Chapter 44: Going on Tour!

One Day later:

I trailed a little-ways behind Mark out to the car, two reasons, I was tired and had been on a plane for the past couple of hours. Reason number two is I still have a billion stitches in me and moving hurts.

For some odd reason, I have mixed emotions about this tour. First off, why again do I have to go? Second off, I feel very excited but kind of worried, I guess would be the word, for it at the same time. I mean, I have no idea of what to expect other than having to watch the band play every couple nights. Hell, I don't even know where we're all going.

A little more walkin' and I just had to stop. I tried to get Mark's attention when I did come to a halt but that was to no avail. But he did, soon, turn to see me clenching my sides and breathing heavy.

"Hey Li- Oh, are you okay?" Mark started to make his way back through the people to me. "I'm fine, just need to exercise more. Walking cramp mixed with stitches and a wheezy stomach hurt." I gave a slight laugh.

I did need to exercise more. I really shouldn't feel this breathless for the little amount of walking we've done.

"Let me take that." He took the bag of my stuff I brought out of my hand. After that, he wrapped his arm around me. We started to walk again, slower.

"Sorry, I'm a little too excited to leave on this tour." Mark glanced down at me with an apologetic look and slightly red cheeks. "It's okay. I'm just smaller and a little more crippled than you, so walking ain't the easiest." I looked up at him with a smile.

He chuckled and entangled his fingers with mine on the hand opposite of him. I leaned into him and tried to speed my walking up a little more by taking longer strides to match Mark's.

A few hours went by quickly, before I knew it, we were waiting for the band so we could fly out to where I believe is somewhere New-York. That part didn't make too much sense to me, me and Mark fly out here only to fly back close to where we were originally. Okay, I admit, Indiana isn't close to New York but it's closer to their than it is to L.A. Also, I believe that the band has show's out here after New-York, that doesn't make much sense to me either. Why not just start all with doing the shows at point A rather than go to point B, than come back to point A than going to point C than coming back to point A, it just doesn't make sense. So confusing!

While we were waiting, Mark went to the restrooms, so I was left waiting outside an air-port surrounded with luggage.

"Lissa?" I voice questioned from behind me. I turned my head over to see Dave looking at me. "Oh, hey Dave." I waved casually. He came closer to me. "I'm happy you're going and all but isn't our lead singer supposed to be here with you?" Dave asked,

"Yeah, he's in the restroom." I laughed. Dave nodded walking closer to me and bending down to hug me. "Ugh." I squeaked a little to high-pitched for my liking when his grip on me got tighter. "What's wrong?" He let go of me.

"Mark didn't tell you?" I questioned. "Tell me what?" He gave me an odd look. "Well that answers that question." I mumbled. Dave just gave me an odd stare.

"This." I raised my shirt up along my hip to where he could see the stitches across my back and hip. "Oh, sh*t, that looks painful." Dave reached his hand out for my hip but stopped just before he touched the skin.

At first glance, it looks terrible because what stitches look good, none. But it's swollen and black n' blue. But after seeing how it was two days ago, I'm just about perfect compared to then.

"Hey Dave, Hey Lissa. What's going on?" Another voice came from behind Dave. It was Carmine. He glanced down at where I held my shirt up. His eyes doubled in size when he saw what was there. "Girly, hate to break it to ya, but that's not a normal skin color." Carmine was a lot braver than Dave and grazed his hand over the swollen area on my hip.

I dropped my shirt when I heard more recognizable voices, I really didn't want to show everybody. "Hey guys, you're all with Lis. Lis, I found Mick and Johnny." Mark came behind me and wrapped his arms around my shoulders.

"Why are you all staring at Lissa strangely?" Johnny questioned. "Umm... I don't know how to put it, but Lissa is turning purple and blue." Carmine explained in an exaggerating tone.

"You showed them?" Mark looked down at me. "Well, Dave hugged me fairly hard and it hurt so I showed him then Carmine came up and saw too. And now you're here but you've obviously already saw. So, yeah, basically, I showed them." I gave him a way to long answer for a simple question.

"Can someone explain this to me." Mick looked to me and Mark then Dave and Carmine. "I don't know, man, I just came over here and saw her laced up in stitches." Carmine put his hands up.

Mark looked down at me before removing his right arm from my shoulder to lift my shirt. Mick just nodded while examining what was there and Johnny had a look of pure disgust.

Mark's hand ran over the stitches until it went to my shorts, he stopped there. Johnny, again, looked ready to throw-up. "Ew, you touched that."

"I'd like to point out that all it is skin and string." I shook Mark's hand off me. He nodded in agreement, but that was a little strange. The stitches and cut are a part of me, and I don't even want to touch it. But Mark here has no problem with touching it.

