*Callie's POV*

I had gotten ready that chilly September morning, and my mom and dad hugged me before I walked out of the front door. I had planned on walking to school alone, but of course, one of the guys had to follow me to keep me safe. I put my earbuds in and blocked out everything around me and started walking. 

When I got to school, I kept my earbuds in as I walked upstairs to go put my stuff away in my locker. I had gotten halfway upstairs when I was bumped into, which caused me to stumble backwards and fall part of the way down the stairs. I heard a loud voice in my ear and my head started to hurt like hell. 

"Oh my god are you ok?! I am so sorry!"

When I looked up to match the voice with a face, I noticed a guy kneeled in front of me. Which I'm guessing by his words, that he was the one that caused me to fall. He had shaggy, jet black hair that partly covered his icy blue eyes. His face was very defined structure wise and his lips were full and plump. He had a lip piercing and from the looks of it, a tongue piercing as well. His voice was deep and silky smooth. When he spoke again, I snapped out of the trance I was in. 

"Are you ok?"

His brow furrowed with worry and his eyes were filled with concern. I nodded slowly and he grabbed my hand and pulled me up off the floor. I looked down to realize that he was wearing all black  and when I looked back up, I realized he was about 6'6" in height which made me look super tiny. 

"I'm so sorry about making you fall. I should've been more careful."

"It's fine. Don't worry about it. We all make mistakes."

"My name is Matt. I'm your nextdoor neighbor. I saw you walking to school today but I figured you wanted to be alone."

"I'm Callie. It's nice to meet you. And you can walk with me anytime that you want to."

He smiled and I realized just how beautiful his smile was and how perfect his teeth were. I smiled back at him and he brushed my bangs out of my eyes. 

"Wow. Callie, your eyes are gorgeous."

Of course I blushed so deep I looked like a tomato.

"Thank you. Yours are better."

He smiled and offered to walk me to class. We hung out together all throughout lunch and then when the last bell rung he offered to walk me home. Of course I obliged and we walked home together and talked about music. We got to my driveway and we said goodbyes and I walked inside. There's something about him I just can't figure out. But I think I like it.
