The next few days passed quickly as you spent the majority of your time with Goku and Goten. They showed you around Earth, taking you to some of their favorite places and food spots. You and Goku had grown very close, finding yourselves wanting to be around each other more often than not. You and Goten got along exceptionally well. One day, Goten asked if you wanted to see his toy collection, and you spent half the day with him as he explained each toy and how he acquired it.

Today was a Saturday on Earth, and you were currently enjoying some peace and quiet in the backyard, reading a book that Bulma had given you. Goku had plans to take Goten with Gohan today for something related to school, so you wouldn't be seeing him, which was a bit disappointing. However, you could also use some personal time.

Around mid-afternoon, you noticed Vegeta walking into the backyard, making a beeline toward you. You sat up and waited as he approached.

"No plans with Kakarot?" Vegeta said smugly, aware that you had spent most of your time with Goku. You had also picked up that he referred to Goku as Kakarot, probably because he wasn't a fan of earthly names.

You gave him an unamused stare, not appreciating his tone.

"I came to tell you that Bulma wants to throw you a welcome party," Vegeta stated with a smirk, knowing that you might not be thrilled about it.

"Why? I've already met everyone at her birthday."

"I said the same thing," a chuckle escaped his lips. "But before you try to protest, there's no changing that woman's mind. I've tried many times."

Vegeta conveyed everything Bulma had asked him to tell you, and then he took a seat beside you. After about 20 minutes of silence, he reached for the book you were reading and inspected it.

"Such silly Earth things," he commented as he examined the book.

"It's interesting," you shrugged as you took the book back.

You continued reading your book as Vegeta sat there in quiet contemplation beside you, gazing off into the distance. The two of you maintained a peaceful silence as the afternoon unfolded. Bulma emerged a few hours later to inform you that the party would be held tomorrow, after which she dragged Vegeta away to assist her with something.

The tantalizing aroma of something delicious wafted into the house later that night, prompting you to investigate. You found Trunks devouring a bowl of food, which turned out to be something called ramen. 

He helped you prepare a bowl for yourself. With your first bite, an explosion of flavor bursts across your taste buds. The taste was beyond anything you'd experienced before, and you ended up eating four bowls.

The remainder of the night was uneventful. You spent most of it finishing your book, watching some TV with Trunks who explained the shows to you, and carried him to his room after he fell asleep. Heading to your own room, you contemplated what the next day would bring. You were excited to see Goku and Goten, but still apprehensive about dealing with the party Bulma was organizing.

The following morning seemed to drag on as Bulma refused to let you assist with anything. However, you found entertainment in observing Bulma issuing orders to Vegeta and Trunks. You could now understand why Vegeta had chosen Bulma as his mate—their personalities complemented each other, and as annoyed as Vegeta may seem, it was evident that he didn't mind helping her.

While the boys were in the middle of setting up, Goku and Goten suddenly appeared out of nowhere, startling Vegeta and causing him to fall on his backside.

"Dammit, you clown! Can't you use the door like a normal person?" Vegeta shouted, picking himself up and pointing his finger at Goku's face.

The rest of us broke out laughing as Goku did his classic scratch behind the head as he apologized and told Vegeta to chill out a little. Goku helped Vegeta with the rest of the setting up as Trunks ran off with Goten before Bulma could get him to do anything else.

They finished getting everything ready and it was all set up Bulma made you get changed into something nicer than the clothes you were currently wearing when you changed and made it back outside you found the backyard filled with people who yelled "SURPRISE" when they saw you

This made you break out in laughter making everyone stare at you kind of confused

"It's not much of a surprise when you watch it all get set up, but the actual surprise is how you all got here so fast"

Trunks took a step forward with a proud smirk "That was my idea"

Everyone broke out laughing and the party took off in full swing you made rounds talking to everyone the first people you ended up talking to was Krillin and 18 who had their daughter Marron with them. You were mostly talking to 18 as she was talking about Marron, and how Krillin had just gotten his new job at the police department, Krillin talked a bit about his job before he ended up disappearing and going to talk to others. 

During your talk with 18 you made plans to go with her and Bulma on one of their girl's day next week. After your talk 18 went to go find Krillin with Marron so you moseyed along and ended up talking to Tien and Chiaotzu learning a bit about them before moving on to Yamcha and Puar. Puar was really sweet while Yamcha continuously tried to hit on you, you could tell he had nice intentions but didn't seem to notice the uninterested responses you gave off.

From a distance Goku had been watching your encounters with the others making sure nothing happened, he didn't believe anything would but he couldn't get the urge to protect you out of his body. He smiled to himself when he watched you deny all of Yamcha openly obvious flirting, making him feel reassured that he had a chance with you. It had been a while since Goku had been with anyone and he had tried dating a few years ago when Krillin tried to take him out but he just found it silly that people wanted to jump around with a bunch of annoying lights and everyone he talked to didn't share anything in common.

You had managed to sneak away when Yamcha turned around to get something and unfortunately, you were met with Master Roshi, Turtle, and Oolong who were quick to develop nose bleeds and were trying to grab you.

"Golly you sure clean up nice" Master roshis eyes nearly popped out of his head as he attempted to reach forward and grab you

Before you could smack them Goku appeared in front of you blocking master roshi from attempting to touch you.

