Chapter Three 

some fucker just tried to grab me

3rd person pov

karen was dead, thats all they knew, they stood there as they stared at her dead body and then they were led out of the dance with everyone else. Rocky held noas hand as they stormed out of the dance together

"that did not just happen" noa exclaimed and rocky had to hold her breath, she had seen a dead body before but they didn't need to know that, at least not in that moment. 

"ive never seen a dead body before except online" mouse stated 

"the sound, it wasn't like in the movies. her bones" tabby started and they all froze as they turned to imogen and faran asked her the question 

"what the hell happened? what did you see?" she asked the girl 

"i don't know, i saw karen up in the rafters and she had a bucket and there was someone else, up there with her, a man in a mask. he pushed her" Imogen exclaimed and rocky shuttered 

"ive seen that guy" rocky spoke up 

"same" noa said 

"the text we all got... from A" faran spoke 

"one bully down, karen it has to be" tabby said and they all looked at each other as they stared into the others eyes 

"she didn't jump, she was murdered" imogen said and they all shuttered before they realized the time and knew that they needed to go home. so they all piled into rockys car and she drove all of them home, then she finally got to their house and she got out with imogen and tabby as they walked into the house together. They pushed the door open as they walked inside and they all separated. Rocky went to her room and she laid on her bed as she heard tabby and imogen talking in the kitchen with their mother but she didn't go down. She had seen a dead body before, it was her fault and she did it on purpose, this wasn't deja vu. It was new to her and she couldn't handle it. 

So she laid on her bed and she stared at the ceiling, she knew that the girls were talking to each other but she wanted to deal with this on her own. She changed into her pajamas and she rolled over as she shoved her head into her pillow and she let out a loud scream. She could feel her anger rising in her chest and she hated it. 

The next day was monday and they were brought into the gymnasium as they all sat together and they listened to the words that were being said to them, rocky watched as she held her sisters hand and she held imogens. She could feel someone grab her leg and she swung her leg back as she kicked whoever it was in the face 

"rox, you okay?" tabby asked her and she shook her head with a sigh and turned to her with wide eyes. 

"some fucker just tried to grab me" she exclaimed and tabbys eyes widened making the others look at them. She shook her head as the rally ended and they all left to go to the library. The group of them sat down as imogen told them that they talked about the flier that imogen had gotten 

"we don't say anything to anyone, that was the plan" noa said and they all agreed before their names were called on the announcements and they walked to the principles office as they sat down and were questioned about the video. Rocky sat down next to tabby as they held each others hand as they listened. 

"dont put this on us, we did not kill her, we did not do anything to her, im sorry sheriff but your daugheter was a bully, she was homophobic and racist and she didn't care about anyone but herself. We all got suspended for something that we didn't do free and your daughter walked off scott fucking free. Now we're gonna leave because it is your job to protect us and to make sure that we are safe, im sorry for your lose but you do not get to call us murderers and you do not get to harass us" Rocky told him as she stared into his eyes and they all left the room together, they all went home and rocky sat on the couch with tabby as they got scolded and rocky held her breathe 

"you just got out of juvie roxanne, you can not risk this, you can not ruin your life when you just got it back, now up to your room" she told the girl and rocky nodded as she went upstairs and she went to bed until the next day when she woke up, ate breakfast and went on with her day. 

They all got to school where the school paper was out and everyone was looking at them and rocky had to bite her tongue yet again. She was being blamed for something she didn't do and she hated it but she went on with her day like it was normal. It wasn't normal though, it was never going to be normal, she heard about the other girls and what happened with them. 

She felt bad but she ended the day like everything was fine and then she went to work. She got the looks from people and she hated it but she went on with work like it was normal because she had to be normal, she had to pretend to be normal because that was all she had so she went through the rest of the week without care. 

she went through monday and tuesday and wednesday and then it was thursday. the day of karens funeral, she knew that imogen had been invited and then later that day, they all met up back at rocky and tabbys house as they sat in imogens room and they talked about karens mom and how she treated her. 

"we all did this, we all had a part in it and we aren't going to let one of you take the fall for all of us" rocky stated and they all nodded before they went to bed that night and the next day, they went back to the school and sat in the room with their parents.

Principle clanton walked in and told them that the meeting had been postponed to a later date because kelly had come to him and told him that karen was up in the rafters to hurt karen and rocky couldn't help but feel more grateful for the girl. 

Finally, they all left and they went to the pizza place where their moms sat with each other and the girls sat with each other as they talked about kelly and how she had saved them. They all hoped that this was over but they knew that it probably wasn't. They all at least had each other and so the next day, they all went to karens grave together to support imogen. Rocky stood between imogen and noa as they all gave her their final statements and then they all turned around to see him,
