Meetings and Worries
Poseidon's point of view
"What do you propose we offer him then?" Zeus asked, deciding to hear me out.
I answered, "I propose that if he wishes to do so we allow him to take Annabeth Chase the architect of Olympus as his immortal wife."
Seconds after the words left my mouth Athena yelled, "I will not have my daughter married to a sea spawn!"
I glared at Athena for a moment before saying, "Are you blind Athena or do you just ignore how happy they are together? Will your pride not allow you to accept the fact that they are happy together? I will admit that I wasn't exactly pleased when I learned of their relationship, but due to the fact that I want what is best for my son and that I see that he is happy with your daughter I have chosen to allow them to be together.Do you not care about your daughter's happiness at all because it is quite obvious that she is happy with him."
After I finished speaking it was clear that Athena was still quite angry and for once she remained silent. Ha! I outsmarted the wisdom goddess. After this it went to a vote, and a still fuming Athena voted against it. Much to Athena's annoyance more of us voted for it than against it. After the vote Zeus said, "Hermes go summon Perseus so we can inform him of our decision." Hermes nodded and left.
Percy's Point of view
I was walking through Olympus when Hermes appeared beside me, he said, "You are needed at a council meeting." I said, "Okay but what for?"
He replied,"you'll see, and then he transported us to the throne room. He transported us there because I haven't quite got the hang of teleporting yet, so far I've been on a few unplanned trips to China. When we got there he returned to his throne while my dad conjured a smaller guest throne for me.
Once I sat down Zeus spoke, he said, "Perseus we have decided that since you weren't given a choice before we made you a god, and since you have done so much for us, we have decided that if you so wish we will allow you to take Annabeth Chase as your immortal wife."
It was pretty clear to me that not everyone agreed with this, in particular Athena looked really angry, so she was obviously against this. When Zeus acknowledged how much I had done for them he looked like he had a hard time getting the words out. In response I said, "Thank you, however I believe that it is only right that Annabeth gets a choice in this matter. When I visit camp I will ask her, I will not force her into it if she doesn't want it." I think after I said that Athena calmed slightly, but she still looked plenty mad.
Zeus said, "Very well Perseus meeting dismissed."
All the gods left except for one and she was walking toward me. When Athena reached me she said in a threatening tone, "Treat her well Perseus, if you hurt her you will feel my wrath." To make her point her spear appeared in her hand.
In response I said, "I would never even think of hurting her, there is no need to worry Lady Athena." She didn't look convinced but she left.
After that I went to another lesson with Apollo where he was trying to teach me how to teleport, I had gained control of my forms but like I said before I haven't really figured out teleporting yet.
Annabeth's point of view
When Percy had Iris messaged me it seemed like he was much the same as he had always been but I don't know he looked a bit different and his voice sounded different, but was he the same? I really don't know what to think, I was informed the other day that I would be designing his palace on Olympus and his cabin here at camp. It almost seemed wrong to call him Percy now. He isn't a demigod anymore he is a minor god. I know I still love him but unlike before I don't know if our relationship will work out.
We went through so much together but can this still work. Even if the gods are willing to make me immortal do I really want it? If I am immortal and stay with him will he remain faithful to me or will he stray like the other gods always do.
I know that his fatal flaw is loyalty and that he is now god of loyalty but still he is immortal, he will live forever and that is a long time to remain faithful to someone.
There is no guarantee that he will be faithful, he might run into some other girl and cheat with them. After all he is still new to godhood, over time he might change and become more like the other gods. I don't know what to do I still love him but could we ever work out? Not even considering that I couldn't really be with him without being immortal as well.
If we resumed our relationship without me being immortal I would eventually die whether a monster would eventually get the better of me or if I managed to survive and eventually die from natural causes. either way Percy would be left without me and once I died I would probably never see him again, and although I was worried that Percy may have changed I still knew that I didn't want to lose him. Despite all that I've done for them I can't just go up to Olympus and ask for immortality, the gods would probably refuse. I'm usually great at coming up with plans but now I don't know what to do.
