Part 16: Spread

Note: The first part takes place in the second chapter where Lori is placed in handcuffs and dragged away. The second will be for the present. Warning: has some reference to the incident

Becky was in the crowd when she saw Lori being literally dragged to a police car. She could see the blood that stained her shirt and the angered expression on her face. Something that she never expected to see on one of her friends during this critical time in their lives. She was so shocked that she took a picture of the scene and almost posted it immediately, but stopped before uploading it.

Should she talk to one of the others about what to do with this? I mean, Lori was one of her friends and it didn't feel right to just post this online without getting some reassurance that she was doing the right thing. Which is why she was sitting in Carol's living room while Carol listened to her issues with posting that picture.

"I see so you don't know what to do with the picture." Carol said.

"Yeah. I want to post it on my socials, but it's hard to do so since this isn't an embarrassing moment, heartfelt moment or just us hanging out. This is a moment where one of our friends is being taken to jail for some reason." Becky said.

"I can see where you're coming from and why you're conflicted. This is Lori, a friend who we always hung out with and talked to everyday in school. So seeing and taking a picture of her during that incident is shocking and tragic to you." Carol said. Becky nodded and replayed every good moment with Lori in her head. It was hard to believe that Lori's temper got the best of her which caused her to do something that she probably regrets. Before she could think of the situation some more...Carol said something that snapped her out of it.

"Becky, I should really tell you about the story behind her arrest." Carol said.

"The story behind it? Didn't she just lose her temper cause of something Bobby related?" Becky said. That was a logical guess since Lori was so obsessed with her boyfriend to some cringe worthy levels. Luckily, she wasn't a full blown stalker for him or one of those Yanderes.

"I wish that were the case...the reason why all of this happened was two sister choosing the same dress." Carol said.

"What? All this happened cause of a pair of them choosing the same dress?" Becky said.

"Yes. Leni and Lori picked the same dress and got into a fight about it. Long story short, soon every sibling got involved in their quarrel which eventually lead to their brother choosing a side." Carol said.

"Wow. That's just insane." Becky said.

"It gets more insane than that, Lincoln choose to stand behind Leni which lead to Lori...stabbing him in his eye." Carol said which caused Becky to gasp.

"I can't believe that she would do that." Becky said.

"Me neither, but talking more would just distract us from your problem. Now, it's up to you to decide to post the picture, but your choice could lead you to deal with regret." Carol said.

"Cause either I ruin my friendship with Lori and post the picture for all to see or I delete the picture and live with the act that I knew some of the details and didn't act on this." Becky said. Both were tough choices, but Becky knew that she had to make a choice. Eventually she came into a decision so she started to leave Carol's house and go home...but not before posting the picture on her socials. It may turn out bad for her, but if it meant exposing Lori's true colors then she would gladly take any consequences that would come her way.

Now back at the present, Becky was laying on her bed with her phone on silent. It has been several days since she posted the picture, but the sight of seeing Lori getting arrested was still trending. Though, that didn't stop the guilt and regret that has riddled her since posting the picture. Lori is..no, was her friend and she betrayed her.

Betrayed her by showing the world her true evil nature...a nature that greatly affected their friend group. They were all dealing with the fallout of her actions, but not as much as the Santiago's and the other Louds. Shaking her head, she tried to think that Lori betrayed everyone first and purposely hid her true self.

However, part of her knew that the Lori that sat with them, gossiped with them and hung out with them was still inside of her. Though she doesn't know how that Lori ended up like this...as these thoughts kept going, a stray tear fell down her face. This was the right course of action...right?

How was the chapter? Bye 👋
