Chapter 27

(I'm debating doing a baseball chapter, should I? let me know ---> )

Inside Capsule Corp you were standing with Bulma watching the door, it had been about 5-10 minutes that they had been gone when Goku came into the room with a smile on his face.

He walked over to you and place a gentle but passionate kiss on your lips.

"What was that for? Is everything okay?" you asked when the kiss broke

"I just wanted to kiss you" he smiled "and Vegeta wants to talk to you outside" he kissed your forehead and gently pushed you toward the door

You gave him a skeptical look then made your way outside, it didn't take long as you knew your way around Capsule Corp pretty well, if you hadn't all the time you had with the past year here you'd be going in circles looking for the exit.

"Y/n" you heard Vegeta speak as you stepped outside, you turned your head to the voice and spotted him sitting against the building

"Hey..." you said as you sat down next to him "what's going on and if you say nothing I'm going to blast you"

"Haha like your blast could do anything to me"

You sent him a hard glare

"Sorry I uh I just have worries about the babies and you" He started finding it hard to speak freely when it came to emotions

"Like what ?" You asked

"Did I ever tell you how Mother died?"

"No, but I haven't asked either, you don't have to tell me if it's hard to talk about"

"Tsk She was a wonderful woman, she was the only one who showed me any compassion or kindness on that planet, except for maybe Nappa but he's not important. When she got pregnant with you she was bedridden most of the time and any time I saw her she looked ill"

He looked to you to see if maybe he shouldn't have stuck with the shortest version of the story but to his surprise, you were engulfed in what he was saying and gave him a smile to encourage him to continue.

"On the day of your birth she ended up losing a lot of blood and ... died" he took a deep breathe "The last time I talked to her she told me that she had great plans for us, but when she died Father got so angry he couldn't stand the sight of you" Vegeta clenched his fists "and honestly y/n I can't stand the thought of that happening to you"

You leaned in closer, your concern evident in your eyes. "Vegeta, I had no idea... That must have been incredibly difficult for you, losing our mother and dealing with Father's anger."

He nodded, a mixture of pain and frustration on his face. "It changed everything. After she was gone, I felt like I had to shut off my emotions, be stronger, be someone Father would accept. And now, with you expecting, I can't help but worry about the same things happening all over again."

You reached out and gently placed a hand on his arm. "I can understand why you're feeling this way. But you're not alone in this, Vegeta. We're family, and we're here for each other. You don't have to bear everything on your own."

He looked at you, his gaze softening as he seemed to take comfort in your words. "You're right... I've spent so long trying to be the strongest, to not need anyone. But I see how wrong I've been. I don't want history to repeat itself."

"We can make our own path," you assured him, giving his arm a reassuring squeeze. "I believe in you, Vegeta. You've already come so far, and you're capable of breaking the cycle."

A moment of silence passed between you two, the weight of his emotions hanging in the air. Then he let out a sigh, almost as if he was letting go of something he had held onto for too long. "Thank you, Y/n. It's not easy for me to talk about this, but... I'm glad I could share it with you."

You smiled warmly. "I'm glad you trust me enough to open up. We're siblings, after all. We're in this together, no matter what."

He finally managed a small smile, the tension in his shoulders easing slightly. "Yeah, you're right. I'm lucky to have you as my sister."

"And I'm lucky to have you as my brother," you replied, giving his arm another gentle squeeze. "We'll face whatever challenges come our way, just like we always have even before we fond each other"

As you sat together, the bond between you two grew stronger, and you knew that no matter what life threw at you, you had each other's backs.

---------

A month had past and Today, Bulma had thrown you a Baby shower. At first, you tried to explain that she couldn't shower the babies, but after you helped her stand up, she explained that it's basically a party where people get you gifts for the baby.

The event had turned out to be quite the gathering. The Capsule Corporation was bustling with familiar faces from various parts of your life – friends, fellow Z Fighters, and even some intergalactic allies. Colorful decorations adorned the place, and a large banner with the words "Welcome Baby Twins!" hung prominently on the wall.

You stood at the center of the room, surrounded by the joyful chatter of your loved ones. Goku and Vegeta were there too, each seemingly out of their element in their own way. Goku had a wide grin on his face, eagerly mingling with the guests and showing off his infectious enthusiasm. Vegeta, on the other hand, was trying his best to remain composed, though you caught him glancing around occasionally with a mixture of curiosity and slight bewilderment.

Bulma, the mastermind behind the celebration, approached you with a mischievous smile. "Y/n, dear, I hope you're enjoying yourself."

You couldn't help but chuckle. "I am, Bulma. Thank you for doing all of this."

She waved off your gratitude. "Oh, it's nothing. I just wanted to make sure you and the little ones feel special."

As the afternoon wore on, games were played, stories were shared, and you were showered with adorable baby gifts. The excitement in the air was palpable, and you felt a deep sense of appreciation for the community that had formed around you and your growing family.

Just then, Gohan and Goten, your and Goku's sons, entered the room. Gohan's mature and kind presence was immediately felt, while Goten's youthful energy lit up the space.