"Next question, why in hell is she covered in stitches and bruising?" Dave spoke up. They all looked at Mark expectantly for an answer. Okay, he's not the one like this, why are they looking at him for an answer when it's me that has it.

"A person broke in when I was here last and stabbed Lissa a few times with a knife." He stated bluntly. "Really?" Johnny turned to look at me along with the other three band members. "Yeah." I nodded and went into slightly more detail of what happened.

They were all very apologetic after that and Johnny seemed to think that stitches and cuts are contagious because every time, I got close to him, he jumped back.

"Dude, you're not going to turn blue. Quite acting like I'm about to slaughter you." I gave Johnny a blank stare as they all started laughing.

It was soon after that, that we were all boarding a private plane, which I in all honestly though was fancy if it wasn't for the fact I had to share it with Johnny and Mick, and some other band and people with lots of money.

The time on the plane flew by quickly with close to nothing happening. We were getting close to landing, only about forty-five minutes left.

"Who wants to play truth or dare?" Johnny suddenly got up and walked over to where the rest of the band was. "What are you, in high school?" Dave looked to Johnny and rolled his eyes. "Might as well be, never graduated." Johnny retorted, causing me to laugh.

"I'll play." Mick raised his hand. "How in the world are we supposed to do anything on a plane?" Carmine nodded around to just about nothing but couches, a few people and a bar with food. "I don't know, we'll think of something." Johnny shrugged.

"I'm too old to be doing this, I'll watch?" Carmine shook his head but stared at the rest of us. Dave nodded and moved closer to the group. "Sure." Mark agreed; he was sat next to me on this sofa. A sofa on a plane just isn't right now that I think of it. I mean basically I can tell people I was on a flying couch.

All their stares turned to me. "I guess I'm in to." I sat up slightly, forcing Mark to move his arm that was around me.

We all sat closer to each other and waited for someone to start. "Okay, Mick, truth or dare?" Johnny asked. "Dare." Mick rolled his eyes. "Okay, I dare you to take your right shoe off and lick your foot." He gave Mick an innocent look.

"What the hell! I'm not doing that." Mick exclaimed looking at the rest of us for help. "You have too." Johnny boasted. "And this is the reason I don't play games that high schoolers play." Carmine laughed and gave Mick a mocking look.

"Old man." Dave mumbled. "Say that again sonny, I couldn't here you." Carmine turned to Dave with his hand to his ear. "And you say we're not mature!" Johnny threw his hands up.

"I never said I was mature, I just said I'm too old to be playing a stupid game that high schoolers play." Carmine answered. "How old are you, anyways?" Mick asked.

"39." Carmine answered. "Damn, you're older than what I thought." Dave laughed. "How do you not know his age, we're all in a band with him?" Johnny hit Micks shoulder.

"No, you got that wrong. You're not all in a band with me, you're all in my band. I started it, I'm the one who's already a popular musician, I'm the one who hired all your sorry ass's. Get that straight." Carmine kicked Johnny.

I giggled quietly under my breath; their bickering was funny. "Okay back to the game, lick your foot!" Johnny yelled in an overly dramatic voice. Strange, strange, strange blond bass player.

With a very disgusted face, Mick took his shoe off and licked his foot. I didn't know rather to gag or laugh, so I went with laughing.

"Okay Mark, your turn, truth or dare?" Mick looked to Mark. "Dare." I think that was the first thing he's said sense we've started this.

"Kiss Lissa." Wait what? Did Mick just tell Mark to kiss me? I looked over at Mark to see him glaring at Mick. "Come on Mark. You've kissed her before, do it again." Carmine said. No, no, please don't do it. "But he's my best friend, like my brother I don't want him to kiss me." I protested. Well, that's a lie.

"Yeah, I don't want to kiss her! No offence, it doesn't seem right." Mark spoke giving me a sideways glance. "No offence taken." Well, that was a blow to my heart.

I mean, I did kind of like Mark. One reason for him not to kiss me is because my emotions would explode, I'd be really embarrassed and probably act awkward but still. It'd be nice if he didn't act that disgusted to kiss me.

"You know you want to kiss her." Dave winked at me and gave Mark a smirk. I shook my head; this was a bad idea. "Yeah, I'll count to five. Just five seconds, it ain't that long." Carmine held his hand up.

Before anything else could be said, Mark turned to me and his lips came crashing down on mine. He kissed me; I couldn't help but kiss back. My eyes opened, I didn't realize they were closed, Mark was looking at me. His gaze then shifted to something behind me. I was guessing he was looking at Carmine.

