Friday
I had to get analysed by the company head - he told me I was doing alright, and that if I kept up the pace with my progress I would be able to debut within the year.
That was a good thing wasn't it?
During my break today I went to the cafe, and ordered myself a coffee.
"How's training?" Mirae asked, as she quickly poured me the drink and handed it back.
"Tiring. Look I'm sorry about the other week-"
Mirae cut in with a smile. "It's fine, don't apologise about it. I should be apologising. Let me come sit down with you, hm?"
So she did, and we caught up.
"So you were invited to the dorm by Han Jisung, only to basically get kicked out?" She questioned.
I nodded with a sigh. "Yeah, I think me being there freaked Lee Know out. Something about Han's past relationship with a girl I think? I don't know."
Mirae just nodded, pursing her lips into a straight line.
"Yes, that would be the case."
I tilted my head. "Do you know about her?"
Mirae just nodded. "Yeah I do. Tragic story really- I'll tell you another day, your break is probably almost over."
I looked at my phone and groaned.
She was right.
So I rushed off, back to another day of endless training.
Saturday
They gave me the whole weekend off, and I was more than grateful.
I also saw Han again - well, he bumped into me when he was with Bang Chan.
I was with Mirae at the time, as she waved happily at Bang Chan.
He merely gave her a glance and pulled Han with him as they went right past, Han shooting me an apologetic look.
"He doesn't like you, does he?" I commented.
Mirae shrugged. "I knew Han's old girl. That's why."
"Can't you tell me? I'm dying not knowing y'know." I grumbled.
She shrugged lightly, before sighing.
"Her name was Ara- and she had the whole of Stray Kids wrapped around her finger. Kim Ara. Look her up and you'll find the whole story." Mirae said, before patting my shoulder.
"I've got work to do - you go home and rest, yeah?"
I just nodded absentmindedly as she walked off.
I looked at my watch.
I still had plenty of time to make it to Suwon today.
I smiled like a child, as I rushed out, towards my car.
Entering that arcade again after two weeks was like a hit of nostalgia - I missed the crisp smell of fries, the blinking of lights and the constant zapping noise of machines.
I waved high to the man behind the counter, boight my tickets, and started playing on the machines.
I walked past the PhotoBooth, glancing at it.
I pulled my phone out, flipping it over - behind it was the photo strip of me and my sunshine.
It was different without him here. Lonely in one way, but just different.
Sunday
Since Suwon was only a thirty minute drive, I came back again today to check in on my cafe.
"Y/N!" Yohan exclaimed, jumping over the counter to wrap me in a hug.
The instant he touched me, Taekyung was there, pulling him off of me.
He started whining, but one glance shut him up.
She then smiled at me, and hugged me herself.
"Two weeks has never felt longer! What brings you here? Good news, bad news- are you debuting?" She asked question after question.
"Uh neither, and no I still don't have a debut date, it's only been two weeks. Some people train for years. The company head reckons if I keep improving I will be able to debut by the end of the year." I said meekly, as she just grinned.
"Way to make me proud!"
Yohan snuck around behind me, hugging me again.
"You being here is my sanity, this woman is driving me insane!" He whispered, as I chuckled.
"Oh she isn't that bad." I laughed light-heartedly, pushing him in front of me.
My phone started to buzz, as I pulled it out.
"Sorry, one second."
I excused myself, slipping through tables until I was outside, as I picked up the phone.
"Stop searching for him, or I'll make you."
"What?" I asked, completely baffled.
"Stop searching for your precious sunshine. He doesn't want you."
"Look I don't know who you are, but leave me alone." I scoffed, hanging up.
They called again, and again, before I picked up again.
"Are you going to listen to me? Give it up."
"I'm listening, I just don't know you and don't really care to see where you're coming from. Have a great day." I hung up, tired and grumpy.
But then horns honked, as a car came zooming through, and I turned, staring right at it.
But my body didn't move, as it came right for me.
Then I felt the impact, heard a crunch, and my hearing fizzled into a mere ringing.
