I am overly excited to start work today. I don't know why, but it will be good to get out of this house and actually do something. I want to help Nate with things, and feel like I am doing something. He has been so nice letting me stay here with him and taking care of me. It's time for me to give back. I quickly get up and jump in the shower to start my day. Nate was going to drop me off at the shop before he went into work. Once I was finished getting ready, I went downstairs to get breakfast ready. I soon heard him coming into the kitchen as I went and got him a cup of coffee, and set it down in front of him.

"Good morning, Lilly. Are you ready for today?"
"Yes, I am excited actually. I am finally able to contribute."
"You know you don't have to, but I understand."

As he sits down, I place a plate in front of him and I sit down next to him as we dig in. We eat in silence and when we are finished he takes our plates to the sink and rinses everything off as he puts them in the dishwasher.

"Are you ready to go?"
"Yes, I am."

We walk out to the truck and head into town. When we arrive at the flower shop we go inside and are greeted by his mom.

"Good morning you two. Lilly, are you ready to get started?"
"Yes, ma'am."

"Then let's get to it. Nathan, she will be fine. You get to work young man."
"Yes mom, have a good day. Lilly, I will see you this evening."
"Thank you, see you tonight."
Nathan heads out and I am left with Abby and another employee.

"So let me show you around. This is Sandy. She has been with me since I opened the place. She is the best."

She shows me around the place and where everything is. Then she starts to show me how to look up the orders and how to do the arrangements. She tells me most of them are our creative ideas and just have to include the flowers the customers ask for. It seems pretty easy and I like being able to use my ideas. Abby had left me to myself for a bit and I didn't realize that it was lunchtime. She walks in and stops for a moment.

"Oh my gosh, Lilly. That is beautiful."
I took a step back and I was actually happy with what I had done. The center was white lilies surrounded by red roses shaped into a heart.

"I love how you turned them into a heart."
"Thank you, it just spoke to me like that."
"I knew you would fit in here. So how about lunch?"

"That sounds good."
We put away everything and locked up as we walked down the street to the diner. We walk in and sit down as the waitress comes over to take our drink order. She wandered off and we talked for a bit as she came back to take our orders. She heads off to put it in. We go back to talking.

"So how are you doing honey?"
"I'm doing better. I am getting little bits of my memory back but I just wish it would be who I am."
"It will come eventually. So how are things with you and Nathan?" She smiles as she asks this. I can tell she hopes there is something between us. Nathan is a nice guy. I don't want to hurt him. I can't throw all my problems on him. I don't even know who I am. He doesn't deserve that. He has already been so kind.

"He has been so helpful. I'm glad he was there that night. I don't know what would have happened to me if he hadn't come along. He has helped me so much. He is such a great friend."

"I'm so glad that he was there for you and still is. He is such a caring young man. I hate what he went through with Jennifer. She is such a bitch."
"I agree. Just from the few times we have run into her, she seems unhinged."

"That's one way of putting it."
We sit and talk some more as we eat and eventually make our way back to the shop and finish out the day. Soon I hear the door open and in walks Nathan. He walks over and gives his mom a kiss on the cheek.

"So how did she do?"
"She is awesome, just like I thought she would be. The arrangements she has done are incredible. Let me show you some pictures."
She pulls out her phone and shows him the arrangements I did today and I see a smile creep across his face as his eyes sparkle.

"These are amazing Lilly."
"Thank you, I didn't know I had it in me."
"Glad we found something else about you. Are you ready to go home?"

"Yep, let's go. See you tomorrow, Abby."
"Thanks mom, see you tomorrow."
"Goodnight guys, thanks so much Lilly. See you in the morning."

We head out the door and I feel his hand go to the small of my back as we head out to his truck. Heat travels up my back to my cheeks as we get into his truck. He pulls his hand away and I feel the cold, and I miss his truck. He shuts the door and heads over to his side and heads home. Once we arrive he goes into the kitchen to start dinner and I follow him in.

"So you had a great day?"
"Yes, I actually had fun. Your mom is the best."

"Yes, she is. Everyone loves her."
"I really enjoy working with her."
"I think she likes working with you too. You do amazing work. So we have found you love to bake, and you're very creative. I wonder what we will find out next. Your cookies the other day were amazing by the way."
"Thank you, it just seemed so easy. You know what. I am hungry and I think I want lasagna."

"That sounds yummy. I will need to go to the store for that though."

