1 - DAYS GONE BY

The days blew by like a strong and powerful wind, and soon the start of another school year came around for Henry Mills and many other residential children that live in Storybrooke, Maine. Autumn had begun, and with it, the leaves changed colours and the temperatures dropped. But one thing did not change. That being the anxious feeling of not knowing when Hyde was going to stir unwanted trouble in their town. His town.

Thanks to Gold and him handing the deed to Storybrooke over to their newest threat, there was always a feeling in the bit of their stomachs as they wondered if today was the day Hyde was going to strike. Or if he were going to begin making changes on the town that weren't even necessary.

Emma Swan often found her days being occupied with her father David. Together, as equal Sheriff's, they patrolled the town for trouble, the father-daughter duo just waiting for the day Hyde would cause some so they could put an end to the anxiety everyone feels, whether they admit they feel it or not. With Emma gone, this ultimately left Killian to assist Belle at the library with her research so he wasn't, as he put it, 'dying of boredom'.

Many were thrilled when Emma and Killian finally moved into the house Henry and Teresa helped Killian find while Emma was trapped within the darkness. Teresa was glad Emma had finally moved passed her dark days that still seem to haunt her, for Emma deserved to finally live with the man she loves.

No longer was the Blanchard loft stuffed full of many people. Instead Snow and David decided it was time to get a larger home for their family, so the loft eas put up for rent. This allowed Teresa to hand over her room key to Granny and move in with them, after many pleas from Snow of course, who insisted she live beneath their roof. With Teresa in their home, she was able to help out with meals and taking care of Baby Neal. Some days, she was even able to catch them fresh kills from her hunt and cook them up just like Snow remembered she used to.

Having two mothers didn't prove at all difficult with the living arrangements. Four days of the week Henry found himself sleeping at his home with his adoptive mother, and when the weekend rolled around, Henry packed a bag and slept in his room at Emma and Killian's house. He quite enjoyed it, as it allowed him to not have to choose one home over and break one of his mothers hearts.

During the time that which Henry was at school with Snow teaching, and David patrolling the town with Emma, this left Teresa alone. She spent her mornings with baby Neal, whether it be playing with a variety of his toys, feeding him, changing him, or even taking him on a walk through town where they would occasionally stop to swing in the park or have lunch at Granny's. She loved every moment with the small babe. He brings her much joy, and sometimes makes her think of her future with Henry and whether or not they will have children. That is, if their relationship lasts, which Teresa's knows with all her heart it will. She just hoped nothing got in the way, given the threats Storybrooke likes to throw their way.

Killian Jones wasn't the only one to get himself a job. Teresa was able to gain a part time position at Granny's four days out of the week. She worked until two and was able to get out of work just as seven o'clock rolled around.

On the weekends, she usually found herself spending time with Henry and Violet. Henry, Violet even, would spare some of their allowance, and Teresa a small sum of her paycheck from Granny, to play at the arcade. Henry had taught them all they needed to know and now both teenagers born in the Enchanted Forest were doing quite well adapting to video games. Teresa wasn't as good as Violet and often lost, which meant she was usually the one to have to pay for their pizza and milkshakes that eveninh. Not that she minded, since if was mainly for fun. However she does intends to get better.

On this particular afternoon, Henry found unable to stop thinking of her. His girlfriend. Even as he sat in his classroom waiting for the final bell to ring, he could only think of her. It seemed their bond was growing stronger with each passing day, not that he minded. However, their relationship still moved at leisurely pace, neither one of them wishing to take an unnecessary step forward that could possibly harm their bond. Both of them knew it was highly unlikely they would one day part from each other given their prophecy being one of the first written by Merlin himself, but they were no fools. They knew that in some cases soulmates don't always come together in the way they are meant to. They weren't going to jeopardize anything.

When the bell finally rang, Henry grinned in relief and jumped up from his desk. He slammed his book shut and stacked them in arms before making his way towards the exit. After school, he often found himself sitting at Granny's and doing his studies as he drank a cup or cocoa made by his favourite waitress and girlfriend, Teresa Holmes.

He placed his books in his locker and only grabbed the ones necessary for his given homework before he left the school property and headed in the direction of Granny's Diner.

On his way there, he asked Violet if she wanted to hang out on the weekend with him and Teresa. Of course the brunette agreed for them to hit the arcade on Saturday night. He also passed Archie and gave Pongo a pat on the head and the human-turned-cricket a friendly wave as he continued walking his spotted dog.

