Jungkook walked into the restaurant and looked around. He had no idea who he was looking for but he knew someone was looking for him. He hoped they'd call out to him before he had to walk around looking for them like a fool.

"Jeon!" Jungkook paused at the sound of a voice he never thought he'd hear again.

His head slowly turned to the man standing up in the booth a few feet away from him. His breath got caught in his throat as his eyes met with a pair of warm brown ones. Warm brown ones that he saw go gray and cold years ago.

Jungkook's eyes shifted from confused, to overjoyed, to pissed off.

He marched over towards his old friend who had a huge smile and his arms opened wide. He doubled over in pain as he felt Jungkook punch him hard in the stomach while holding his shoulder to keep him in place.

Grim fell to the ground and wheezed as he held his stomach.

"What the hell!?"

"You're supposed to be fucking dead. I watched you fucking die. What the fuck are you doing alive right now?" Jungkook seethed into Grim's ear as he knelt down.

"I could've explained everything if you didn't fuck my shit like this," Grim coughed.

"Yo-un, I swear."

"Okay okay, geez," Grim, or Yo-un, stood up and took his seat at the table.

Jungkook sat in front of him and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Okay so basically, Genocide has been moving quickly recently. More so quickly into your territory. Now, you know I hate Genocide and any successor that steps up. Whether they were the one that killed my father or not."

"Mm."

"I mainly wanted to call you to ask…"

"You still do business, right?"

Jungkook squinted and tilted his head to the side.

"Why do you ask?"

"Just answer."

Jungkook's jaw shifted.

"Yeah, I do."

"Any family?"

Jungkook shrugged.

"Dude."

"Get on with it."

"Ugh, fine. I wanted to work side by side like when we were eighteen. We can take down Genocide together. Come on, man."

Jungkook sighed.

"Okay look. I'm gonna be honest. Super fucking honest and if you use this against me or in any harmful way I'll kill you for real this time, got it?"

Yo-un nodded.

"I'm already working on a few things. More specifically, you. Ruby was killed—"

"I know. I got the honors."

"—and everyone else is in disarray in how your business is walking around."

Yo-un shrugged.

"I can't work with you without starting an uproar. I never liked Ruby, hated the bitch, but I had an alliance with her. I have other alliances who also worked with her. So, if you suddenly appear and it's known we know each other, you can imagine that won't be the best, now would it?"

Yo-un crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.

"They don't have to know."

Jungkook paused and stared at him.

"Are you a fucking idiot or what?"

Yo-un giggled.

"Come on, man. Let's defeat Genocide together. The man who took your father figure and my literal father away," Yo-un cooed and put his fist out for Jungkook to bump it with his.

Jungkook looked at Yo-un, then at his fist, then back at Yo-un before slapping his hand away.

"You've been dead for so long your brain actually took on the charade a little too fucking well."

Jungkook pinched the bridge of his nose.

"We aren't fucking twelve and we aren't like child superheroes. This is a fucking business. You can't do this shit all willy nilly."

Yo-un smiles slowly died.

"Jungkook," Yo-un chuckled, "do you think I haven't been planning this?"

Jungkook shrugged and shook his head.

"Jeon, I've been planning this shit since I heard Genocide's leader plotting with my own fucking auntie on how to fucking kill me like they did my father. I've been planning this for fucking years, I'm not joking around."

Jungkook sighed and rubbed his hand down his face.

"Yeah, of course. Grim Reaper, one step ahead of everyone just like death itself," Jungkook grumbled.

"Come on, we need each other."

"Yo-un, what do you have to lose other than your life?" Jungkook whispered as he squinted at Yo-un.

"Uh, my family legacy?"

"That shit died with you. Other than that."

Yo-un pinched his nose.

"Nothing, I guess."

"Yeah, well, I have a shit ton to lose. My people too."

"Your people? Oh, fuck, right. Who's still working?"

"You mean who's still alive?"

Yo-un slouched.

"Maybe I wanted some hope that they just quit."

