Author's Notes:

Yay!!! I so love this chapter, it may seem a little wtf to some people though.

- Saturday Afternoon –

The rest of the school week had gone by slower than molasses. Every day was an identical schedule: eat, go to school, laugh with his friends, get picked on by Dash, lunch, fake being alright, go home, hang out with whatever ghost was waiting for him, dinner, pass out, repeat. On the plus side he hadn't had a single nightmare, he had even had one very good dream (if you know what I mean) that embarrassed him to no end. The bad news that he hadn't seen Vlad all week. The teen could have teleported to see the other but he didn't for two reasons, he didn't want to seem like a pest and his damn pride.

'Great way to repay him for the spectacular place he took me to on Sunday. He must think that I'm so selfish.' The halfa thought gloomily as he watched his friends play Doom, version four or five he couldn't remember which. They had asked him to play with them but he had made some lame excuse about being tired from the hectic school week.

"I'm going for a quick walk." He said his voice much too cheery.

"Okay, just be back here soon. I want you to see when I dethrone the princess." Valerie said.

He went outside, regretted not taking his jacket and sat on the front steps of the house, rubbing his hands together for warmth. The September weather was already to the point where it could be considered nippy for a normal person, but to him they might as well be in late fall.

"Fuck ice powers and my life." He muttered. About who knows how long later he heard a cybernetic laugh, which startled him out of his thoughts, he growled and transformed, wanting to be anywhere but where he currently was. Technus showed up a bit ways in front of the halfa.

"Fuck you Technus! I am soo not in the mood your crap today! Or any other day for that matter!"

"Oh but I'm not here to fight ghost boy." The cyber ghost said.

"Wait what?"

"Well to be completely honest, I'm pissed off. Skulker hasn't been very appreciative of my superior technological ideas lately. He tried to tell me how to properly reprogram his suit. So I figured that I'd visit you to blow off some steam."

"I thought that you weren't here to fight."

"Yes, but I'm here to test something which might prove to be amusing. After all, if I don't attack you then you won't get panicked ergo your ghost mate won't show up to save you again." Technus explained lazily.

"Okay what the fuck is a ghost mate? That's the second time that I've heard that."

The cyber ghost looked shocked before laughing that computer generated laugh of his. "Wow! You're more naïve than I thought!"

The halfa growled." Then perhaps you would be so kind as to enlighten me."

Just then his friends burst through the door, nearly plowing into him since he was still in the doorway. "Heyo, we saw this creep from the window and decided to help kick ass." The huntress explained. She had already gotten into her red fighting suit and had her ecto pistol ready.

"Oh goodie, the gangs all here." The cyber ghost said before spraying them all with some sort of gas.

"Don't breathe it in!" Danny warned though it was a bit late for that.

"Oh please, as if I would cut the fun short by merely poisoning you all. Have fun with your little virus." Technus cackled before disappearing.

"What the hell does he mean virus?" Sam asked, waving the smoke away.

"Hell if I know. Are you all okay?" the older teen asked. 'Funny, that gas was odorless, tasteless...what the hell was that?' he thought perplexed

"Maybe we should have your parents check what it was in the lab," Tucker offered "I mean the last time I got sprayed with some mysterious gas I got ecto-acne."

"Ugh, did you have to remind me of that?" the goth groaned.

"Either way, Tucker's plan is better than no plan," the huntress said in her commanding 'let's get shit done don't fuck with me' tone. She pulled out her hoverboard and climbed onto it. "Danny you and princess fly since there's not enough room on this thing, Sam and Tucker you guys fly with me."

"Got it." Dani said already taking off followed by her brother. They got to the house in a matter of minutes, immediately raced inside, found Danny(i)'s parents and explained the situation. Now over the years he halfas and their friends had been sprayed and gooped with numerous substances from their foes but none the less his parents immediately set up the tests to see how the gas had affected them.

The whole time while for symptoms/patronizing asking Danny for being so careless. Yeah, because fighting ghosts was supposed to follow a strict specific schedule. The parents took a blood sample from each of them and studied the samples as the friends talked amongst each other.

"It's kinda odd that this attack didn't seem very electronic." Sam said

"Maybe he wanted to switch things up a bit." The techno geek offered.

"Well remember, Skulker and Technus are a team now. I wouldn't be surprised if the cyber nut decided to take a page out of Skulker's book." The male halfa said

'Skulker did use a powder attack on me recently,' he thought. 'Though the last two times that they attacked me all they did was electrocute the shit outta me.'

"All I want to know is what's going on!" the ghost girl shouted before shuddering.

"Danielle? Babe are you okay?" Valerie asked sounding a bit worried.

The ghost girl didn't answer, she seemed to shut off in a way before doing the most unexpected thing; she started singing. "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope. For a destination. I realized quickly when I knew I should that the world was made up of this brotherhood of man. For whatever that means."

"Dani what-" he shivered as well, cutting himself off before picking up where she had stopped. "And so I cry sometimes when I'm lying in bed. Just to get it all out, what's in my head. And I, I am feeling a little peculiar."

'Yeah no shit that I'm feeling peculiar! What the fuck is going on?!" he thought, he tried speaking only to find that he couldn't, he could only continue to sing the song. 'Why am I singing?!' he internally screamed.

The whole group (minus Danny(i)'s parents) sang the next part together, looking equally confused. "And so I wake in the morning and I step outside and I take a deep breath and I get real high and I scream from the top of my lungs: What's going on? And I say, hey hey hey hey I said hey, what's going on? And I say, hey hey hey hey I said hey, what's going on?"

They continued the song, Danny singing the next part, afterwards Dani, her brother again, then they all sang the chorus together and Danny finished the song.

They all looked at each other in a 'what the hell just happened' silence for a few minutes; the male halfa was the first to break the silence. "What in the flying fuck was that!?"

For once his mom didn't reprimand him for his language. "Well that certainly explains the test results." She said sighing and shaking her head.

Okay I know what's happening now seems a bit wtf but next chapter I'm gonna drop some science on y'all that'll clear this mess that i have written up. Maybe. XD
I was laughing my ass off while I wrote this, what can I say? I love musical style stuff.
The song that was used for this story was "What's up?" by Four non Blondes. I do not own the music, I just thought that it would be funny as hell to include it.
Sorry if this chapter seems short, I just thought that this was a good way to end the chapter.
