Btw guys, in the first part, it's not actually how the video goes. I mean it kinda is, but not really.
You should go watch the video anyways. It's awesome. It's the second slide up there. After the pic of Devan.
K bye I'll stop and let you read.

Devans P.O.V
My stomach hurts. I can't breathe. "Collins is just to funny!" I look over at dad behind the camera. He's got a massive grin on his face and I can tell he's trying his best to not start laughing and drop the $2,000 equipment.

Mom's laughing like crazy as well behind the main camera. I look back over at Collins. He's doing his best to save the pancake, but it's only making it worse. "Oops. That didn't work." Another bought of laughter overtakes me as I watch his new fail.

His crying face emoji is just getting worse and worse. Looking back down at my own I wipe away my tears. The griddle sizzles and Collins looks up at me alarmed. "What was that?!" I choke back more laughter "M-my tears! I'm crying I'm laughing so much."

Collins grins "but that's my thing!" I wipe away more tears "not anymore." Collins bursts into laughter and I can't help but follow along in his mirth. His laugh is addicting, as soon as it starts it just brings laughter, and a grin at the very least, to everyone near him. It's something that I've always admired about him.

Mom and Dad both double over laughing. "Oh this is going to be a funny video for sure." Collins and I smell smoke at the same time "Bro! Your pancake! Flip it!" I stumble to grab the flipper. As fast as I can, I flip it. "Oh! Thats...uh thats a little weird, but not as bad as I thought!" "What are you talking about?! Thats so good!" Collins half-yells in shock. I smile "Thanks. You've got to do yours bro."

Collins looks down at his pancake "Uh, it's kinda dead. I don't know if I can fix this." I look down at it as well and laugh "Nope. I don't think you can." Collins stares at it and I look up at mom. She smiles and mouths for me to help my brother.

I look back down at his pancake. "Maybe I could help, though I don't really know how he could fix this." Collins looks up at me "Help. Please." I grin "I don't think this is really savable man." He groans "But you're the artist. Don't they teach you how to save this kind of stuff?"

I shake my head smiling "Not with pancakes!" Collins groans again. "Just...huh. That's not really fixable you know that right?" Collins nods and looks at me for help. "Um...I...don't know how you could even hope to save that. Just make it crazy, like you can't save it so you might as well make it wild."

Collins looks back down and then reaches for the pink batter. "Lets go!!" I laugh and grab the other bottle of pink batter to join in on his fun. No way I'm being left out on this.

"Alright guys, that's it for this video! Check out the other pancake art challenge Devan and I did by clicking right over here." Collins talks around the pancakes in his mouth and points in front of me at nothing. "If you want to see us trying crazy foods click right over there!" I add and point in front of Collins. "Bye guys! Love you!" Collins waves and I smile.

Mom and dad turn off the cameras. Opening my mouth to say something I'm cut off by Collins screaming. "What?!" I turn around and see his pancake on the floor. I double over laughing.

Through my tears I turn off Collins griddle and then my own. "I love your pancakes bro" I exclaim through my laughter. He smiles "yeah well, I mean they are pretty amazing." I snort and he stares at me like I'm crazy.

"Good jobs you guys." Collins and I grin at mom as she starts to clean up. Dad puts the cameras away as Collins and I clean up the pancake batter.

We all sit down to lasagna. "Yes! Thanks mom!" Mom smiles and serves us. "More! More! More!" Collins keeps saying to mom as she keeps putting more. Dad and I laugh as mom finally cuts Collins off and hands the plate to him. Collins makes a sad face but gladly accepts the plate.

Mom takes my plate and gives me just about as much as Collins, if not a little more, even though I don't say anything. "Why would she give me more?" She then takes dads plate and serves him, then finally serves herself. Happily we pick up our forks and dig in.

I sit back and put my hand over my stomach. "I think I had to much." Collins burps "and that's the sign the tank is full." We all stare at him disgusted "ew." He shrugs "what?!" Dad leans back. "It's about 7:30. We've still got time if we want to do something."

Icy, startling blue meets deep, bright blue as Collins and I make eye contact. I can see in Collins eyes that he's thinking the same thing as me. "Night hike!" We exclaim at the same time. Mom and Dad laugh "alright, I guess it's already been decided." We grin at each other.

Collins P.O.V
"Boys! Let's go!" Dad yells from downstairs. I grab a hoodie and run out my door, almost running into Devan. We both skid to a stop and look between the stairs and each other. "Oh, he wants to race? He's so on!" I feel a smile forming on my lips.

At the same time we break towards the stairs. I jump down the last few steps to beat Devan. "Ha! Got you!" Devan grins. I can tell he's not even very upset. "Come on!" Mom exclaims and walks towards the garage. Devan and I follow after her and get in the car.

"Where are we going dad?" I buckle and look at him. He shrugs and pulls out of the driveway "I don't know. Wherever you guys want I guess." I look outside at the soon to be sunset. "What place is the best for a sunset?"

"Um, how about Los Robles Trail? Can we go there?" Devan brightens up at the idea "oh yeah that would be awesome. Please can we?" Dad and Mom look at each other "pleeease!" I beg and cross my hands. Devan joins me. They look back at us. Mom sighs and looks at dad. He grins and nods. "Yes!!" Devan and I shout and high five.

