Epilogue
3 Years Later
"Okay, but what if that scares him off? I've been lying that you're just a CEO for years, Dad," Prince huffed as he stared at the scars that were scattered across Jungkook's back as well as the huge dove inked onto his skin.
"If he gets scared off then that's someone who you simply can't have in your life. Whether you take after me or not, your blood runs deep in this life. From both me and your father," Jungkook's voice rumbled.
Prince scowled. He knew his father was right, but that didn't mean he liked it.
"What did Nini think when you told him about this?"
"Well, he was upset that I lied. Not necessarily that I was involved because as I learned later, he was also involved in this life, but because I didn't tell him."
"What about Beauty with Grandpa?"
Jungkook sat and thought for a moment. He turned around and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Honestly. I'm not sure. But considering what I know about Pa, he didn't take it well."
Prince nodded in agreement.
"All that aside, do we have to start training at 6 in the morning?"
Jungkook cracked his neck and his shoulders while shaking out his body. "Well, you always somehow have something to do in the afternoon and your father won't let me keep you up at night. If you're going to take over, you're going to put in the effort."
Prince threw his head back in a loud groan. "Why is this harder than just learning how to take over the company?"
"Because the company is money-hungry bastards, the syndicate is blood-hungry demons. That's why."
"Fair," Prince mumbled.
"Now hit me."
Prince sighed. He shifted his feet and put his hands up before lunging forward, aiming for his father's nose. Jungkook grabbed the 17-year-old's wrist and spun him around, flipping him onto his back.
"Ground yourself, Pup!"
"I'm trying!"
"I told you to come to the gym with me. You can't just do yoga with your dad."
"But he's strong!"
"He's also killed people. You have yet to even kill a lizard."
"It was fast!" Prince was quick to defend himself.
Jungkook shook his head with a small laugh before helping the boy stand up. It was jarring to the alpha when Prince went from standing at his waist to standing by his shoulder.
It made him a little sad and proud at the same time. His little pup was growing up. He offered to take over the joined syndicate, which Jimin and Jungkook agreed to call Deadly Doves, as soon as he turned sixteen. Jimin and Jungkook assured him he didn't have to, but Prince confirmed he wanted to.
It was his grandfather and father's work. His father's workers who he grew up with. It would feel like a betrayal if he didn't take over. He felt like he owed it to the adults around him.
"Pup, you know you don't have to do this."
Prince groaned and rolled his eyes.
"Dad, I know. I want to."
"Do you want to or do you feel obligated to? This is a big deal."
Prince sat down on the back deck, Jungkook moving to sit down next to him.
"When I was younger it felt like an obligation. But after Grandpa died, I felt a little hopeless seeing Nini, Beauty, and Uncle Liz so distraught. I felt like I couldn't do anything. But you could. And you did." Prince turned to his father who had a gentle glint in his eyes. "If someone wrongs me or the people I hold dear, I want to be able to help them."
"We have police, Pup."
"Oh, police don't do shit," Prince scowled.
Jungkook snorted and pinched Prince's cheek. "Yeah? What makes you say that?"
"Because they can be bought. Look at you. You bought them."
Jungkook laughed and wrapped his arm around Prince's neck, putting him in a gentle headlock.
"Alright, fair. You got me there."
They sat quietly for a moment with Jungkook's arm around the young omega's shoulders.
"I don't really want you to be a killer. I don't want you to be like me," Jungkook sighed.
"But you're amazing," Prince looked up at his dad. "Except when you're annoying."
Jungkook smiled at him and shook his head.
"Yeah, okay sure. But I'm serious. This takes a toll on someone. A big toll. Especially if you decide to start a family. I need to have eyes everywhere whenever your father leaves to go to the store. Especially if he takes Serein. When it was just you and me and you went to school, God, I lost my mind."
Prince hummed with a nod before hugging his father around his middle.
"But we're fine," Prince cooed.
"You almost weren't one too many times."