"I'll go with you."
"Alright, then to the store we go."
We go back out to the store and get the ingredients for the lasagna, salad and garlic bread. Once we get back home I go into the kitchen and tell him to go sit down and I will make it. He wouldn't listen and helped me put everything together. I told him I wanted to do it for him since he waited on me for so long. He said that it was easy for him and still wanted to help me out. This man is just too sweet and I don't know if I can be without him. Half of me hopes that I never get my memories back. When everything is finished we take it all to the table and sit down to eat.

"This is delicious, Lilly."

"Thank you, it just came to me, like I have made it before."
"You amaze me. The things you create are all incredible."
I smile as a blush creeps across my face. I look over and he is smiling back at me. His eyes are sparkling again as he looks at me. I look into those coral blue eyes and I can finally see the smile in his eyes. I had not seen that before and the color has changed since I first saw them. They were not as dark and stormy as they had been, especially when Jennifer was around. I wonder if it was me that changed them. It couldn't be though, could it? After we finish dinner he cleans up. Tonight we decide to watch a movie and he lets me pick. I decided on an action movie and he looks at me with a smirk. I guess he didn't think I would pick that and pick a girlie movie instead. I don't think I like them and would rather have some action. I don't even make it through to the end as I curl up and fall asleep. I later feel him pick me up and carry me to my room. He places me on my bed and covers me with a comforter and places a kiss to my forehead.

"Goodnight sweetheart, sweet dreams."

"Babe, please tell them what they need to know. They are going to kill you!" I plead.

"Mi amore, don't worry! I will protect you. My family will come for us!" He says trying to comfort me.

Two men return to question us again. I scream as they go after him again. They are relentless as they punch and kick him and i hear grunts and screams as they torture him. He never says a word as they attack him. I cry out.

"Please Stop! You're going to kill him! Please, I love him!"

They stop and one of the men smiles evilly as he walks over to me and grabs a handful of my hair as he yanks it, making me scream out in pain.

"Now, tell me where the shipment is?" The man spits in my face.

"I have no idea what you are talking about!"

"Leave her alone. She knows nothing?"

"But you do. Now tell us and we won't hurt her!" The second man growls.

"I don't know!"

"Wrong answer!" The first man says as he starts in on me. I cry out in pain as I look over and see him struggle to get out of his restraints. I hear another voice in the distance as I scream in pain.

"Lilly, wake up. Sweetheart, please wake up. It's just a dream." I blink my eyes and I look up and see those beautiful blue eyes staring down at me with worry in his eyes.

"ARe you okay? It sounded scary."

"It was hi again and this time I saw everyone's face clearly. I still don't know who he is. I do think he was someone very important to me. Something about a missing shipment too."

I can't help myself as the tears flow and I just his shirt as he pulls me into him. My tears soak his shirt as his scent once again fills my nostrils. We sit together for along time as he holds me against his chest as my tears soak his shirt. Eventually my tears stop falling and I start to fall asleep. He goes to stand up and takes off his shirt as he goes to leave the room.

"Nathan?"

"Yes, Lilly?"

"Could you stay with me tonight? I don't want to be alone."
"Are you sure that is what you want?"

"Yes"

He walks back over and climbs in beside me and I curl up on his chest. His skin is warm against my cheek and I hear his heartbeat quicken as I wrap myself around him .He stiffens a little as I wrap my leg around his hips and he slowly relaxes. He takes a deep ragged breath as his arms wrap around me and he begins to trace lazy circles on my back.

"Thank you for staying."
"Anything for you, Lilly."

I smiled as I closed my eyes and slowly fell asleep, wrapped in his arms.

The next couple weeks went great. I was getting used to everything at the flower shop and Nathan and I were doing great. We were becoming close friends and I enjoyed our evenings together. We usually played board games or watched movies and I loved it. He was even letting me snuggle up with him when we watched movies. At night when I had nightmares he would stay with me until I fell back asleep and sometimes he would even stay the night with me. I loved those nights. Today we had a big order at the flower shop. It was for a wedding and I had been working hard the last couple of days to get everything ready. I had been feeling off for a bit and I hadn't told anyone because I didn't want anyone to worry. We had to get this done and I didn't want to disappoint anyone. I was working on the last bit and I started to feel dizzy as Abby came in to check on me.

"Lilly, sweetheart, are you okay? You don't look so good."
"Maybe I should go sit down."

I lay down the last bouquet and go to sit down as everything started spinning and my world goes black.