"We aren't fucking McDonald's, people don't just quit."

"On with it!"

"Death, Lighting, Rider, Knight, and Kitty are still alive."

"Wait, what the fuck? Byul-yi, Yong-sun, Jisoo, Lisa, Whee-in, and K are dead?"

Jungkook nodded slowly.

"Fuck man, I'm sorry."

"We lost Rider's little sister and grandmother as well. A lot has happened since you've been gone. It's been basically two decades."

Yo-un sighed.

"Fine, maybe you don't help me. Why can't we just have each other's backs? Genocide is unknowingly on your ass."

Jungkook's eyes darted to the side.

"They're in this territory?"

"Yeah, like I've been telling and trying to tell you."

Jungkook laughed in disbelief.

"Did those fuckers bomb my house?"

"WHAT!?"

Everyone in the cafe turned around and Yo-un smiled awkwardly at them before turning back to Jungkook.

"What the hell did you say?"

"My house was bombed or something, not long ago. That's what I was blaming you for on the phone."

"See, this is why we should kill them together."

Jungkook rolled his eyes before his phone began to ring in his pocket. He pulled it out of his pocket and held back his smile when he saw it was his husband.

"Hey."

"Where are you?"

"Working."

"That's not where."

"Café."

"Jungkook."

Jungkook chuckled.

"It's just some business at a café, I'll be back soon. Just hold down the fort until then."

"Oh please," Jimin scoffed.

"What do you want for dinner? Papa and I are gonna cook. Prince too."

"I'll tell you later, okay?"

Jimin sighed.

"Fine. If you take too long you're gonna get what you get."

Then Jimin hung up.

Jungkook pocketed his phone and then stood up.

"Look, I can't be of much help until I work out my shit. But until then, let's keep this quiet."

Yo-un sighed and shook his head.

"I'll watch your back, Jeon."

Jungkook gripped Yo-un's shoulder before leaving the café.

"Even if you don't watch mine."

"Boss," a young red-haired alpha bowed to Yo-un who walked in.

"I want King's moving tracked. I wanna know where he's moving and I want nearby surveillance of his home too. At least until he gets his own security set up," Yo-un plopped down into his chair as he barked orders.

"Won't that seem suspicious sir? What if our men are killed?"

Yo-un shook his head.

"We'll be fine."

"Sir—"

"What did I say?"

The alpha shut his mouth and bowed his head.

"Yes sir."

~

"What about this home?" Jimin turned to Jungkook who was cleaning his glasses and sliding them onto his face.

"Hmm?" He leaned over and peaked at his laptop.

"It has a lot of space. A nursery for Serein, a big room with a bathroom for us, a room with a bathroom for Prince, a lot of guest rooms, a big kitchen, a huge yard for you and Prince to train. They also have a pool. You could easily make some of these rooms your office, your meeting room, and your weaponry room."

Jungkook smiled at how passionate his husband sounded while looking through all the house listings.

"It looks nice, honey."

"They also have a garden! We should get this one," Jimin nodded in confirmation as he clicked through all of the pictures.

"Okay, we'll get this one."

Jimin turned to Jungkook and grinned.

"Thank you for letting me choose the house."

"Well, I guess you deserve to do something."

Jimin pinched Jungkook's arm who chuckled.

"What was the meeting about?" Jimin asked as he saved his tab and closed his laptop.

Jungkook looked down at the sheets as he leaned on his arm closer to his husband.

"Um, just… an old friend."

"When your old friends come back, it's never good."

Jungkook chuckled and laid down. He pulled Jimin down to lay on his chest.

"Yeah, I guess that's true."

"So, is this one of those times?"

Jungkook hummed.

"Unfortunately. But it's not the same as Jesibelle. But let's not worry about that right, especially you."

Jungkook pecked Jimin's forehead and turned on his and held Jimin close to his chest.

"Goodnight," Jungkook cooed as he closed his eyes.

"Goodnight," Jimin mumbled as he stared at Jungkook's chest, thinking over his husband's words.