Prince buried his face in his father's chest and tightened his grip around him.
"But we are."
Jungkook reached up and rubbed Prince's curls.
"You know, I was scared of fucking up with you."
"What'd you mean?"
"I was not ready to be a dad at all," Jungkook laughed. "I thought of myself as just some hotshot bachelor. Imagine my surprise to find a baby on my doorstep. A very cute baby, but a baby I wasn't expecting."
Prince hummed to show he was listening.
"I didn't know what to do. I didn't know who gave birth to you. I was stressed out. I had never experienced waking up at 3 in the morning to a screaming baby. I was losing my mind. I had to depend on everyone around me to raise you. I thought I was doing such a horrible job. What if I ended up fucking you up and I didn't even know? What if you ended up being a killer but not like what I'd expected? I was so... lost when it came to you."
Prince looked up to see his dad's eyes glisten with unshed tears.
"I'm so glad you're you," Jungkook smiled before blinking, allowing his tears to fall.
He held his son's face and sniffled. "So handsomely you."
Prince's lip quivered as he looked at his crying dad.
His dad isn't a crier. He'd shed tears here and there, but the way his dad's shoulders shook was jarring. He's heard about times his dad has sobbed, but they were scarce.
"Dad," Prince sobbed out.
He leaned forward and hugged his father tightly. They held each other and rocked side to side, slowly calming down.
"There you are. Oh. I'm sorry. Am I interrupting?"
Prince pulled away and took in the sight of the tall white-haired boy. Prince sniffled and wiped his eyes.
"Oh, hey!"
He looked at his father who waved him off as he wiped his eyes with a towel. He hugged his dad one more time before walking over to Yuta. The omega noticed the way the alpha's eyes focused on Jungkook's scars and tattoos. Especially the big prominent dove tattoo.
Prince could tell the alpha always wanted to ask about it but didn't want to overstep. Even after all these years, he didn't want to ruin anything.
Prince grabbed Yuta's hand and pulled him into the house.
"What're you doing up?" he asked, turning to the snow-haired 18-year-old.
"I could ask you the same thing."
Prince grinned as he opened his bedroom door and softly shut it behind them.
"Spending time with my dad."
"At six in the morning?"
Prince shrugged. "We aren't exactly your normal father-son duo."
Yuta hummed before sitting on Prince's bed. The latter pulled out his chair at his desk and faced Yuta.
"What about you? Why are you up?"
"Woke up and noticed you weren't in here."
Prince giggled.
"But actually I've been thinking about what we promised each other years ago. The day after your birthday."
Prince cocked his head to the side with his eyebrows furrowed.
"Huh?"
"About when I was 18 and you were 17."
Prince sat in thought for a while and realization crept into his mind which was quickly followed by anxiety.
I haven't even told him about anything yet.
"Oh, right. Are you going to ask me right now?"
Yuta laughed lightly. "Do you want me to?"
"No," Prince said before he could realize.
Yuta's face dropped. "Oh."
"Oh! Wait! Not no, but no. I mean like I do but not right now even though we promised right now. Okay, wait," Prince covered his face and let out a tiny scream.
He got up and walked to sit next to Yuta. He exhaled.
"I do want to finally be able to call you my boyfriend. Officially. But..."
"But?" Yuta frowned.
Prince bit his lips. "I don't know how to tell you this."
"What? Did you actually spend your first heat with somebody else when you promised me you didn't?"
Prince's eyes bucked.
"What the hell?"
"I don't know! I'm trying not to panic but I am because you look really worried about something."
Prince rolled his eyes.
"No, I genuinely stayed in my room and suffered the whole time. Well, other than Nini coming in with cold towels and water." Prince sighed before taking Yuta's hand and intertwining their fingers.
"Do you know... what a syndicate is?"
"A syndicate? Like people that have a combined common interest?"
Prince nodded. "But like an illegal syndicate."
Yuta's brow furrowed.
"Huh?"
"Okay... " Prince looked away. "I mean the mafia."
