand and excitement in your hearts, you ventured into the bustling city.
The furniture store was a treasure trove of possibilities, each aisle offering a myriad of options. Bulma's eyes gleamed with excitement as she perused the selection, her expert eye immediately honing in on stylish pieces. "Alright, Y/n, first stop – nursery furniture."
You followed Bulma's lead, your own eyes widening at the array of cribs, changing tables, and adorable decor. As you both browsed, Bulma's voice held a note of enthusiasm. "So, have you thought about the theme for the rooms?"
You nodded, a smile playing on your lips. "For Gia's room, I was thinking something nature-inspired, with soft colors and animal motifs. And for Kian's room, maybe a space-themed decor?"
Bulma grinned in approval. "Great choices. Let's start with the cribs then."
As you considered different cribs, Bulma's knack for design became evident as she pointed out the practical and aesthetic features of each one. After some deliberation, you settled on a pair of cribs that perfectly captured the themes you had in mind.
-----------
Goten's laughter echoed from the next room as you and Goku teamed up to put the finishing touches on the rooms for your twins The sound of gentle chatter and the occasional clink of decorations filled the air, mingling with the excitement that buzzed between you and the others, Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan were all there to help finish the set up.
Piccolo, with his usual calm demeanor, was placing a mobile above one of the cribs, while Krillin and Gohan playfully debated the placement of a row of stuffed animals on a shelf. Goku, his energy boundless, was meticulously arranging the curtains to let in just the right amount of light.
You glanced at the room taking shape around you, a sense of contentment warming your heart. "You know, I can't believe we're already at this point. Decorating the twins' rooms feels like a big step."
Goku flashed you a grin, his eyes sparkling with joy. "Yeah, it's like we're preparing a whole new adventure for them. Just wait till they're old enough to appreciate all this."
Krillin chuckled, nudging Goku with an elbow. "You think they'll appreciate the curtains as much as you do?"
Goku scratched his head sheepishly, his smile widening. "Well, maybe not the curtains, but they'll definitely love these plushies!"
As you and Piccolo hung up some artwork on the walls, Gohan's voice chimed in. "Goten's doing an awesome job keeping them entertained in there."
You chuckled, picturing the scene. "Oh, I'm sure he's putting on quite a show."
Piccolo stepped back to admire his handiwork, a hint of pride in his usually stoic expression. "It's good that they have such a close-knit family to welcome them."
With a final adjustment, the room seemed to come alive with warmth and personality. Krillin stepped back, looking pleased. "I think we did a great job here."
Gohan nodded in agreement. "Yeah, Kian and Gia are lucky to have such awesome rooms."
Just then, Goten walked in, a big grin on his face. "Hey, guys! The twins were totally into my Super Goten stories. I even did some funny faces, and they laughed!"
Goku laughed, giving Goten a playful nudge. "See, I told you they'd love you."
Goten's chest puffed out proudly. "Of course they do. I'm the best big brother in the world!"
You tousled Goten's hair affectionately. "You sure are, Goten. And we're lucky to have you."
As the afternoon sun bathed the rooms in a warm glow, you all stood back, admiring the result of your efforts. The rooms were more than just decorations – they were spaces filled with love, anticipation, and a whole lot of happiness.
Goku wrapped an arm around your waist, his gaze sweeping over the room. "Our family's grown so much, and it's all thanks to our friends and the amazing people around us."
Krillin chimed in, a grin on his face. "Well, you guys are family to us too."
Piccolo's nod was a quiet affirmation of his agreement.