The bell rang above the door as he opened it. His eyes instantly roamed the busy food establishment and when they landed on her, he smiled.

With her white-blonde hair that flowed down her shoulders, her white shirt, red shorts and the pot of coffee in her hands, he never thought she looked more beautiful. He was glad she didn't take after Ruby used to and cut her uniform to a shorter length. No, she left it as is so no one would╶ or a least he hoped they wouldn't╶ stare at her body as they once did Ruby.

Upon hearing the bell, Teresa had looked up and the polite grin she was wearing as she spoke to her customer turned into a wide grin at the sight of him. He found himself smiling back just as wide before he wandered over towards one of the only empty booths left. He tossed his backpack beside him and began pulling out his homework.

In no time, a cup of steaming cocoa was being slid across the table, right next to the homework he had spread out before him. "One cocoa, extra cinnamon. Just the way you like it."

He smiled as his eyes wandered up to meet hers. "Thanks."

"You want to order anything?" She asked.

Henry shook his head. "Not today." Before she left to continue her work, he quickly asked, "Do you have any plans tonight?"

"It's Friday," Teresa smirked. "I have nothing planned."

"Movie night?" He asked with hopeful eyes.

"Continuing our marathon, I presume?" She asked, receiving a nod in response. "Alright, what time?"

"Eight?"

Teresa nodded before leaving him to do his studying as she got back to work. On ocassion, their eyes would meet as she worked and he scribbled down his notes, and quick smiles would be shared. It was quick shared glances and smiles like that, that made Teresa's heart flutter in a way she never thought possible.

When seven o'clock rolled around, Teresa was relieved to finally be free from pouring coffee and serving the dinner rush hour. Although she did get to serve Belle and chat with her for a short moment, she was still glad to sweep the floor and leave.

As she walked through the front door of her home, she could smell the delicious aromas of food being cooked. She assumed by David, since he liked to had spices and flavoring more often than Snow. Entering the kitchen, she herself to be right in the matter.

David was stirring a pot on the stove as Snow bounced baby Neal on her hip and was setting the table for the three of them. She untied her apron from around her waist and and kicked off her shoes before greeting them.

"Oh just in time," Snow beamed. "David made pasta."

Teresa stomach growled at the mention of David's infamous pasta. The man knew how to cook, that is obvious, but pasta had to be her favourite dish of his. If he were to work at Granny's he would make a hell of a lot more money for the diner and themselves. But he has insisted that he only cooks for his family.

In no time, David had a pot of pasta, a basket of steaming hot garlic bread and a finely arranged salad place in the center of the table. To the eye they looked like a perfect little family, as Teresa, despite her white-blonde locks she inherited from her mother, could easily be their child. She had cheeks similair to Snow and blue eyes much like David. Then Neal, the gurgling baby that was seated next to Snow and was playing with his baby spoon as he tried to scoop some of his food into his mouth.

Teresa hummed in delight as she chewed her food. "I'll say it again because it's true," she began, licking her lips clean of the lingering garlic sauce. "This has to be the best thing I've ever eaten."

David chuckles lightly as he reaches for his glass of water. "Thank you."

"So, you have plans this evening?" Snow asks, her eyes on the teenage seated across from her.

Teresa's eyes widened and she looked to the clock. After seeing that it was fifteen minutes until eight, she reached for her napkin. "Damn it. I'm supposed to meet Henry at eight."

Snow grinned. "Oh, is he finally taking you on a date?" She asks with excited eyes.

Teresa gave her friend a weird look. "What're you talking about, Snow? We've been on plenty of dates."

"The two of you hanging out with Violet and a movie night at home is hardly a date," Snow tells her.

Teresa crossed her arms defiantly. "Oh c'mon, movie night is totally a date."

"Not when it was something you did before the relationship began," Snow states matter-of-factly. "When are you two ever going on you first real date?"

"Snow," David says, "don't pressure them. They'll go out on their first date eventually. Maybe Henry's too nervous to ask considering what happened last time."

Teresa frowns at the mention of Camelot and what could have been their first date, but quickly pushes the thoughts away. It was in the past and she was over it now. But she began to wonder, was that truly why Henry wouldn't ask her out for anything but movie night on a couch?

"I better go before he starts the movie without me," Teresa says as she gathers her jacket, knowing that since it was Autum the temperatures during sundown were cooler than usual without the sun beating down on them.

As she pulls on her jacket and shoes, she glances behind her and to the kitchen. "See you guys, later!"
