Lucy's (POV)

This destruction... All the terror... Is being caused by a man I thought I knew.

Natsu...

I can't move. My leg is broken. Natsu threw me and it just snapped.

Here I am useless...

Gray and Erza are trying their best to calm him and I can't do a single thing.

"Natsu It's us." Erza shouted.

"Don't let E.N.D. take over." Gray spoke.

"Natsu it's me your best friend... Happy." Hapoy cried.

Natsu's eyes were blood red. Scales decorated his arms and cheeks. His hair turned red and wings sprouted from his back.

"You... Enemy... Taking what's mine!" Natsu charged Erza, Gray, and Happy.

"Natsu!!!" I screamed.

Natsu turned to look at me but something seems different. His eyes... they were fading.

Natsu walked over to me slowly his fists on fire.

"Natsu, stop this... Please." I begged.

"Took... Belongs to me." He scowled.

I made an atempt to stand. I grabbed a nearby pole from the rubble to help me stand. I limped over to Natsu and the fire on his fists burned brighted.

"What did we take?" I asked.

"Get away from him! Thats not our Natsu!" Gray spoke with a weak voice.

"No matter what... This is our Natsu. My Natsu."

"Return what yous stole!" Natsu demanded.

"What did we steal?" I asked once more.

"Mine..."

I felt weak...

Lucy?

What is that?

Lucy... Can you hear me?

Who are you?

I'm you.

Nevermind that, you need to save Natsu.

How... He doesnt even know who I am. He can't remember me.

Help him remember... He will come to.

Natsu walked twards me his scowl never leaving. My legs gave out underneath me and I fell to the ground. I started to cry... This is how it has to go.

"Remember that day... In that lively street of Hargeon?"

Natsus scowl softened.

"You saved me from that fake salamander." I chuckled.

"You brought me to Fairytail. I owe everything I have to you... So return back to me Natsu... SO I CAN REPAY MY DEBT." I screamed.

Natsu glared at me. "You lie! I've never seen you before."

I dropped my head to the ground. It's no use... I'm worthless.

"Return what has been stolen and in return I'll let you live." He spoke.

"Natsu... I'm sorry."

His face softened and his flames died down. "Why are you crying?" He asked.

"Because we need the old Natsu... And there's only one way to do that."

"What do you mean..." Gray asked still weak.

"Gray... Erza I need your help."

"What do you need?" Erza said grunting while sitting up.

"Erza you have a blade on you?" I asked.

"Lu..."

"Please... It has to be done."

Erza tossed me a blade with tears falling from her face.

Natsu looked at me and his flames grew larger. "You mean to kill me! You filth."

"You've got it all wrong. I told you we needed the old Natsu back. This is sadly how it must go..."

"Wait Lucy!!!" Erza and Gray screamed.

"Lucy?" Natsu questioned.

"Yes Natsu..."

"Luce..." He spoke.

"So you remember?"

"No... Who is Luce?" He asked his flames finally disapearing.

"Someone unimportant. Return Natsu Dragneel your family wants you." I said raising the blade.

"LUCY STOP THERE HAS TO BE ANOTHER WAY!" Erza cried.

"There isn't... I'm sorry it had to end this way. Just forget me. It'll be okay... The world didn't need a Lucy Heartfilia." Tears rained down my cheeks.

Natsu rushed toward me with a face of terror. "No!"

"I love you... Natsu."

Those were the last words I spoke... Words that took me so long to say.

Natsu's (POV)

I ran as fast as my legs would let me but I was too late. Before I could reach her I heard her speak.

"I love you... Natsu."

She barried the bade deep into her core. I caught her and pulled it out. I held her tightly.

"Why Luce..." I held her lifeless body and cried.

"It hurts doesn't it?" A familiar voice asked.

"You... You did this."

"On the contrary... Natsu you did this." Zeref remarked.

"You lie!"

"Natsu all that you have just seen hasn't happened yet... You can change it."

"You mean..."

"Lucy is still alive, wether or not she lives after that, is in your hands." Zeref smiled.

"Why did you show me this?"

"Because you needed to see that you matter to people... I know I created you but... I never wanted you to track the same path that I have. Go Natsu return to her."

I opened my eyes and I was in a bed. I felt alittle weight on my arm. I turned to look at the source and I saw the most beautiful sight. Lucy was sleeping beside me.

I must have snuck into her bed. I reached out to her and brushed away the hair that covered her face.

Her eyes fluttered open and my heart skipped a beat. She looked worried.

"Natsu what's wrong?" She asked.

"Nothing..."

"Don't lie to me I know that face." She said cutting me off.

"You can see right through me."

"Natsu... What happened?" She asked sitting up.

"I just... I had a bad dream." I replied.

"What was it about?"

"You... And you died." I said.

Lucy looked at me and smiled. "Is that all?"

"Luce please don't ever leave me." I pleaded pulling her into a bone crushing hug.

"I'm not going anywhere... I still have a book to publish... Natsu?" She called.

I didn't loosen or tighten my hold on her.

"Natsu Look at me." She spoke.

I let her go and looked at her but then looked away.

"Natsu, look into my eyes." She said.

I turned my head and our eyes locked.

"I will never leave you, okay?" She said with a serious yet gentle face.

"Thank you." I said hugging her once more.

When she pulled away from the hug thats when I pulled her face to mine. Her lips were soft. She didn't hesitate and she kissed me back.

I pulled away slightly lightheaded.

"I... I love you Luce."

"Really? I would have never thought." She chuckled.

I was confused by her joke.

"Alright since I'm up... Minus well eat an early breakfast. Could you go check on Nashi?" She asked standing up.

BELLY!!! Lucy has a big round belly.

"Your pregnant?"

"Natsu I knew you were dense but I thought because I've been pregnant before you'd naturally know what was happening." Lucy joked.

"Luce... Is..." I choked on my words.

"My own husband is asking me if... Natsu are you alright? Do you have amnesia or something?" She asked crossing her arms.

I looked at her hand and she was wearing a wedding ring. I looked at my hand and saw a wedding band as well. I looked at all the pictures on the walls and they were of me Lucy and what I assume is our daughter and our wedding.

All these memories flooded my mind and I finally understood.

"Nah I'm just messing with you." I smiled.

"Oh hahaha very funny Natsu. Don't do that you had us worried." She said rubbing her belly.

I got out of bed and stood behind her wrapping my arms around her. My hands just over hers.

"How is it in there, you two?"

"They are just being jerks to eachother. All last night the left one was kicking the right one." Lucy chuckled.

"They're boys what do you expect?"

"They aren't just any boys... They're yours so they will definetly be a handful." She said with a giggle.

"Alright I'm going to go check on Nashi."

Lucy went into the kitchen and I went to Nashi's room. I saw her sitting on her bed reading a book.

"You're up alittle early."

"Daddy!" Nashi jumped up and ran towards me.

I lifted her up into my arms and kissed her forehead.

"What are you reading?"

"A boring fairy tale... Daddy tell me the story of you and mommy that one's my favorite!" Nashi begged with puppy eyes.

"You're just like your mother with those cute wittle puppy eyes."

"She had to learn it somehow. Tell the story Natsu. You tell it better than I do." Lucy smiled holding a plate of pancakes.

"Alright..."

Nashi and I sat on the floor while Lucy sat on the bed.

"It all started one day in Hargeon when I was searching for my dad... Igneel the fire dragon king...."

I love the life I have lived. My friends my family. My Luce and My Nashi and soon my sons.

I will do all I can to protect them.

I'll live for them.
