Chapter 5: Give a Little Bit
Say something, say something. Don't let him get arrested. My mouth kept opening but I couldn't say anything with out my stomach hurting.
The officer pulled out his handcuffs and reached to grab Marks hand.
The restroom door opened and the manager walked back in. The cold air and overwhelming smell of grease was just way to much for me. My stomach growled and turned.
I made a load pitiful sound and my eyes started to water while I quickly turned around to the toilet. Mark jerked his hand away from the police officer and once again started rubbing my back whiled more of my stomach was tossed out.
I whimpered and Mark leaned over to my ear. "It's okay, you'll be okay. I promise your okay, nothing will happen." He started whispering in my ear. A strand of my dark brown hair fell over my face. Mark pulled it away.
After I finally finished dying, Mark pulled me towards him, his fair arm wrapped around my shoulders. The officer looked at Mark and sighed while the manager had shock written all over his face.
The officer put his cuffs back in there holster and pulled out a pad and pin. Ha, he didn't believe us about me being sick but now he has to. A grin started to spread on my face.
The manager walked away and the police officer gave Mark, who's chin was on my head, a warning. Then left the bathroom.
"You okay now?" Mark asks me. I nod while smiling at him. "You want to leave and go to my place?" He asks again. He pulls me closer to him, I rest my head on his shoulder. "Sure." I mumble.
Mark stands up and reaches for my hand to help me up. My legs feel like jello. "My stomach hurts, my legs hurt." I state in a joking manner.
Mark rolls his eyes and put his arm around my waste to keep me stable. I feel drunk and I've never drank alcohol. Is that normal? Probably not! Me and Mark walk/stumble out of the restroom. Ac-couple of people look at us strangely but I don't care, it's not like I'll see them again.
We walk out of the pizza hut and make our way to his car. Mark opens the car door and helps me in. He climbs in on his side and starts the car.
"Thank You." I say. Mark turns to look at me. Confusion obvious in his eyes but a smile was still on his face. "For what?" He states. "You were there when I was sick." I smile. Marks smile turns into a frown. "I care for you Lis, we've known each other for years. Of course I'll be with you when your down and when your sick. You are always there for me."
"I know, it's just Jessica is your girlfriend-" "Was." Mark corrects me, "- Either way I was expecting you to choose to side with her, to be with her, not me. To follow her and forget about me like everyone does and care for her, not me ." I simply say. Marks turns his head from the road to look at me. He looked annoyed. I felt guilty for some reason.
"Hell Lis, you know how much I love you!-" I flinched from how loud he was , he noticed then softened his voice and continued, "-Of course I'm gonna follow you, I knew that you were sick. I don't like the idea of you being in there alone, vulnerable."
He stopped for a second then sighed. "Jessica might of been in there, or someone else. I rather go to jail then watch these b**chy girls tear your hair out when you are in to much pain to actually do something about."
"Please know that I don't care who it is but I'll choose you, I'll always choose you. I'll choose you over my parents, I'll choose you over my friends-" We stopped at a red light, Mark took my hand that was still covered in blood, "-I'll choose you over my future-" He took his other hand off the stearing wheel and covered my hand as if it was one of the most delicate thing he has ever held.
"-I'll choose you over who ever I marry-" He turned his whole body to face me and shifted closer to me. He pulled my hand to his face and ran it down his rough but yet smooth skin. I looked into his blue eyes and he looked into my hazel/yellow ones.
"-I'll choose you over my life-" Mark whispered and kissed my hand, still not braking eye contact, "-I'll choose you always."
With that I leaned over and hugged him. "No one has ever said that to me not my mother, father not even my older brother." I said, referring to my older brother that left me and my mother right after my father died.
"Your a great friend, my only friend that cares for me. Thank you for following me that day and thank you for everything else." I say. Happy tears fill my eyes.
We hugged for what felt like forever. Finally the light turned green and we drove off. Mark turned the radio up. I started to grin when I herd the beginning lyrics to one of my favorite songs.
Oh, yeah
Alright
Here we go again
Hey hey, whoa no, da na, hey hey, yeah
I started tapping my foot and hummed along. Mark looked at me and smirked. He turned it louder almost loud enough for every body round us to hear. He started to sing along to it.
Give a little bit
Give a little bit of your love to me
Give a little bit
I'll give a little bit of my love to you
He sang along to Roger Hodgson's voice. Mark sounded great but he turned to look at me. Mark motioned for me to start singing so I did.
There's so much that we need to share
So send a smile and show you care
(Alright)
I sang and me and Mark sung the next verse together.
I'll give a little bit
I'll give a little bit of my life for you
So give a little bit
Give a little bit of your time to me
I smiled as we sang in harmony together. Mark sung the next part by himself.
See the man with the lonely eyes
Oh, take his hand, you'll be surprised
And the song continued
Oh, take it
Ah, yeah
Come along
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeahGive a little bit
Give a little bit of your love to me
I'll give a little bit of my life for you
Now's the time that we need to share
So find yourself, we're on our way back homeOh, going home
Don't you need, don't you need to feel at home
Oh yeah, we gotta sing
Oh yeah, you gotta get a feeling
Oh, yeah, come along too
Whoo! You can come along too, yeah
Come-a, come-a, come-a, come alongCha, cha, cha oh, yeah
Oh, yeah, come along too
Yeah, come along too, yeah
Sing Betty Lou
Come along too
What a long ride
Come a long way
Oh, sing it tonight
Oh, yeah
That part of the song, we sang the chorus together and other then that I let Mark sing for me. My voice is terrible. I couldn't sing to save my life.
It was perfect timing when the song ended because we pulled right into Marks driveway. "Is your mom home today or is it your father?" I asked Mark. His mother was a business person so she wasn't home much and his father was always home because he is a retired veteran like my father before mine died.
"Mom's work had her go to Nevada. She wan't be back to Indiana for another month or two." Mark explained as we got out of the car.
I felt bad for him in away but I'll never tell him because he would bring up the fact I had it worse. "We should probably clean you up so those cuts don't get more infected and the bruise doesn't get worse. Maybe take something to help get rid of your stomach sickness." Mark told me as we walked to his front door.

A/N
Hello!!! So whats true in this chapter is that Free's father was a retired veteran. I don't really have much to say right now other than a commercial I saw earlier. This kind of out of the ordinary but I'm currently to lazy to create a rant book so I'll just say it in this book, so I was watching animal planet at like four in this morning because the show I like, Rock Legends, wasn't on. So I went to my kitchen to make coffee and since I was home alone I had the volume up real load, but I heard the beginning of Motley Crue's Home Sweet Home and I'm like 'I don't remember having music on so why do I hear this.' So I just had to see what it was so I wen't back into my living room and it was a commercial. I do research on it and I found out that animal planet got into contact with every member of Motley Crue to see if they could use the song in there commercial for the puppy bowl and they said animal planet could then I found out that Vince Neil and Tommy Lee both donated over 2,000 dollars to animal planet and I was like "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww that's so sweet and cute so for the whole time writing this the word 'awwwww' was on repeat in my brain. But enough of my ranting. You know ow it goes, Vote, Comment, Follow meah!!!