"You might want to think again" A somewhat of a growl left Goku's mouth as you watched Roshi and Oolong get scared and scatter away. Goku turned around and gave you a smile "I was watching and when I saw what they were about to do, I couldn't let them."

Your lips turned into a smirk before sassily stating "So you were watching me" You raised your eyebrow at him a little, you found it sweet that he would do that for you but you also wanted to tease him a little

Goku stammered trying to respond "I uh" he rubbed his head looking to the ground trying to find the right thing to say

You broke out into a smile at his nervousness

He looked up and he noticed you were smiling and he laughed now knowing what you were doing, he maybe wasn't the smartest but he could pick up on flirting and teasing after years of hanging out with his friends  "I guess I was" he said back a smile expanding across his face

"I was just bugging you" You met his gaze before you grabbed his hand and pulled him behind you "Come on let's go see what the kids are doing" Goku followed behind you deciding not to remove his hand from yours as you went and found Goten, you the grabbed Gotens hand and you all made your way to the food table and sat down together helping yourselves to massive amounts of food Bulma had gotten prepared for today. 

Vegeta and Trunks had made their way to the table you guys were at before joining you guys and within an hour a good portion of the food disappeared. After that hour left the boys who were still eating at the table, not wanting to be too full, and made your way away from the table you went back to see everyone was conversing with one another so you thought you'd go talk with Gohan to know more about him since you were getting close with his dad and his little brother.

You were talking with Gohan and Videl for awhile talking about a ray of things, currently, you were talking about their new member coming into their family and how Videl was setting up the new baby room, and how Gohan was nervous and scared he wouldn't know what to do. You gave him some reassurance that he would be fine seeing his personality you knew that kid would have an amazing father and you made sure to tell him earning a hug and a thank you.

 As you finished up your conversation you felt very familiar ki over near Bulma, you whipped around and excused yourself from your conversation and made your way over to the side of the house where Bulma was and saw her talking to Whis. It had been a week or so since you had last saw him and you didn't want to admit it but you missed him. You ran over and he spun around just as you got near and met you as you wrapped your arms around him

"Oh y/n it's so nice to see you again! I was coming to see how things were going to see Bulma here was throwing you a welcome party, how very nice of her" Whis beamed as you pulled yourself away from the hug

"Yes it is, but it isn't necessary" Bulma sent you a glare so you quickly added "But it is very appreciated!" And gave her a wide smile and a quick hug hoping she would be back in her good mood, luckily it did as she finished her conversation she went to find 18 leaving you and Whis to get done personal time to talk.

You talked with Whis for a while catching him up on what you had been doing on earth and you had mentioned how you had been getting closer with certain saiyans and Whis couldn't help but smile as he watched your face light up as you talked about Goku and Goten.

Whis excused himself when he smelt some of the new food the cooks had brought out, this left you by yourself and you weren't really in the mood for more socializing. You found yourself a spot off to the side not too far away from everyone and sat and a chair and enjoyed the quiet commotion as you watched the clouds pass over.

As the party went on you started to get an uncomfortable feeling in your gut as you felt a few power levels disappear from the atmosphere, you looked over to see that everyone paid no attention, you didn't blame them the power levels were so low that it couldn't possibly be a threat but you couldn't get the feeling out of your stomach that something bad was coming. You stood up and walked over to Goku who was talking to Whis and Vegeta after overhearing Whis agree to train him now Goku was asking him to train him, and you interrupted them

"Hey did you guys feel anything?" You asked

"No what are you talking about?" Vegeta replied

Goku and Whis waited for you to go on.

"Maybe it was nothing, I just can't get this feeling to go away"

"What feeling?" Worry spread across all three of their faces

"I'm not sure I felt something leave Earth and it's just left me with an uneasy feeling that something is going to happen" You turned away not wanting to see their reactions

"Well I don't feel anything so it's probably nothing," Vegeta said smugly as he turned away and went off to find Bulma

You felt a hand on your shoulder and you looked over to see Goku giving you a sympathetic smile

"I believe you, I'll be on the lookout for anything" You gave him a smile and you reached your hand up and squeezed his hand on your shoulder before muttering a small thanks, you turned back to where Whis was and he was eating something that made his face light up. He grabbed the extra one from his plate and placed it in his hand and showed you

"Come on y/n, you need to try this" Whis said while showing you the delicacy in his hand "They call these cupcakes, they are awfully delicious" Delight filled his face as he spoke

You took the cupcake from his hand before almost shoving the whole thing in your mouth before Goku stopped you saying he almost made the same mistake he took off the little paper wrapper and then you plopped it in your mouth and the same face Whis made you involuntarily copied

"Oh my goodness! I need more !" You exclaimed with joy as Goku laughed at your expression before taking your hand and pulling you over to the table that was scattered with all kinds of desserts like cupcakes.

The two of you sat there eating desserts sharing a laugh for about 20 minutes not paying attention to anything but the other. It became clear that you were beginning to develop feeling for Goku and unknown to you Goku felt the same way. You and Goku were mid-conversation when a loud explosion in the distance was heard pulling everyone's attention and a massive ki was now present. You looked over to see everyone's reactions to see a lot of the group had a scared look on their faces, you turned to Goku to see he had a serious face he turned to you and frowned.

"I guess you were right"

Confusion filled your face as you felt he knew who it was "Who is it?"

"Frieza"
