Chapter 4
Nathan had frozen at the entracnce of the zoo when he saw a very familiar looking man scanning the crowd. Before he could move, he watched as the Russiain's eyes narrowed in on a young woman with her hands full. Three children raced around her as they slowly moved from exhibit to exhibit.
When the Russian slowly touched his ear, Nathan knew that he was on a mission. But what? His eyes narrowed as he watched the man slowly began to follow the woman and her three children. Silently, Nathan followed the Russian.
He could hear the children's excited voices and their mother's laughter. They had stopped at the tiger exhibit when Nathan felt his blood run cold. The woman had turned a bit to speak to the Russian, giving Nathan a good view of her face. She bore an uncanny resemblance to Sang, he thought as his eyes drank in every detail he could remember.
He felt a shock run through him and he reached for his phone. Snapping a couple of pictures of the woman, he opened the text message from Victor. Couldn't find any more information online about our neighbor. However, this morning, Sean and I found out that the kids' names are Weston Dakota, Easton Victor, and Seren Gabriella.
Thanks. Pass the word that as soon as I get home, we're having a family meeting.
Is everything alright Nathan?
Yeah, just make sure that everyone is at the house.
Alright. Nathan sighed and roughly dragged a hand down his face before hurrying to his car. As he raced back to the house, he hoped that this woman was Sang, that their search was over before it barely began. After all, they had six lost years to make up. Suddenly, the three children popped into his mind and again his blood ran cold.
Had she moved on? Had the love of their lives found someone else to love? No, he decided. Sang had loved each and every one of them with her whole heart. And according to Uncle, and his memory of that day at the hospital, Sang still loved them.
When Nathan reached the house, he was happy to see that the driveway was full. Quickly parking his car, he raced inside- finding his brothers patiently waiting for him in the living room. "Nathan," Owen spoke as he nodded at his brother, " Victor said that you asked for a family meeting."
"I did," Nathan spoke as he stood in the middle of the room, looking at each of his brothers. "I was at the zoo just a while ago, looking around." Taking a deep breath, he continued. "The first person I spotted was Raven." Nathan chuckled as North's head snapped up, a frown on his face. "That Russian is here?"
"He is. And I am willing to bet that his team is with him as well."
"Why are they here?" The question came from Sean, who was leaning up against the wall. Owen shifted in his seat before he spoke. "I believe that they are here for us." Suddenly, the sound of eight phones going off filled the room. "Oi, we're in the same f****** room, Nathan. Why'd you text us?"
Gabriel asked as he unlocked his phone and glanced down at it. His face paled as he continued to stare at the picture on his screen. North, upon seeing Gabe's reaction, was quick to do the same. "What's the meaning of this?" He yelled as his eyes snapped up towards Nathan.
Nathan waited until all eight of them were looking at him again. "When I saw Raven, I was surprised that he didn't spot me. His attention was focused on that woman. I watched as he tailed her. Once she stopped at the tiger exhibit, I managed to get close enough to get a picture of her. And that's when I noticed that she looked like an older version of Sang."
Sean pushed away from the wall and made his way towards Nathan. "So these are the facts," he said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Our neighbor is listed as a Mrs. S. Morgan. She has three children: twin sons, Weston Dakota and Easton Victor, and a daughter, Seren Gabriella. And thanks to Nathan, we know that she looks a lot like Sang.
"On top of those, we have Raven following her. I'm not sure why he's following her or if he's just interested in her." This brought many growls and curses from the group. "If this is Sang Baby, I don't want Parrot anywhere around her," North growled out, anger seeping from his body.
"If she is indeed Sang, then the Toma team could believe that she knows where we are and are tailing her in hopes that she'll lead them to us," Luke spoke suddenly as he leaned forward. "We need to be extra careful from now on," Silas said. Everyone nodded as their gaze returned to the picture on the screen of their phone. After six years, they had finally found their heart... Or so they hoped and prayed.
