Part 7
I knew exactly what would happen next, even if Bart didn't. With the knowing that I had tons of villains after us now, it wouldn't be much longer before one found us at the Manor. And that nightmare didn't help. I wouldn't put it past Grandfather to use the Pied Piper against me. Most likely after achieving mind control in him. Hartley would never do something to hurt me deliberately.
Bart seemed okay, distracted from the villainous world with a cheerful smile on his face. I didn't want to hurt him by telling him something the bad guys knew and he didn't, but I'd rather him hear it from me rather than them. But now was definitely not the time. I'm not sure if it'll ever be.
I just hope that one day, he doesn't wake up to see me... Dead, beside him, surprised by the fact that I had suddenly died overnight without warning. Suspecting it would be overnight. Who knows, I could suddenly drop dead walking home from a movie with him. Or worse, suddenly collapse in the middle of a mission with assassins and it's only me and him. Or-
"Jay, you in there?" Bart's voice snapped me from my thoughts. "Earth to Jay Jay!" He waved his hand in front of my face.
"Love you too!" I say in response, jolting upwards.
"Uh, okay, love you, but anyways, maybe we should go get breakfast." He flashed one of those c'mon-please-with-a-cherry-on-top smiles.
"Maybe we should." I smiled back softly, just as he lifted me off the bed by the waist.
"And you'll take a fresh shower for me?" He smiled, kissing my nose. "Cause you smell like fish." A joking smile appeared on his face.
I nodded, this time getting a closer look at his face. When we were fourteen, he was adorable, with his bouncy brown hair just above his chin. And his golden eyes always sparkling, a mischievous smile always on his face. But now.... I could definitley say he was hot. His smile was slightly more... Sexy, you could say, and definitely a whole lot more smirky. His golden eyes had turned more of an amber color, the gold color still having little specks in his eyes. His face was a whole lot more broader, and his skin was a little tanner then before. His hair was now a little shorter, and he pushed it behind his ears all the time.
We stayed in the position we were in for a while, until I finally spoke up and said, "I'd, um.... Better take that shower now."
He blushes brightly after he realized he had been staring at me for a while. "Y-Yeah, you go do that." He stuttered, flashing one of those smiles.
"I'll be quick." I say, kissing his cheek before dashing off to the bathroom.