"Oh." Yuta shook Prince's hand in his grip. "What about it?"
"How do you feel about it?"
"The mafia?"
"Yeah."
"Well, I only know things from TV shows and movies. I've never really looked up anything."
"And?"
"I think they're criminals. They're some really sick people. People romanticize them but they're just like every other criminal who does those crimes just without all the money and clothes."
I knew it. Prince closed his eyes tightly.
It's not like he disagreed. He didn't. He gets it. There's nothing cute or romantic about it. People die, people suffer. He's seen it. He knows his parents are criminals. He knows his grandfather was too. Almost everyone around him has killed someone. His father and grandfather sold weapons and drugs. They could and do get out of the police's hands.
He knows. He's aware. He just wishes he didn't hear it from Yuta's mouth.
"How... how would you feel if someone you knew was in the mafia?"
Yuta turned to him with a raised eyebrow.
"What're you saying?" Yuta asked carefully.
Prince took his hand away and stood up. He kept his back to Yuta and pulled at his fingers.
"What if..." I became the leader of a mafia. "My dad was a mafia leader?"
It's silent.
"Is he?"
Prince grabbed the back of his neck and sighed.
"We're still the same people, Yuta."
"'We'? What'd you mean by 'we'?
Prince turned around and looked Yuta in the eyes. They didn't hold much emotion; he had no idea what Yuta was feeling.
"If you're serious about me and you want us to be something, I think you should know this about me. My family. If you want to give up on us you have to promise you won't tell anyone," Prince's eyes started to water as he took in Yuta's blank face.
"Prince... has your dad killed people?" Yuta whispered.
Prince felt like he could die right then and there.
"Not just random people whenever he pleases. Just people in the business exclusively. So... yes, he has."
Yuta closed his eyes and took in a long breath.
"Yet when we were kids you swore he wasn't a supervillain," Yuta chuckled lightly. "Why didn't you just keep it a secret?"
Prince wiped his eyes.
"Because when I take over after my dad, it's gonna be hard to explain why I have bandages on my body or why I was gone for so long. Or when I have to get the inevitable black dove tattoo on my back." Prince sniffled. "Or maybe it'll be different since they're combined now?" Prince whispered to himself.
"What's combined?"
Prince bit his lip.
"I can't tell you."
Yuta raised an eyebrow and stood up. "You already told me your dad runs a mafia and has killed people. You already told me you're going to take over after him. And yet this is what you can't tell me?" He stood over Prince who looked up at him, his eyes darting from eye to eye.
"Because I want to know where you stand with us."
"Prince."
"Yuta."
Yuta stared down at the omega and could tell he wouldn't budge. He slowly reached up and held Prince's face in his hands.
"Do you think so little of me? That I'd run away from this information?"
"No. I think so highly of you that I even told you instead of just pushing you away. It's only natural to run away from something like this."
Yuta sighed as his thumbs rubbed the apple of Prince's cheeks.
"Can I kiss you?"
"Do you hate me?" Prince frowned.
Yuta furrowed his eyebrows. "What? I just asked to kiss you. No, I don't hate you."
"Are you mad at me?" Prince asked with his eyebrows furrowed.
Yuta laughed and squished Prince's cheeks.
"Am I shocked and a little scared? Yes. But I'm not mad and I don't hate you. I am serious about you. But..."
Prince bit his bottom lip as he stared into Yuta's eyes hopefully.
"You have to promise me that if we get into an argument you won't kill me."
Prince frowned. "What use would that do me?"
Yuta shrugged with a laugh. "Just making sure."
Prince snapped his head away only to be caught by his waist and lifted. Prince squealed as his hands flew to brace himself on Yuta's shoulders.
"You have not changed in my eyes, Prince. Am I more afraid of your dad? Of course. But not you."
Prince laughed. "He's a sweet guy with a rough past. And present too, to be honest."
Yuta hummed before putting Prince down. "Well, with that done. Jeon Prince?"
