The company led by Amarea reached Mirkwood pretty quick considering that the last chapter took place during most of their walking.

So thankfully for the readers they didn't have to read paragraphs and paragrahps of walking.

They navigated through the forest and finally arrived at King Thranduil's palace.

*time skip to when everyone is inside palace*

"I'm guessing that you're here to meet with the others involved in your quest Amarea."
Thranduil said sounding bored.

"Yes I am, where can I find them?"
The hobbit-wizard asked while everyone else looked around awkwardly.

"They're in that place where Lego- I mean- I hold important meetings."
Thranduil replied.
"In fact, LEGOLAS!!! GET IN HERE!!!"

*Legolas races into the throne room so fast that he doesn't notice the crowd assembled in front of him.*

In pure Legolas fashion the elf, without reducing his speed, ran right through Amarea's company without hitting anyone or causing a problem whatsoever.

He stopped right in front of his father's throne and for no apparent reason did a backflip.

"Good morning ada! Is there something you need?"
Legolas chirped happily.
"Uh Legolas? Are you alright?"
Thranduil asked nervously.

"You're not having another mid-life crisis are you?"
Caladhiel said backing up a few steps.
Legolas turned around to face her and smiled brightly.

"Nope! I'm just so happy right now! Phoenix is gone so there is no one here to prank me! I'm free!"

Thranduil groaned and rubbed his forehead with his hand.
"Legolas, could you please show them to the council room?"
"Of course! Follow me everyone!"

Legolas walked (more like "skipped") to the front of the group and led them onward.

As Ithilwen followed at a distance she couldn't help but look at the handsom elf.

(A/N I inwardly gagged when I wrote that. Don't know why I decided to share this but I did.)

Ithilwen wondered if she would get a chance to talk to him, it would be amazing if she did! But she'd have no idea what to say.

"Pssst!"
Ithilwen paused as the others walked forward.
Did someone just "pssst" her?
Ithilwen kept walking but stopped when something hit her in the shoulder.

"Hey!"
She said stooping down and picking up a discared peanut butter jar.
"Who's there?"

"No one. Just a voice in the shadows."
"I can see you standing in that shaded area."
Ithilwen said narrowing her eyes.
"No you can't."
The voice replied.

"Yeah, I can. Please come out so that I can see you."
"Eh, you're no fun."
Ithilwen's eyes widened in surprise as Es appeared.

"What are you doing here?"
Ithilwen demanded.
Es smiled and bowed with one hand behind behind her back.
"Milady, I am here to help you win the heart of the ellon of your dreams."

Ithilwen couldn't believe this.
"Are you crazy? How did you even know that I was here?"
"I have recently achieved level
2 1/2 (FWB) and I simply happen to know these things."
Es replied straightening herself.

"I also happen to just randomly appear inside Thranduil's palace from time to time just to freak him out. He loves it."

This hobbit is crazy....

"Ok, so how (not that I need it) are you going to help me with my-"
"Love drama? That's easy! I have a friend who could easily make it happen."

Es interrupted as she noticed an elf walking by eating a delicious looking cupcake and wondered if there were more nearby.

"Or I could do the interesting thing and take care of it myself."
Ithilwen wondered who this "friend" was and how they could possibly make it happen, and wondered if it was a good idea to let Esmerelda handle things.

"I appreciate the offer, but I can do this myself."
Ithilwen turned away from the hobbit and walked away.

"Fine, guess I'll just have to help Elena then."

This made Ithilwen stop in her tracks.
"Who's Elena?!?!"
She demanded storming over to Es who was coolly peeling the wrapper off of a chocolate bar.

"Oh just a guard who has been friends with Legolas for a long time, was apart of the Fellowship, developed a crush on Leggy."

"WHAT?!?!?!?"

"Is it really that surprising? It's an elleth, in the Fellowship, of course she's going to fall in love with Legolas!"

Es pulled out her phone and opened her Instagram.

"I mean, look at these elfies he posts."

Ithilwen didn't even get a chance to look at the picture before Es scrolled down revealing a not so elflike picture of Legolas.

"Now that's the Legolas I'd hang out with."
Es said putting her phone away.
"What's your point with all this Esmerelda?"
Ithilwen asked.

"My point is that you are the underdog. No one knows who you are so you have pretty much zero chance of catching Legolas' attention. Elena on the other hand, has been with him for years. I want to help you have a chance."

Ithilwen didn't no what to say. She couldn't believe that she was actually going to help-

"Of course I do like Elena, and she and Legolas would be cute together but honestly I totally ship Legriel. Maybe I should try pairing them together, ooh that would soooooooOOOOOOooooo romantic!"

"TAURIEL AND LEGOLAS?!?!?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME????"
Ithilwen grabbed Es by the shoulders and lifted her up to where she was eye level with her.

"YOU SAID THAT YOU WERE GOING TO HELP ME! NOT ELENA, NOT TAURIEL, ME!"

"Calm down Ithy. I was just being honest. Sheesh. Um, could you put me down?"

"Sorry."
Ithilwen set her gently on the floor and Es smoothed out her shirt.

"Ok, first I need a ship name for you guys."

Es thought for a moment.

"Legwin."
"LEGWIN?!?!?"
"What? I like it. You should hear the name I came up with for Elena and Legolas."
"I'd rather not."
"Leglena"
"I SAID THAT I DIDN'T WANT TO HEAR IT!!!!"

Es shrugged.
"Fine be a baby about it. I'm only trying to make everyone happy. This is going to be so fun! Which ship will everyone want the most? Will anyone even care? Or will it just be me? Who cares I'm going to enjoy myself
immensely."

Es paused for a moment and her eyes lit up.
"Maybe I'll even try to convince Leggy not to fall for either of you. I know him well enough to know that he usually can't stand this sort of thing."

"Ok can we focus on how you're going to help me with this?"
Ithilwen said getting impatient.
"Alright, watch and learn."

Es pulled out her phone again and Ithilwen peared over her shoulder.

Ithilwen tried to grab the phone but it was too late. The message had been sent.

"What have you done?"
Ithilwen moaned.
"Wait for it....
He just read it.....
Now he's replying...."

"There! I took care of
everything."
Esmerelda said putting away her phone.
"How did that take care of anything?"
Ithilwen asked.

"Trust me. I've got it all under control. You should probably head back to your group, you're going to miss out."

Her group! She had almost forgotten why she was here in the first place!

Ithilwen turned and ran down the hall and into the room where the others were. She couldn't believe it, everyone was getting up and leaving.

She had missed the meeting! How was she supposed to know why Amarea had gathered them in the first place?

"Hey Ithilwen! Where have you been?"
Caladhiel asked walking up to her.
"Sorry, I ran into someone."
Ithilwen replied.

"Well since you missed everything I'll sum it all up for you. Apparently-"

"OK PEOPLE TIME TO MOVE OUT!"
Amarea shouted leading the company (that now consisted of fourteen members and the rest will be revealed in a future chapter) out of the council room and through the palace.

Ithilwen sighed as she followed the company. She was about to go on an adventure, and she still didn't know what it was about!

How frustrating.
