Nathan's POV

"I have some information you may want to hear." Mike says as he walks in.

"Come on in. Let's have a seat in the living room." I answer as I close the door behind him. We both walk into the living room, and mom is seated on the couch. He takes a seat in the chair while I sit next to mom.

"Hello Mrs. Thomas. How are you?"

"I am fine. I know you are not here on a personal visit, so tell us what you know."
"You always could see right through all of us, couldn't you?"
"None of you boys could ever hide anything. I could see it on your face every time."

"We have finally located Jennifer, but she somehow knew we were coming."
"You lost her again?" I ask.

"We did. She has to have someone alerting her. That's the only thing I can think of."
"So, how do we catch her?"

"That's the reason I am here. We need to set a trap, and I need you to be the bait."
"Are you kidding me? That girl has gone feral by now and who knows what she is capable of." My mom says concerned.

"He won't be alone. We can set up a neutral palace for this to happen."
"This seems too risky, son."

Momma bear is starting to kick in and I can see the anger rising.

"It may be the only way that we can catch her, mom."

"I know, but what if you get hurt?"

"We will be close. He won't be alone." Mike adds.

"If we do this. It needs to be here. She would be suspicious anywhere else."
"I still think it's too dangerous." Mom interjects.

"If it's the only way to catch her then I think it should be here." None of us heard Lily walk in. She quietly walks and sits between mom and I, taking my hand in hers.

"How long have you been listening?" I ask.

"Long enough to know that they found her and what needs to be done to catch her."

"Babe, you should be resting."
"I couldn't sleep, and I heard everyone talking. I came out to see what was going on."
"I was just telling them that we found Jennifer and that we were trying to come up with a plan." Mike explained.

"You can't meet her out in the open. She is probably spooked at the moment and will run. You have to lure her back here."

"I can't do that. We can't just upheave Leo. He just came home."
"I don't like it anymore than you do, but it may be the only way to catch her." Mom added.

"Can I think about it? I don't like having that psycho in this house."
"I can give you that. Jennifer can be unpredictable. She knows we are on to her and will do anything to get you back and stay out of jail." Mike stated.

"I know you are concerned with our safety, Nate but if this is how we take her down, then I think you should do it. I know Mike will keep us safe until then."
"I need to get back to the office. Let me know what you decide. Don't take too long. I'm afraid we may lose her again and possibly for good."

"I got it, man. I'll let you know tomorrow. I just need time to process it. I have a family to think about now."
"I never thought I would ever hear you say that. I guess we are growing up. I'll leave you to it. Call me tomorrow."
"Don't worry, I'll call you."
I walk him out the door, and he warns me once more before he gets in his car and drives off. I walk back into the living room, and LIlly has gone back to the bedroom. I walk back, and I hear singing coming from the nursery. I stop in the doorway, and she is leaning over the crib, rubbing Mariano's back as she softly sings to him. I quietly walk over, wrapping my arms around her waist and placing my chin on her shoulder.

"That's a beautiful song."
"It's something my mom used to sing to me when I was little."
"Were you and your mom close?"

"We were. She and my dad were killed when I was little."
"I'm sorry to hear that. May I ask what happened?"

"I'm not entirely sure. My grandmother never told me. She is the one who raised me after that."

"At least you had a family that could raise you."

"She was a wonderful woman. She taught me everything I know."

"How did you meet Mariano?"

"It's quite funny. I bumped into him coming out of a coffee shop and spilled my hot coffee all over him."

"Oh my, he wasn't angry was he?"
"He was at first. He was yelling and wiping his jacket until he looked up at him and the rest is history."
"I could understand how that happened. The first time I saw you, I was hooked."
I could feel the heat in her cheek as I turned and kissed it. I love how shy she gets when I compliment her. She leans against me as we watch little Mariano sleep.

"Are you going to help Mike and his crew?"

"I don't know. On one hand, I want her gone and to face what she has done, and on the other, I don't want her anywhere near you or Leo."
"I get that, but I'm sure they will have a place for us away from here. I think it's for the best or we will always be looking over our shoulders."

"You're right, I just don't want to be anywhere near her after what she did."
"I'm sure it won't be too long. As soon as they know she is here, they will come running in."
"Okay, I'll do it but I don't like it. You two will be far from here."
"Don't worry, we can go to your mom's. She would love to have us."
"He looks like a little angel when he's sleeping."

"I think he looks just like his father."
"Do you miss him?"