"Mhm?" Prince blinked.
"Will you be my boyfriend?"
Prince's eyes glistened and he held Yuta's face. He leaned in and placed a soft peck on his lips.
"Absolutely."

A Few Days Later
Jimin rolled over and cuddled into his husband's chest. He inhaled his husband's scent before a frown overtook his face. He sat up and his mouth started to water.
A saliva filling your mouth kind of water. He covered his mouth, pulled Jungkook's arm off him, and tripped over himself to the bathroom. He heard a tiny voice grumble from the bedroom as he threw the toilet seat open and spilled his guts.
"Hey, hey, hey! What's going on?" Jungkook's groggy voice filled his ears as he kneeled next to Jimin.
Jimin was wheezing and gasping as he threw up.
"Daddy?" A tiny Serein stepped into the doorway, a small plush chick in his arms.
"It's okay Pup, go back to bed," Jungkook assured as he rubbed Jimin's back.
Jimin leaned back and exhaled loudly. He flushed the toilet and leaned over as Jungkook wiped his mouth with a paper towel.
"What's wrong with Nini?" Serein whimpered with big doe eyes.
"Nothing, Baby. I'm okay," Jimin smiled at the three-year-old who shifted from side to side.
Jimin stood up and rinsed his mouth with mouthwash before picking up the worried three-year-old and taking him to bed. He put him back to sleep before turning to Jungkook.
"I took my birth control, didn't I?"
"I'm pretty sure, yeah."
"We did use a condom too, didn't we?"
Jungkook nodded.
Jimin thought back to his heat a few weeks ago and wondered if maybe he just caught a bug. He slowly looked up at Jungkook.
"You need to go to the store. Now."
Jungkook looked Jimin up and down before rushing out of the room. Jimin laid back in bed and cuddled with his toddler.
"Nini?"
Jimin looked up at Prince who was poking his head out of the doorway. He adjusted his pajama bottoms and rubbed his bare chest. He shut the door behind himself as he walked over to the bed.
"Where did Dad go off to in such a rush?" Prince asked as he lay down on the other side of the sleeping tot.
"He's heading to the store."
"That fast? What's he getting?"
Jimin's quiet before looking up at his eldest son.
"How would you feel about another little sibling?"
Prince blinked. "You and Dad are, like, forty."
Jimin rolled his eyes.
"That's not what I asked."
Prince cringed and reiterated. "You're thirty-eight. Dad's forty."
"Bear," Jimin scowled.
Prince cringed harder and closed his eyes. "Ewww."
"Hey! Stop thinking about that and answer my question."
Prince sighed and relaxed in bed.
"I'd be old enough when they are born for me to be their parent. That's weird."
"You'd be a very young parent."
"I'd be just a little younger than when you had me."
Jimin folded his lips and Prince laughed softly to avoid waking up Serein.
"But it's not like I'd be completely upset about it. I'm not the parent and I'm not a lil baby like this pup," Prince pinched Serein's cheek who whined in his sleep and pulled away.
Jimin hummed.
"But I am worried about how your body's gonna take it."
Jimin snorted. "You sound like your father."
"Nini, you were hospitalized both times you were pregnant."
"Circumstance," Jimin shrugged.
"Yeah. The circumstance that you have a heart condition."
"Ugh! You and your father."
The door burst open and Jungkook stood there breathing hard with a bag in his hand.
"I panicked so I bought bottles of water and the tests. I didn't know which ones you wanted so—"
Jimin stood up, walked over to him, and snatched the bag. He charged into the bathroom and slammed the door. Jungkook exhaled through his nose and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Another one? Three years later?" Prince raised an eyebrow at his father.
"It's not like this was planned," Jungkook mumbled.
"Mhm," Prince looked his dad up and down.
The two fell into silence after a while. Prince continued to lie on the bed, Serein cuddled into his side and watched videos on his phone. Jungkook sat on the bed and thought about their lives if Jimin really was pregnant.
