Brianna/Lilly's POV

Where is everyone today? Usually Poppa and Momma come to see me at lunch and visit. No one has come around or even taken my breakfast dishes. I wish I knew what was going on. There is not much in this room, but the furniture you would see in a hospital room. It does have a small TV, and I grab the remote to turn it on. The news comes on, and the newscaster is talking about a missing person. I quickly turn it up and realize they are talking about me. Nathan's face flashes across the screen, and my heart flutters. I miss him so much I have to get back to him. He has to be out of his mind with worry. The segment is soon over, and Poppa walks in.

"Hello sweetheart, how are you feeling today?"

"I am feeling great. I want to get out of here. I need to get back to Nathan."

"The doctor said that you could get out of here. I have your old room set up. Now get that other man out of your head. You will be staying here. You are carrying my heir, and he will be born and raised here."
"I love Nathtan. I need to get back to him."
"You belong to Mariano. You will live here."

I will always keep him in my heart. I love Nathan, too.I would never keep this baby from you."
"I'm sorry but you are staying here."
I can't believe he is keeping me here. I never thought he would be this mean. I search his face for any kind of remorse and I don't see any.

"I can't believe you are doing this to me, to us. Mariano would be so angry."
"He would want his son safe. I am doing this for him."
"It's not right."
We stare at each other for a few moments until I hear footsteps and voices above us.

"What is that?"
"Nothing sweetheart, just some business associates looking round."
"Oh, okay."

"I will have Maria bring some lunch and later the doctor will come to take a look at how you are doing and maybe release you from this room."
"Thank you"
It comes out as a whisper, and I keep my eyes down as I hear him walk out and close the door behind him. Maria comes in later to bring my lunch. She bring me a nice sandwich and chips with some tea. I thank her for bringing it, and she quickly leaves. My appetite has elft, and I set the tray on the nightstand to curl up on my side as the tears flow.

"Oh, little one, I am so sorry. I hope Nathan is out looking for us. I miss him so much. We will get out of this. I don't know this side of your grandfather, and I hope that he changes his mind. I would never keep you from them, but I love Nathan now. You will know everything about your real father. We will never forget him again."

It's been a week, I think and I haven't really eaten much. I know I need to for my health and the baby, but I miss Nathan and everyone so much. I feel like I've gone from one prison to another. The doctor decided to keep me here on fluids since I refuse to eat. Everyone is concerned about the baby, but I just can't bring myself to eat. Every day Antonio comes to check on me to see if I am any better. He gets angry with me and says I am trying to kill his grandson and that I never loved Mariano. This just makes me even more sad and withdrawn into myself. I can't believe he is like this. He always seemed like a wonderful and loving man. I am seeing a different side of him. He had left a bit ago, and my theirs are flowing. I hear the door slowly open and hear a soft voice.

"Brianna, sweetheart, is it okay if I come in?"

"Yes, momma, come in."
She quietly comes in, and I slowly sit up against the headboard.

"How are you doing, sweetheart."
"I've been better. I just want to go home."

"You are home, dear."
"No, not anymore. I need to get back to Nathan. He is my home now."
"Your baby is the only thing left of our son. You still love him though, don't you?"
"I do, momma. I will always love him, there will always be a place for him in my heart, but I have fallen in love with Nathan. He loves me too. He treats me the same way as Mariano. He has to be worried sick about me. If he doesn't think that I am dead by now."

"We just want to have that little one in our lives. He will be the next king."
"He will always be in your life. I would never keep him from you. When he is grown and wants to be in this life, I will not stop him. I will never keep that from him."
"I can see how much this is hurting you. I will have a talk with my husband. If letting you go makes you happy and keeps you both healthy, then that;s what needs to be done."
"Thank you, momma."
"You rest and please eat something."
"I will try."

Nathan's POV

It's been several hours, and I have not heard anything from Mark. It is killing me not knowing what is happening. Have they found her? Did they get into any trouble? Why haven't I heard from them? My phone begins to ring and I quickly pick it up.

"Hello?"

"Hey Nathan, We are on our way to your house to talk." Mark's voice comes through the line.

"What's going on? Did you find her?"
We will be there in a few minutes. I will discuss it then."

He hangs up and my anxiety begins to rise. I know it can't be good news. I just hope that he is not coming to tell me that LIly is dead and they were too late.It seems like forever before I hear a knock at the door. I get up as quickly as I can, grabbing my crutches and heading to the door. I open it and Mike and his partner walk through.

"Let's go sit down and you can tell me the news." I lose the door, and we all walk into the living room. AFter we all were seated, I started asking questions.

"What happened?"
"We questioned Mr. Derusso about LIly, and he said he didn't know anyone by that name. We told him that she had amnesia and that her real name is Brianna. He told us that he hadn't seen her since she apparently left Mariano. He was so heartbroken that he drank himself to death."
"I don't believe that. She was having nightmares about being kidnapped and tortured. Right before the accident, she had a nightmare and remembered that the man she was kidnapped with was Mariano and that he was murdered."
"Pieces don't fit together. He let us look around the place, but the butler didn't show us everything. I'm pretty sure of it."

