Chapter 34: The New Chat Noir

DAY FOUR; BET #2: The New Chat Noir!

Ladybug grunted in frustration as she dodged yet another attack from the Akumatized citizen. The boy was young and had a hatred for Adrien Agreste--claiming that his crush was in love with the model. Ladybug fought the urge to roll her eyes when the akumatized victim began to boast about his victory.

The item was the a sticky hand toy that was wrapped around their waist. His hands were stretchable and stuck to anything it touched.

The first victim being Adrien Agreste.

Her nose scrunched in anger as she growled behind the wall she was hiding in. Before she could jump out into the open, a flash of black and green landed beside her, thinking it was the Akuma--she lashed out with her yo-yo and went to attack the figure only for the man to grab her wrist with his left hand.

Ladybug's eyes finally focused and found a tall boy with a morphed version of Chat Noir's suit and mask with green highlights. His full green irises and light green sclera, he wore a smug smirk and his hair was messy with the black leather cat ears in his (h/c)-colored wavy strands. His bangs were pushed back in a more formal messy style.

Ladybug squinted at the boy, his costume was cropped to stop right about his stomach and the sleeves were gone but the gloves had stayed.

"You...You aren't my Chat Noir..." Ladybug scowled.

The new Cat Noir smirked widely and let go of the girl's wrist and patted her head, turning towards the Akuma and standing up in the open.

The black-haired teen gaped at the (h/c)-haired vigilante winked, "Chat Noir is taking..a Vacation, a short one, I promise," he hummed out, stretching his arms above his head. "I'm filling in for his place," the boy snorted at the mildly confused expression stretching over Ladybug's masked face.

"I'm a close friend of Chat's, so no need to worry," the mysterious hero smirked once more, taking out his baton and extending it out, letting the metal shoot down to the brick walkway below him, he turned to look at the girl with a grin and another wink.

"See you there, Bugaboo!" he teases--before launching off with the help of his baton toward the Akuma.

Ladybug rolled her eyes, she didn't trust this new Chat Noir, but if he was just using this opportunity to actually save Adrien--she had to trust him.

(M/n) leaped through the rooftops, handing in a tree and laying down on the thick branch, right across from the Akumatized villain. "Help, Help! A kitty is stuck in a tree~," (M/n) purred, smirking at the agitated expression on the face of the Akuma. Nothing more than pissing off someone who was already pissed off in the first place.

"Chat Noir! Give me your miraculous!!" the Akuma screeched, the stick substance of the elastic hand shooting toward him rapidly approaching the cat-themed hero. The New Chat Noir let the hand grab ahold of the branch that he was on, wrapping his arms and legs around it as it was brought back to the akuma.

(M/n)'s head peeked out from on side of the branch, a victorious grin stretching across his face, "You save me!" he teased, cooing his voice, his nose scrunched before he rushed forward, his hand extended as his claws caught ahold of the slightly sticky surface of the elastic hand.

Before Ladybug could warn him, (M/n) interrupted her.

"Catacly---"

"Can't have you doing that!" the akuma stopped the teen, making the (h/c)-haired seventeen-year-old look at him confused until he noticed the bus heading right towards him from the sticky hand he was stuck too.

Without him noticing, the Akumatized citizen, Elastic Band, had curved the end of the hand, stretching it out and grabbing a nearby abandoned bus and launched it at the unsuspecting hero.

(M/n)'s eyes grew wide as his black leather ears and tail drooped, lips parting--his voice surprised him more as he hopped down from the sticky arm in one swoop, using his cataclysm and touching the arm band and bus together with a war-cry.

His energy immediately left him and the strength in his straining arms was beginning to vary as he pushing harder through the bus with the help of Ladybug distracting the villain from Adrien who was still in the villain's grasp. When the bus was finally destroyed, the sticky arm was gone with it and the Akuma yelled out in frustration, having nothing else to defend himself with.

With a fateful thought crossing his mind, (M/n) pushed through his exhaustion, jumping through the small gap between ladybug's yo-yo and grabbed ahold of Adrien with his free hand before using the other to destroy the hand holding him.

Adrien held onto (M/n)'s bare shoulders tightly wrapping his arms around the boy as the taller teen scooped the boy up from the fleeting dust.

"I'll get Adrien to safety, you can handle it from here!" (M/n) called out to the black-haired girl, while the girl nodded, (M/n) hopped up into the air, landing almost harshly on one of the rooftops and grunting in displeasure of the strain blossoming in his feet up to his knees.

He groaned through the pressure but continued to run to his house, once he got to the second floor, he opened a window through his father's office. The room was more open now. The Piano stayed in the corner but the bookshelves had moved to rest against the wall with the window.