Gohan walked up to you with a gentle smile, his warm eyes filled with genuine excitement. "Hey, Y/n, congratulations on the twins!"

You hugged him warmly, feeling a sense of comfort in his presence. "Thank you, Gohan. I'm so glad you could make it."

Goten, bouncing on his toes, looked up at you with a bright grin. "Are you excited, Y/n? I can't wait to have new friends to play with!"

You chuckled at his enthusiasm. "I'm excited, Goten, and I'm sure the babies will be thrilled to have you as their big brother."

As the celebration continued, Gohan and Goten joined in the festivities, sharing stories and laughter with everyone. Their genuine joy and enthusiasm added an extra layer of warmth to the atmosphere, reminding you of the strong bonds that connected your extended family.

At one point, Goku's signature grin caught your attention as he chatted animatedly with Krillin. They were engaged in a lively debate about the best way to change a diaper, and you couldn't help but laugh. Goku's eagerness to learn the ropes of parenting was endearing, and it was heartwarming to see him so involved.

Nearby, Vegeta seemed to be observing the interactions with a mixture of amusement and something you could only describe as fondness. He caught your eye, and for a brief moment, a small, genuine smile graced his lips before he returned to his more composed demeanor.

As the day began to wind down, Bulma approached you once again, her expression softer now. "Y/n, I hope today was everything you wanted."

You smiled warmly at her. "Bulma, it was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better day."

She enveloped you in a hug, and you could feel the genuine warmth in her embrace. "You're like family to me, you know. I wanted to make sure this was a special memory for you."

And a special memory it was. As you stood there, surrounded by laughter and the people who cared about you, you couldn't help but feel a deep sense of gratitude. You were about to embark on a new chapter of your life, one filled with challenges and joy, and you knew that with the support of your friends and family, you were more than ready to face it head-on.

With the baby shower coming to an end, you took a moment to soak in the atmosphere, holding onto the love and camaraderie that surrounded you. As the last of the guests said their goodbyes and the room began to quiet down, you exchanged glances with Vegeta and Goku, sharing a wordless understanding of the journey that lay ahead.

Hand in hand, you left the bustling room behind, ready to take on whatever the future had in store – together, as a united family, surrounded by the bonds that had been forged through battles, laughter, and now, the anticipation of welcoming new life into the world.

----------

It had been about two months since you found out about the twins, after that good heart-to-heart with Vegeta, and a month since your baby shower, you felt more confident in yourself but at the same time, you were also worried about the possibility of dying. You were okay with giving your life to ensure your babies got a chance at life but it didn't make it any less scary.

Each day seemed to bring a mix of excitement and apprehension as you carried the weight of your growing responsibility. The bond between you and Vegeta had deepened, and he was showing a side of himself that few got to witness. He became more attentive, often checking in on you and even assisting you with various tasks around the house, his stern demeanor occasionally softening with a rare smile.

One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon and cast a warm glow across the sky, you found yourself standing outside, lost in your thoughts. The gentle breeze ruffled your hair as you gazed out, a swirl of emotions churning within you. The fear of the unknown mingled with the fierce determination to protect your unborn children.

"Y/n," Vegeta's voice came from behind you, breaking your silence. You turned to find him leaning against the doorway of your and Goku's mountain home, his arms crossed. "Thinking about the future again?"

You offered him a small smile, grateful for his presence. "Yeah, I can't help it. It's just... there's so much to consider, so much to prepare for."

He approached you, his gaze softened. "We'll face whatever comes together. You're not alone in this, remember?"

You nodded, feeling a mixture of relief and comfort wash over you. "I know, Vegeta. It's just... the thought of not being there for them, of not seeing them grow up..."

His hand reached out and gently rested on your shoulder. "I understand your worries, but dwelling on the negative won't help. "

Just then, a familiar voice chimed in from behind. "Hey, are you guys having a serious talk without me?"

You turned to see Goku approaching, a playful grin on his face. His arrival brought an instant sense of warmth and levity to the conversation.

"Speak of the devil," Vegeta muttered under his breath, though there was a hint of amusement in his tone.

Goku reached you both, his eyes filled with curiosity. "So, what's the serious talk about?"

You exchanged a knowing glance with Vegeta before turning back to Goku. "We were just discussing the future and the worries that come with it."

Goku's expression softened as he stepped closer, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. "Well, I might not understand everything, but one thing I know is that we'll always be here for each other. We're like a big, weird, but awesome family, right?"

You chuckled, leaning into his side. "You're right, Goku. And having you both by my side makes me feel a lot better about everything."

Vegeta rolled his eyes, but there was a hint of a smile on his lips. "Fine, fine. I suppose having you around has its perks."

Goku grinned widely. "See? Even Vegeta agrees."

As the three of you stood outside, the sun's last rays painted the sky in shades of orange and pink. At that moment, surrounded by the people who meant the most to you, you couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of hope and strength. With your brother and your mate beside you, you were ready to face the challenges that lay ahead, knowing that together, you could overcome anything.