Mark pulled away a gave me a slight smirk, before his cheeks went a reddish tent. Him smirking than blushing cause me to blush, my face was probably a bright red. Forget kind of like him, I think I love him, or really like him.

"Eleven seconds." Carmine counted his fingers. Johnny counted his finger's too; he had the most confused expression I've ever seen because he kept trying to count eleven but only had ten fingers to count on.

"Johnny, dude, a human only has ten fingers." Dave gave Johnny a blank stare. "Oh." Johnny's face went flat. Mick knocked Johnny over the back of his head.

"You said five seconds." Mark stared at Carmine. "Yes, I said five seconds." Carmine laced his Brooklyn accent with a posh demeanor that caused me to laugh even though I was still embarrassed. "Why didn't you do anything at five?" Mark exclaimed. Dave was just laughing at this while Mick and Johnny were still bickering over Johnny's lack of common knowledge.

"I said I'd count to five, not that I'd do anything a five. You were supposed to watch and stop then. But nope, you were too caught up with her to notice." Carmine retorted. Mark rolled his eyes, his cheeks turning an even deeper shade of red.

They all looked over at us. I was really embarrassed, can't the world like swallow me up now or like can't a plane window open and suck me out of it.

The only way it seemed that I could escape the embarrassment was hide my face in Mark's arm. He seemed very awkward for a slight second which scared me, but his arm soon lost the stiffness to it and he pulled me closer to him, which worked out because I could hide from the rest of the band better.

"Okay, not understanding this. She's embarrassed cause, he, who is her best friend, kissed her. So, shouldn't she be acting awkward not try to hide the embarrassment by hiding in his arms. Isn't that opposing the whole reason for her embarrassment." Johnny pointed out, and every time he said she or her, he'd point to me and whenever he said he, him or his he'd point to Mark, which got confusing cause his arm kept moving back and forth.

"They're friendship means that whenever one's embarrassed because of the other, they find comfort with the other. How the hell should I know why she does that, have you not noticed that Lissa is very clingy to Mark whenever we say something about them. It's how their mind works." Dave gave us an odd look.

"Quite talking like I can't here you." I snapped, still hiding in Marks arms. "And she has an attitude." Carmine added. I couldn't help but laugh at that.

"Okay next, girly, truth or dare?" Johnny asked me. "Isn't Mark supposed to ask me not you sense he just went?" I questioned. "Yeah, but that's not how this works when I play, which I think the last time I ever played this was like five years ago but now I'm bored so I'll do it again." Johnny answered while looking out to space to think.

"Okay then-" I rolled my eyes, "-Dare." I knew that I'd probably end up regretting saying dare. "Kiss Dave." Johnny pointed at Dave who sat on the other side of me.

"I quite." I put my hands up and shook my head. "I'm not that bad, am I?" Dave gave me an over-dramatic pouting look. "Yes, you are." I replied sarcastically. "Ouch." He put his hand over his heart.

"Okay I'll do it." I rolled my eyes. Quickly moving from Mark's arms, I leaned over and gave Dave a quick peck on the lips. I pulled away hurriedly, moving back into the safety of my blond friends' arms.

Everyone was laughing at the fact I actually did that and how I did it. Everyone was laughing but Mark. He had a straight face, but his eyes kept moving between Johnny and Dave. The gaze he shot them were of daggers.

Wow, he doesn't seem happy about that. When Johnny and Dave high fived, Mark looked just about ready to lose it. "You guys really find this funny?" He muttered. No one heard but Carmine, he shot Mark a knowing look. I just sat there confused.

Luckily, before anything else could progress, the pilot called for everyone to find a safe seat and buckle because we were about to land.

And that was what we all did. Me being me and still not like landing, clenched onto Mark's arm the whole time, which he always seemed to find amusing.

Before I knew it, we were on the ground getting all our stuff and going to the hotel we're staying at.

"So, this is New York?" I amazed when we got in the taxi. Carmine nodded. "Home sweet home, just wait till you see Brooklyn."

And that was it, this long tour has officially started, and I had no idea of what to expect.

A/N

For anyone reading this, I'm so sorry for the two week wait for me to update. I'm in the process of moving and my new house has no internet or wifi so updating and being on Wattpad is kinda hard. But I somehow got into the neighbors internet so for now I'm good. I'm officially done with school for to months so, expect more updates. Like I'll probably update some time in the next three or four days (maybe). Nothing in this chapter is true, also I want to make some of this true, so I've been trying to figure out when and where and the date's for this tour. So far all I got is that the band King Kobra opened and toured with KISS, Iron Maiden and Queensryche so I'm trying to figure out those date's (I feel like a detective, stupid, I know). And the song above is very hard to find and I found it, it's called You Are My Life, so I'd give it a listen to.