"I do, but I am glad I am here. He will always have a piece of my heart, but the rest belongs to you."
She turns in my arms, and I press my lips to hers. It's so good to have them home, and I'm never letting them go again. I can't help but deepen the kiss. It's been so long since I tasted them, and I can't get enough. I sweep my tongue across her bottom lip, asking for entrance and she quickly opens them to let our tongues collide. "We need to stop because you need to heal for six weeks and I will be taking a lot of cold showers. My mom is still here, and we need to tell her what my decision is."
"Yeah, we need to talk." She says breathlessly as she walks out of the nursery and to the living room. I lean down and kiss Mariano on the forehead and whisper.

I follow Lily out to the living room, and she is already talking to mom. We both sat with her for a while and talked about everything. Lily and Mariano will go stay with mom while this whole thing goes down.

"I'm going to head home so you can call Mike. Let me know when I can expect Lily and company,"

"Thanks, mom. I will call as soon as I know."

I walk her out to the car and give her a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek before she gets in her car and heads home. I walk back in the house, and LIiy is waiting for me on the couch.

"Are you ready for this?" she asks.

"No, but let's get this done."

"I pick up the phone and dial Mike's number. He picks up quickly.

"Officer Mike Cantrell speaking, how may I help you?"
"Hey Mike, it's Nathan. I have made my decision to go ahead and get in touch with Jennifer. I don't like it, and the thought of her touching me makes my skin crawl, but if it keeps my family safe, then I will do it."

"Okay, I will let my boss know. Here is her number that we got from her family member. Call me back when you have talked to her and we can set up how we catch her."
"Thank you, the quicker we do this, the quicker I can get on with our lives."
"I'll be talking to you soon."

He gives me the number, and we hang up. I stare at that number for a long moment before Lily says something.

"Go ahead and call her. No matter what you tell her, I will always be here. Just tell her that my memory came back and I couldn't stay here any longer. That I told you I didn't really love you and I had to go back to my family."

"Okay, you know I would never mean that and it hurts me to say it."
"I know, but she needs to believe it or she won't come back."

I shake my head and begin to dial Jennifer's number. There are several rings before she finally picks up. My stomach twists as I hear her voice.

"Hello?"
"Jenni, it's me Nathan."
"Well, I never thought I would hear your voice again."
"She left."
My heart squeezes as I say those words. It's not something I want to hear fall from my mouth. I look over to Lily and she softly shakes her head encouraging me to go on.

"Who left?"
"Lily, she's gone. She remembered who she was and said she never loved me. She said she was only with me until she got her memory back and she was going back to her family. She said she couldn't live with a common man like me. She took the baby and left. I should have listened to you. Can you come over? I miss you and I need you."
"I'm not in town right now, but I will leave immediately and come to you."

"When will you get here?"
"I will be at your place tomorrow afternoon. I miss you, baby. See you soon."
"Miss you too, be careful."

We hang up and I take a deep breath. I hope this is all worth it, and we are able to get Jennifer without anyone getting hurt. It makes me physically nauseous to think that she will be anywhere near me. Lily leans in and kisses my cheek.

"It will all be okay. We will get her and this will be all over. She won't be able to harm either of us again. Now the next step is to call Mike and get everything set up."
"You don't believe anything I told her right?"

"Of course not. You had to tell her that to get her to come here. I know how you feel about her and me."

"Good, because I love you and always will."
"I love you too. Now, let's get this over with."
I pick the phone back up and dial Mike's number. He picks up again quickly.

"Hey Nathan, were you able to get in touch with her?"
"Yes, and she ate it all up. I had her in the palm of my hand. She never suspected anything."
"That's good. I will get my team together. Did she say when she will be here?"
"She will be here in the afternoon."

"Good, our team will come set up mid-morning. I will get with them now and we will see you tomorrow."
We hung up and immediately my phone pings with a message from one of the guys.

Text from Connor- Hey I hate to bother you since you are just home with the baby, but the customer is here and is irate. He says he wants to speak to you and only you.

"Baby, the guys need me for a bit. Will you be okay for a couple of hours? Apparently, the customer is on-site and angry."
"Go, we will be fine. He is asleep right now. I will be fine."
"I won't be long."
I kiss her lips and quickly get up, grabbing my keys and head out the door.

Lily's POV

I watch as Nathan leaves, and I walk back to Mariano's nursery, He is still fast asleep with a smile on his lips. I can't believe he is here. I wish his father was here to see him. He would be so proud. I know that Nathan will be a wonderful father to him and won't let him forget his biological father. I lean down and kiss his forehead before I walk out to the kitchen and begin cleaning. Once I am done I decide to go lay down again. I have been lying down for a bit but can't seem to rest. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm restless. All of a sudden, I hear Mariano cry, and I quickly get up and rush to his room. I freeze in the doorway.

"Well, hello there, tramp. I guess he lied to me again, didn't he?"