Dad chuckles and pulls onto the freeway.

"Ok. We're here." I quickly unbuckle and jump out of the car. I take a deep breath and fill my lungs with the fresh, cool air. Dad joins me as we look at the shadows the trees are casting on the trail. Devan and Mom come around and join us. "Ok. You guys know the rules. Stay together, watch where your going, keep on the trail, keep your flashlights on, and watch out for animals."

Devan and I nod and turn on our flashlights. I'm excited. I love night hiking. Devan and I take the lead and start on the trail. "Hey Devan, guess what?" He looks over at me "what?"

I put my flashlight under my chin so I've got scary shadows on my face. "We're going into the darkness." I say in my deepest voice. Devan shoves me "don't do that to me Collins!" I laugh and put the light back on the trail. "Oh don't tell me your afraid of the shadows!" Devan gives me a sideways glare. I grin, I know he doesn't much like darkness or shadows, but I've got to tease him a bit. It's my job.

About halfway up Devan and I are starting to sweat. A cool breeze rushes by and we both stop and relax, letting the wind cool is down. Our parents stop with us and for a while we all just stand there and let the breeze cool us down. We all know this trail pretty well, as it's the trail we usually take when we go hiking.

Even though we all know it very well, it's still different to see it at night. The air is so much cooler, the trees suddenly become scary, you usually don't need a flashlight as the moon gives enough light, the sunsets look awesome against the trees, but the best part is reaching the top and looking down at the the city.

As kids Devan and I would try to find our house. Sometimes we still try, but guessing as a kid was better because we could make it up. We could use our imaginations to move the streets and houses around to make everything work.

A few people pass us with nods as we get closer to the top. "Clearly, we weren't the only ones with this idea." Mom states as a family with sleeping toddlers pass us. I just nod and keep walking.

Finally we reach the top and I'm relieved to find we're the only ones up here. We walk to the edge and look out at the city. "It's like fireflies." Devan stares in awe. We've seen this view so many times, but it's a new experience every time. "Yeah..." I state while still staring.

Far off lights twinkle and shimmer. "Like their alive. Devans right, it does look like fireflies."

An idea strikes me and I turn to Devan. "Bro, you should paint this." I gesture to the city in the distance. He nods slowly, thinking. "Could you take a picture for me?" I nod and pull out my phone. Getting a good angle I take the picture and show it to Devan for his approval. He nods "I'll send it to you." I assure him. "Ok. Thanks man." I nod.

"Boys, come look at this." Mom quietly instructs. We pick our way around the cactus and bushes over to them. They point out a group of coyotes nearby. "Woah." I breathe out. "Don't scare them and they won't hurt us." Dad whispers, Devan and I nod.

The coyotes finally notice us and just stare at us, all of them tense. Finally deciding we aren't a threat they turn and slowly start walking away from us. Mom and Dad walk away to look at something else. I follow Devan as he wanders back to look at the city.

Instead of looking at the city, Devan tilts his head up to look at the stars. I follow his lead. "There's so many." Devan whispers, I nod. "You can't ever see these at home."

Devan looks back at the city and sighs contently. "I love it out here Collins. It's so calm and peaceful. You can really get away ya know?" I nod and put my arm around my little brothers shoulders. "Yeah, I know." We stay like that for a while and stare out at the city. I don't take my arm off my brother when mom and dad come back to us. The four of us stare at the city.

Finally Devan and I have been yawning to much, so we decide to start heading back. No one talks, we all just relish in our time together. Mom grabs my hand and we walk back to the car hand-in-hand.

Yawning I let go of moms hand and climb into the backseat of the car. For some reason I sit in the middle seat, right next to Devan. He doesn't say anything as he buckles himself in. Dad starts the car and pulls out. It's so quiet and warm that I can feel my eyes starting to get heavy.

Devan shifts a little next to me. Warmth takes over my side as Devan starts to slowly lean into me. I let him. He yawns again and rests his head on my shoulder. I just smile a little. He sighs contently and I feel his breathing slow as he falls asleep. I yawn and put my head on Devans and close my eyes.

"Collins, Devan. Boys wake up. We're home." I groan and open my eyes slightly to see mom and dad watching us with smiles. Yawning again I rub my eyes as Devan wakes up and pushes himself off me. I shiver as his warmth leaves me. Dad starts to get out of the car and I shiver more as the cool air comes into the car.

Quickly I jump out of the car and run towards the house. Mom and Devan aren't far behind me. As well all step inside dad closes the door. I yawn again and rub my arms, trying to warm up. Mom puts her hand on my arm.

"Let's go to bed." Mom suggests and Devan and I mumble in agreement. We start upstairs. Halfway up I look back down at them still by the door. Dad smiles up at us as Devan turns around too. "We'll be up soon. You guys go to bed. We love you." Devan and I mumble that we love them back and start back upstairs. At the top we head into the bathroom to brush our teeth.

"Night Collins." Devan mumbles as we head out separate ways. "Night Devan." I walk into my room and barely have time to put on shorts and take off my shirt before I collapse onto my bed.
