Chapter 5
After speaking with Arwen I changed out of the horrid dress and put on my hunting clothes. I grabbed my bow and arrows and put them on my back. I went to the stables and took Amrod out of his stall. He looked at me with a guilty look on his face and whinnied.
"Shh...I forgive you," I cooed.
Amrod relaxed and rubbed his nose against my cheek. I jumped onto his back and he started to trot. I pulled out my bow and strung an arrow in it. Amrod trotted to the archery field, where I set up targets. I released the first arrow. It the center of the target. I kept firing arrows- all hitting the center of each target, until there was one target left. The one I had hung off the the balcony overlooking the field. I strung another arrow, when Amrod was about twenty feet from the balcony I carefully stood up on his back and I leapt off shooting the arrow into the center of the target. I landed in a crouching position, putting my hand on the ground to balance myself.
I noticed I had landed in front of someone, I looked up to see an elf. His blond hair framed his face, making it look like his face was glowing. He smiled kindly at me, his blue eyes twinkling. I knew I was staring, but his eyes were rather beautiful.
~Legolas' POV~
I was walking to the archery field when an elleth landed in front of me. She looked up at me and her dark brown eyes met mine. Our gazes locked, and after a while she broke free of my gaze. It was almost as if she was lost in my eyes.
I held out my hand to help her up, but she pushed it away. "I don't need your help,"
I frowned. That was odd, coming from an elleth.
She stood up and whistled. A black stallion trotted up to her and she ran her hands through his silky mane.
"What is your name?" I asked out of politeness.
"What is yours?" She replied.
I sighed. "Prince Legolas of Mirkwood,"
"Ah, I might have heard your name somewhere before," She said with a smirk on her face.
I huffed at her cockiness. She obviously wasn't common folk.
"Well, what is your name,?" I asked.
"Linwë," She said.
I gave her a puzzled look. "Linwë, that is it?"
She rolled her eyes. "There is more to my name, but why should I tell you?"
"Maybe because I am a prince, and you are a common Elf." I snapped, my patience dwindling.
She looked at me as if I offended her.
"Me? A common Elf? Where do you get that ridiculous notion?" She asked.
"Well, would you please just tell me your name?"
"I can, if I want to," She said haughtily.
"Well, I think you'd die of suspense I refrained from telling you."
I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
"I am Linwë, Lady of Rivendell," She said softly.
My eyes widened a bit at this. She slightly raised her hand towards me, and I took it. I bent over and kissed her delicate hand. I looked up at her and she was blushing. I released her hand and she turned her face to her horse.
"It is an honor to meet you, My Lady," I said.
At this she blushed even more. She glanced at me and then she pulled herself onto her horse and rode away.

I hope you liked that chapter! Should I continue with Legolas' pov in future chapters or stick with Linwë's?