The door was thrown open and a bunch of little pieces of plastic hit Jungkook's chest. Jungkook looked at them as they hit the floor and then looked up at Jimin who was standing there, red in the face, hands on his hips.
"Huh?"
"Look at them!" Jimin squealed with his nose flared.
Jungkook knelt and looked at all of the tests. As he picked one up after the other the reality of the situation sunk in.
16 positive pregnancy tests. Jungkook looked up at his husband who was taking deep breaths to calm down.
"Honey—"
"How did this happen!?"
Jungkook stood up. "Honey—"
"I took my birth control! You said you wore one!"
"Yeah, but sometimes they don't work."
"BOTH AT A TIME WON'T WORK!?"
Jungkook grabbed Jimin's shoulders and ushered him back into the bathroom. He shut the door behind them and sighed.
"Maybe the condom broke."
"YOU DIDN'T FUCKING FEEL IT!?" Jimin scowled.
"You're very distracting, Babe," Jungkook shrugged.
Jimin rolled his eyes with his hands on his hips.
"It's not like we aren't ready. We're financially stable, we have support everywhere."
"Are we emotionally ready, Jungkook?"
"What'd you mean?"
"This baby wasn't planned."
"Prince wasn't planned," Jungkook cocked his head to the side.
"That's a completely different situation. Besides, you avoided any form of intimacy with me when I wanted to have Serein."
"And I clearly had every right to do so, considering you almost died."
Jimin sighed out.
"What's so different now?" Jungkook said after a moment of silence.
"I was having baby fever at that time. Prince was thirteen and didn't want to do the things he did when he was five. Serein is three. He still drinks out of a sippy cup! He still wears Pull-Ups too! How are we supposed to handle a toddler and a newborn baby, huh?" Jimin pulled at his hair and paced the bathroom floor.
"Minnie," Jungkook cooed.
Jimin stopped pacing with his back toward Jungkook. He heard him approach him before the alpha's arms came to wrap around him. He buried his nose in Jimin's neck.
"You made it through Prince's birth and Serein's birth. You're not by yourself with this baby either. I love you and I'm right here with you. If it's ever too much and I can't tell, you must tell me."
Jimin turned his head slightly to look at Jungkook who was looking right into his eyes.
"Can I be honest?"
Jungkook nodded.
"I don't know why, but I'm a little scared this time. With Prince, I had no idea and with Serein I didn't think it'd be that bad. I didn't remember the pain much from Prince with Serein. But with this one? I remember... the ache. The fear."
Jungkook squeezed Jimin tighter and kissed him from his neck up to his lips.
"Baby?"
"Mhm?" Jimin hummed against Jungkook's lips.
"Do you want to do this?"
Jimin pulled back and rubbed Jungkook's hands that sat on his stomach protectively. He smiled and kissed Jungkook.
"I want to do anything as long as you swear you'll always be there with me."
Jungkook smiled back.
"You can't get rid of me, Baby."
Jimin giggled as he turned around and wrapped his arms around Jungkook's neck.
"I love you," Jimin mumbled into Jungkook's neck.
"I love you more," Jungkook grinned cheekily.
Jimin pulled back with a pout. "Not fair."
Jungkook laughed and pecked Jimin's pout.
"I think it is. I've loved you since we met at my club."
"When I got shot?" Jimin raised an eyebrow.
"When you approached me for a night alone."
Jimin's eyes bucked.
"But you didn't even—"
"Know you?"
Jimin nodded.
"Yeah, but I found you mesmerizing. I was disappointed when I woke up alone."
Jimin blushed. "Fine. I take this as a challenge. I'll show you how much I love you."
Jungkook laughed. "Just keep having my babies and I'll let you challenge me."
Jimin moved back to pinch and twist Jungkook's nipple before walking past him to open the bathroom door.
"Honey, I was kidding!" Jungkook followed after his husband, rubbing his sore nipple on the way.

The End.