"That butler was pretty shady. I think he was hiding something." His partner adds.

"I think they were all hiding something, and I think it was LIly." Mark adds.

"Well, then let's go get her."
"Hang on, we can't just go in there, guns blazing. We have no jurisdiction there. We have to go through the proper channels. I don't want this to blow up in our face and you being arrested if I let you go and us out of a job."
"It could be too late!"

"We are headed to the office now to start on the paperwork. We have to get a search warrant."
"This is ridiculous. She could be in danger."
"I know that, and we will get it rushed through."
"Ugggh, this is so stupid."

"I'm sorry but we have to do it by the book."
"Fine, but get it done. She needs me."
"I will keep you updated."
"I get this damn cast off tomorrow, so I am coming with you."
"Fine, I won't argue but you will stay in the car. I can't have a civilian getting hurt."
"I got it, but it won't be easy."
"Okay, we need to get back to the office and start the paperwork."
"Keep me posted."

"Don't worry."
It's hard not to."
They both get up and leave. I hear mom come in as they go out. They quickly say hello, and I hear mom go into the kitchen, I get up slowly and go in to see her.

"Hey mom, something smells good."

"Yeah, I stopped at our favorite Italian place to grab dinner. I figured since it would be the last night you need me here, I would treat us both."
"Thanks, mom."

"So what did Mike have to say?"

"They didn't find LIly, but they think she may be hidden somewhere with the Derusso's"
"Oh my, that poor girl. She has been through so much. I hope they find her and the baby before it's too late."

"I do too. Mike said that Mr. Derusso hasn't seen Brianna since she left his son. I know he is lying because Lily has started remembering."

"If anyone can find that girl, I know Mike can. Don't worry, she will be home soon."
"I can't help but worry about her. She is so trusting sometimes."

"Everything will be alright, you'll see."
We eat in a somewhat comfortable silence. I can't help but worry about LIly. She has to be scared. I'm not sure what this Mr. Derusso is like. Did he approve of his son and Lily? Would he try to take her baby from her, and would he try to hurt her. Suddenly I lose my appetite, and I am just pushing my food around my plate.

"I know your worried son, but you have to trust Mike and his unit. They will get her home safely."
"I know mom, but I can't help but worry. You know me, it's in my nature. I love her so much. I can't see my life without her anymore. She's got to come home."
"She will son. You'll see."
We finish dinner, and mom cleans up our leftovers. We both go into the living room to relax before going to bed. Mom lets Rufus out one more time before he follows me to the bedroom and climbs into his bed. I know he misses Lily, too. He hasn't been as playful as he used to be and moves around a lot.

"Mike will find her. She will be home soon."

He looks at me with sad eyes and whines. It breaks my heart.

"Cheer up boy. Tomorrow I get this thing off and maybe we can go to the park?"
His ears perk up for a bit before he curls up and goes to sleep. I wish it was that easy for me to sleep. I toss and turn for what feels like forever before I fall into a restless sleep. My alarm goes off before I am ready, and I slowly climb out of bed and get ready. At least there is one good thing about today. I walk out to the kitchen, and mom is already making breakfast, and coffee is brewing.

"Good morning, love, ready to get that thing off?"
"So ready and damn ready to get Lily back."
She brings me a plate and a mug. We eat in silence and she gathers the plates when we are done. We go out to my truck afterwards, and head to the doctor's office. It wasn't long before we were taken back,and the nurse led me to the x-ray room to take pictures of my leg, and I was soon back in the exam room.

"Good morning, Nathan. How are you feeling this morning?" The doctor asks as he walks in.

"Great, and ready to get this thing off."
"I know you are tired of it. I have taken a look at your x-rays, and everything looks perfect. I will send the nurse back in, and take the cast off, and you will be free to go."
"Thanks, doc."
"Thank you doctor," mom adds.

He leaves, and the nurse soon comes in to take off the cast. It doesn't take her too long, and I am free to walk out on my own. Mom hands me my keys, and I drive back to the house.

"Thanks mom, for looking out for me."

"Your welcome son. That's what moms are for."

"Be careful going home and I will talk to you later.

I watch as she pulls out of my driveway and drives off. I walk back inside, and Rufus slowly comes in to welcome me home. He's not his usual self, and it makes me sad. I wish Lily were here.

It's been a few days, and not much has happened. Mike has kept me up to date, and they finally have the ok to go to the Chicago police and they will be going to search the house with a warrant. I hope they find her this time. All of a sudden, I hear a knock at the door. I'm not sure who it was since Mike was getting ready to leave, and I'm sure mom was visiting a friend. I quickly get up to answer the door. I open it, and there stands the one person that I thought may never see again..

"Lily?"
Her smile lights up her face as the tears begin to fall. She takes one step towards me, and her eyes roll back, and I catch her as she begins to fall.
