Part 3
Myungsoo POV
Even though it was a bit of a hike, we decided to walk instead of taking a cab. It gave us a chance to talk and take random pictures. I was so nice being able to talk to someone about photography.
When we got to Central Park, she paused at a bench. She dug through her bag, found a memory card and placed it in her camera. Then she looked up at me and asked "You all set?"
"Huh?" I was confused.
"Are you all set? Do you have enough memory in your camera? Need another memory card? I have extras" she smiled.
"I'm good" I smiled back. I haven't had much free time to take pictures, so I still have plenty of room."
"Okay!" she threw her bag over her shoulder and grabbed her camera. Then she looked at her watch and said "We still have a few hours till sunrise, where should we go first?"
"What spot were you thinking of for sunrise?"
"The Bethesda Fountain" she replied.
I pulled out a map of Central Park I had grabbed from the hotel and said "Why don't we take this path. It's called the Mall" I said pointing to the map.
She smiled a bit "That sounds good. There are a lot of interesting things we could take pictures of on the way to the fountain."
We took our time and slowly walked while taking pictures. I couldn't help but noticed that as I was looking for the perfect shot, I would often see Phoebe on the screen. I chuckled to myself when I remembered how I would often focus on Angela whenever we all went out together.
"You okay?" she looked back at me when she noticed I had stopped.
I quickly took a picture of her and smiled "Yup!"
"What did you just take a picture of?" she eyed me warily.
"The trees" I lied. "I was hoping to get a good shot of the moonlight through the trees."
"Can I see?" she held out her hand.
"It didn't come out."
She still eyed me, but eventually gave up. We continued to walk and share stories about the pictures we had taken. We'd even show each other some of our good shots.
"Perfect!" she sighed contently as we arrived at the Bethesda Fountain. Then she looked at me and smiled "What do you think?"
I couldn't look her in the eyes, so I shied away and said "It looks good."
"Is something wrong?" she seemed a bit worried. "You're not getting tired, are you?"
"No!" I said a little too loudly. "I'm not tired at all" I blushed.
"Good" she smiled in relief. "I was worried that you might be pushing yourself too hard." She took my hand and pulled me over towards the lake. Then she finally let go of my hand and took a seat on the bench. "Looks like we still have a little bit of time" she said as she looked at her watch.
Phoebe POV
He took a seat beside me and said "Let's just rest a bit and wait for sunrise. Then we can go and get breakfast somewhere."
I smiled a bit "Okay."
We didn't have to wait that long before we started to see it getting brighter. We both got into position and took our shots.
Once the sun had fully risen, Myungsoo looked at me and said "I'm starving!"
I giggled a little and said "Okay! Let's go eat!" Then we walked to a nearby restaurant and grabbed a bite to eat.
"I really had fun today" he said as we sat drinking our coffee.
"Me too" I replied. "It was really nice to have someone to talk to about pictures."
"I wish I didn't have to leave tomorrow" he pouted.
"Why?" I was surprised.
"I want to spend more time with you" he confessed honestly.
My eyes widened and I blushed. "You shouldn't joke like that" I looked away.
"I'm not joking" he smiled. "I really liked spending time with you today. I kinda wish you could come with us."
"You know that's not possible" I smiled back at him knowing what he really meant. "You're and idol and I'm a reporter."
"That didn't stop Woohyun and Rose" he argued back and I knew that I would lose this fight. "Are you afraid of the fans?"
"No" I replied honestly. "I'm afraid of reporters."
"I guess I can understand that" he leaned back in his chair and sighed. "Sometimes I hate being in the spotlight all the time."
"Why? I thought you loved what you do?"
"I do!" he quickly sat up and replied. Then he smiled and said "I just hate how everyone tries to dig into my private life. I wish I could date someone without having everyone watching my every move."
It was my turn to lean back in my chair and sigh "I guess I can understand that."
"So, what happens now?" he asked hopefully.
"I don't know" I replied.
"Don't think of me as an idol right now" he looked me in the eyes. "Just think of me as guy who really, really likes you." He paused for a moment "Would you consider dating me?"
I couldn't help but blush "Yes."
He blushed at my reply. "Really?" he smiled widely.
"Of course!" I smiled back. "We have so much in common. Plus, I really enjoyed hanging out with you today."
"If you really feel that way, why won't you date me?"
My chest tightened. I know I shouldn't think about the fact that he is an idol, but I can't help it. "Myungsoo..."
"Can't we just try?" he sounded as though he were begging. "I know I can't stay by your side or offer you much right now, but I don't want to give up without even trying."
"Are you suggesting we have a long distance relationship?"
"Yes" he stated with certainty. "Will you please be my girlfriend?"
