Hospitals. Everybody hates them, right? Hope shared my hatred of them; their smell, their sound, the plain white walls and the death that happened inside of them. That was the worst part. Yes, I know a lot of people were saved in hospitals, but what about the rest of the population that no matter what was done to help them they were not strong enough to make it through? Or the ones who were strong enough... strong enough to let themselves go. What about the people that died in hospitals?

Their family were left with the pain of losing them, their friends torn apart from having what was the best part of them taken away. Their pets, left without someone to care for them like their owner did. And I knew that, without a doubt, my best friend would be one of the unfortunate ones that didn't get saved. 

I'm guessing I should probably introduce myself. My name is James--no middle name--Parker, and twelve months ago my best friend was diagnosed with Leukemia. For you to understand more of this short, un-delightful, but also mesmerizing story, we'll need to start in the beginning.
