Chapter Eighteen

i can't lose you rox 

3rd person pov

The group of them left redemption house and headed to the creamery as they sat with her in the corner booth and tried to get her to talk but she was in shock and rocky rubbed the girls shoulder as she tried to calm her down. They tried to help her figure it out but it was clear that she thought it was her mom and there was no way to help her figure it out. They all knew that the last two were tabby and rocky and they needed to protect her. 

"imogen, you're sleeping in my room with me tonight" tabby told the girl and imogen nodded 

"everyone, remember what we learned in self defense and tabby, rocky, if you need me to be your personal bodyguard..." she told them 

"don't worry we'll call you, we'll call all y'all" Tabby said and rocky nodded her head as she looked at noa and noa smiled at the girl 

"i can't lose you rox" noa told the girl and rocky smiled at the girl as she smiled back and they smiled at each other as the others smiled at them too. They weren't even together but they were so close to it and they wanted to push them to it. 

That night they all left and went home, rocky went to her house and she laid on her bed as she tried to think about how bloody rose was going to get her. 

She thought of how she was going to fight her and she thought of what she was going to do. She needed to get air so she did and then she left her house to get some air. When she walked outside, she got a text and she looked at it to see that it was from bloody rose and she scoffed 

"lets fucking end this" rocky said and she looked where it told her to go. She lifted her head and saw that it was telling her to go to the burn site of mr webbers house and she scoffed as she walked over to the burn site and she looked around for anything. 

"where are you, you psychotic bitch?" rocky called out and she saw a paper with her name on it. She picked it up and read it. She held her breath as she stared at it 

'sometimes you hAve to burn with it' she read and she lifted her head as she looked around and she saw a thing of gasoline and a lighter. Next to it was a pile of papers and she stared at it before she nodded 

"relapsing seriously? thats what you want me to do?" she called out as she walked over, she shook her head and grabbed the can as she poured gasoline over the papers and she lit them on fire before she turned and was met with the sight of bloody rose and she scoffed 

"lets do this" she told the women and she began to fight her. the women had a knife but she fought her off and she managed to steal the knife from her hold. She stared at the knife in her hand and at the lighter in the other, she had all the power in the world to be able to beat her the way she wanted to and the way she needed to beat her. She looked back up as she turned the lighter on and she lit the wraps around bloody roses face on fire and she stared at her

"guess you burned with it, you crazy stupid son of a bitch" she told her and with that, she ran off as fast as she could not looking behind her. Not once until she got home. she slammed the front door shut and she ran up to her room as she slammed her door and slid down the door letting huffs out of her mouth aggressively 

"rox, you okay?" tabby asked and rocky stood up as she opened the door and made eye contact with her sister as she dragged her into her room and closed the door as she began to pace back and forth. She turned to her as she held up her hands that had blood covering them and she shook her head 

"no god no im not okay, she came after me. Well okay actually no, i went on a walk to clear my head and just to breathe but she sent me this text and you know me. i couldn't ignore it so i went to the location because i felt the need to and when i got there, i couldn't find her but i found this letter. I did what she told me to do and she still attacked me. She almost fucking killed me tabs, i almost died and i just... i can't die like that. I can't" she ranted and tabby sighed as she hugged the girl and held her close 

"its okay, you'll be okay. rox, you're alive, you survived" she told her and rocky nodded but she hated that she was right. Rocky wasn't ready and she needed to be ready and she needed to tell the people she loved that she loved them and so she was to do exactly that. She talked to tabby for a little bit before she left the house and went to noas. She banged on the door and noa opened it with urgency 

"rocky, whats up?whats going on?" noa asked and she stared at her as rocky walked into the house and closed the door looking noa in the eyes 

"bloody rose came after me and i almost died and i just... i love you, im in love with you noa olivar. There has not been a single time in my life where i felt like i didn't love you or need you or want you. I almost died and i realized that i couldn't die without telling you how i truly feel about you. You're everything to me and i need you to know that. Even if you push me away, even if you love someone else, i love you" she told the girl and noa had tears running down her face as she stared at rocky 

"i love you too roxanne haworthe, i love you" she stated as she grabbed the girls face and she kissed her. Rockys hand drifted up to the back of the girls neck and she pulled her closer as noas hands held rockys face and they kept each other close. 

The air swirled around them, the lights flickered but they never dimmed. The two girls kissed and held each other closer than ever because it was clear that this was it for them. They were it for each other and they always had been. 

They had each other and this was the end. it ends with them.