There was some additional plants and the desk was replaced with a more darker-shade of spruce.

Adrien slipped from (M/n)'s grasp, alerting the (h/c)-haired teen as he gripped the golden-blond's waist to support him. They stood in a brisk silence before the taller teen of the two had broke it, he adverted his gaze and gulped quietly. His hands gently moved away from the model's waist.

Adrien fought the urge to wince but smiled back, "You look good as Chat Noir," the blond whispered, his voice cracking a little. A hot blush ran up (M/n)'s spine and settled on his neck and hidden ear lobes.

Adrien never had to try and make him blush--or feel flustered. It wasn't as though he tried to fight against the feeling either.

The ring beeped three times, alerting the New Chat Noir that he was gonna switch back soon, he turned to look at the blond with a curt grin as he rubbed his left arm absent mindlessly. He didn't want this feeling to stop, he wanted this to last.

Being able to use his left arm like it was nothing, like it was everything.

His contradicting thoughts were interrupted by the ring beeping again and with a bright green flash that took away the soreness in his body and brought it pain instead, the sore feeling in his left arm burned but he ignored it. Waiting for it to numb.

He hated this feeling even more now.

The thought--dream of being able to move his left arm like it was light as a feather.

He hated the feeling of it being ripped away from his hands.

Plagg zipped over to (M/n) and hugged his chin, "WOW KID!! You're amazing! I feel so refreshed---" Plagg's voice was tuned out in a mere second of (M/n) locking eyes with the ground as he fought back the urge to cry.

He wanted to experience that high again, he yearned for that adrenaline again.

His eyes screwed shut and he sighed out deeply, clutching his left arm before opening his eyes and letting out a strained groan. He took off the ring on his finger and handed it to Adrien.

"Ladybug needs you, Adrien," (M/n) starts hoarsely, his throat felt raw from yelling, "It might not seem like it, but she cares more about you than you do think."

(M/n) was aware of the fact that he was practically sabotaging his own feelings at this point. He sniffled, harshly wiping his eyes before he knew it, Adrien brought him down for a tight hug, making the boy lean against the wall to support them as their hug cured any sort of bitter-sweetness in the tall seventeen-year-old held.

----

Marinette glanced around the Park, her eyes couldn't latch onto any signs of the new Chat Noir. His lean body made her think about her beloved brother-like friend but it couldn't have been him, this guy could move his arm around as if it were brand new toy. Plus, this guy was outgoing and sarcastic.

(M/n) was timid and a little on the shy but blunt side of the spectrum.

Marinette caught sight of something from the corner of her eye, turning around she saw the blond Chat Noir leaning against the back side of the large center fountain. The black-haired girl smiled and bounded over to the blond, "Chat Noir!" the model-disguised as the hero looked up with wide eyes.

Startled by the sudden shout of his hero name.

"Marinette," he greeted back, smiling sadly at the socially positive girl. The sixteen-year-old plopped down beside him and sighed out deeply. 'Do you know who the other Chat Noir was?' was what she was going to ask, but she held back due to the troubled expression on his face.

"What's wrong, Chat?" the black-haired girl offered a tense smile to which the boy responded with one of his own.

"I.." he hesitates, "I have a friend of mine..and he's..He's in love with two people." The blond chuckled. Frowning to himself right after.

"I want to help him, but I don't know how," Chat leaned back, stopping himself from falling into the fountain water with a small tug on the cement that he was sitting on. He pulled himself forward, bringing his knees up to his chest--resting his cheek against the side of his leg.

Marinette knew that what he was talking about--somewhat knew what he was talking about.

"He's in love with Ladybug--but he's also in love with one of his best friends." Chat groaned, standing up to his feet and pacing around. It reminded Marinette of what (M/n) did when he was overwhelmed. She did feel bad for Chat Noir, having been there for him as Marinette and Ladybug--he's grown quite found of them both.

"What does your friend want to do? Who does he like more?"

The blond stopped pacing, his heart racing along with his thoughts as they seemed to never stop bottling up in his head.

"..." Chat stayed silent, his hands reaching up to his hidden right ear.

(M/n) had said something to him in a hushed murmur, in the quiet atmosphere of his office, something that gave him an answer to (M/n)'s confession.

Marinette waited patiently, wanting to know who else Chat Noir was in love with. She and all of Paris had known of his crush on Ladybug--his undying love for her soared through the air on Valentine's Day. If Alya had known this information, than all hell would break loose.

Chat Noir whipped around to face the girl, a beaming smile on his face.

"I know what to do now!"

"Huh?"

"Thank you Marinette!!"

Chat was gone before the poor girl could say anything, her lips were parted in surprise as she was left alone in heap of cold wind brushing past her.

But...I didn't say anything helpful.
