Bowling
"And so we're off to meet with this old wise man that lives in the mountains and see if he can read this note that Winston left us which he wrote in some weird code."
"Interesting."
Caneir said barely listening as Aragorn went over everything he and his fellow Ranger's had been up to recently.
"So who's winning?"
Aragorn asked turning his attention to the game of bowling that was being played.
"As of right now, Legolas. Although it looks like Varonwe is catching up."
So far Legolas had rolled perfect strikes ever since the game started, but Varonwe clearly knew what he was doing and it wouldn't be long before he beat Legolas.
Ayleen was introducing Arvanlyn to Esmerelda, who seemed more interested in her nachos than the ectual game.
"Es! It's your turn."
Legolas called.
Es grumbled as she got up and walked to the ball dispenser.
As she passed Legolas she thrust her nachos into his hands.
"Hold these for me Leggy."
She picked up a hobbit-sized ball and walked up to the lane. She swung it back, and forth, and back, and forth, and back, and forth, and threw it with all her might.
It flew up and landed with a loud bang in the middle of the lane. Then it slowly rolled into the gutter and got stuck.
"Whoops."
Es said scratching the back of her head nervously.
"I'll get it!"
Ayleen ran carefully along the side of the lane and retrieved Es' ball. She then rolled it the rest of the way down the lane and managed to get five pins knocked down for Es.
"Thanks Aylee."
Es smiled as she grabbed another ball and rolled it far more gentler than last time. It landed in the gutter.
"This game is dumb anyway."
Es retrieved her nachos and sat back down.
"You're turn Varon."
She nudged her head in Varonwe's direction.
The still hooded Ranger stood up, grabbed a ball, and without even pausing to aim or anything he let it go down the lane and bowled a strike.
Varonwe sat back down without a word while Legolas stared at him in shock.
"How are you doing that?!?!?"
Legolas shouted.
Varonwe just shrugged and pointed at him, signaling that it was the elf's turn.
Legolas grumbled as he got his ball and rolled another strike.
Es grumbled because she just wanted to eat her nachos.
"So do you know why Winston would go missing?"
Caneir asked Aragorn.
"No idea. He's always preferred being with people instead of being by himself. There has to be a reason, I just hope that it's nothing bad."
"Hmm..."
Caneir glanced over at Arvanlyn and Ayleen who were talking to each other quietly.
"I have a feeling that something is about to happen Aragorn."
The elf said turning back to him.
"I don't know whether it's good or bad, but whatever it is, it's going to happen soon."
Aragorn donned his serious Ranger faced and carefully pondered Caneir's words.
"What do you think I should do?"
"For now you should try and find your friend, in the meantime I'll keep an eye out for any strange activity. I will help you in any way that I can but remember that my first priorty is protecting the King's son."
"So you got stuck babysitting Legolas?"
Aragorn's face turned red as Caneir narrowed his eyes at him.
"That was supposed to stay in my head...."
"Right."
Caneir gestured towards the door.
"You should all probably leave now, it looks like a storm is approaching."
Aragorn looked out of the large glass windows and sure enough dark storm clouds were forming.
"Right, well thank you for your help Caneir."
Aragorn stood up and called for Ayleen, Arvanlyn, and Varonwe.
The three immediately got up and Ayleen and Arvanlyn waved goodbye to Es.
The moment they stepped outside of the bowling alley a gust of wind nearly blew them off their feet.
"Maybe we should wait the storm out."
Ayleen suggested pulling her hood up over her head.
Aragorn thought about what Caneir said and shook his head.
"No, we should probably keep going. Maybe it'll pass over us."
"Famous last words."
Arvanlyn grumbled.
"Oh come on you guys, we'll be fine! Let's go before the rain starts."
Grudgingly the others followed Aragorn.
Although in my opinion it probably would have been best if they had decided to wait out the storm.

That was some great bowling last night! We should do it more often.

What are you talking about Es? You lost every game we played, badly.
Ez_da_Cupcake
But I got all I could eat nachos. I don't care about winning or losing, I just want nachos.
»»»GreenLeaf«««
If more people valued food and cheer and song this would be a merrier world.
Ez_da_Cupcake
Aw I love that quote. Wait a minute didn't Thorin say that? Are you quoting a dwarf?
»»»GreenLeaf«««
Uh no. I completely made that up myself.
Ez_da_Cupcake
I'm telling your dad that you quote dwarves.
»»»GreenLeaf«««
DON'T YOU DARE ES!
Ez_da_Cupcake
I can't wait to see the look on his face.
»»»GreenLeaf«««
If you tell him I'll tell everyone your secret.
Ez_da_Cupcake
You wouldn't
»»»GreenLeaf«««
You're right I wouldn't
Ez_da_Cupcake
And I wouldn't tell your dad that you use dwarf quotes.

Thanks Es
Ez_da_Cupcake
By the way I'm sorry about constantly joking around about pairing you up with some random elleth. I promise that I'll never joke about it again.
»»»GreenLeaf«««
Apology accepted. And thank goodness for that! I can't stand it when you do that.
Ez_da_Cupcake
Yeah it can get tiring getting the exact same reaction from you everytime. Plus I know how you feel, people are always telling me that I need to love someone else besides food.

Well they're not wrong. It is kind of a
Ez_da_Cupcake
Are you sure that you want to finish that sentence Leggy?
»»»GreenLeaf«««
Sorry
Ez_da_Cupcake
Glad you came to your senses.
»»»GreenLeaf«««
Seriously though Es, I appreciate that you're becoming more sensitive to other people and with their feelings. Knowing that you're willingly giving up teasing me about your favorite thing to tease me about just because you realize that it upsets me is really kind of you. Thanks for being a good friend.

What are we doing on Saturday?
Ez_da_Cupcake
The Hobbit Squad and I promised to help you take care of Fabulous while your dad goes on some kind of business trip that he refuses to tell anyone about

Oh yeah. See you all then I guess.

Adios
Esmerelda couldn't believe the mess she had gotten herself into.
She's promised Elena that she'd help her win Legolas' heart, she'd promised the same thing to Ithilwen, and now she accidently promised Legolas that she would stop interfering with it all.
"I am the biggest jerk in history."
Esmerelda ripped open a bag of chocolate chips and poured them into her mouth.
Why must I be so serious about keeping my promises??? Why do I make promises that I can't keep???
Cause those are the best kinds.
Is that a HISHE reference?
Yes it is
Hehe good one
Thank you
Wait, who are you?
*nobody has disconnected from your channel*
"This chatroom is so messed up."
With that Es finished off her chocolate chips and debated on what she should do to get out of her current situation.
