Yes a new chapter people! I’m very sorry I haven’t been posting sooner but this week school work was stupid -_- To put it simple I didn’t like it. I hope this chapter makes up for it.

Natsumi’s pov

A few hours past and I was standing on top of the academy building. I was higher than Zero and Yuki were so I could see them too.

“Looks like there’s no students out here. That’s a relief.”

I stared down at Yuki and Zero. Brother just walked away from her. She watched him as he left. I wonder what’s going in her head right now. I averted my vision towards the moon.

“It’s almost time. The night will shed innocent blood very soon.”

A scent crossed the air. Someone’s bleeding, it’s close to the school grounds. I jumped down from the building I stood on and landed on the grass. Yuki was up ahead with a couple day class girls.

“Yuki!”

She looked my way and smiled.

“Hey Natsumi. I was just taking care of these girls.”

I quickly got to them and knelt down to one of the girls.

“Are you hurt?”

“Yeah….I scratched my knee.”

I saw some blood rolling down one of the girl’s leg. It doesn’t look like anything major but the smell is strong. It shouldn't be this intense. The other girl isn’t hurt though. My gaze fell on Yuki.

“Yuki let me see your hand.”

Before she could respond I grabbed her wrist. There was a small scratch on her hand. The blood was barely noticeable but I could smell it so clearly. Her blood has a fiercer aroma than the others. Possibly the most powerful I’ve ever smelt.

“I didn’t even notice that.” she said.

“Yuki, take these girls back to their dorms and then go wash your hand. Now.”

“But-”

I pulled my sword out and it collided with a hand. The person made sure not to cut himself on the blade.

“Excellent work detecting us.”

It was Akatsuki and Aido. Why can’t they just beat it. Damn, I was hoping no one would come out but I should’ve known better.

“Oh my gosh! It’s Akatsuki and Aido from the night class.” the girls cheered.

“Don’t touch any of these girls you two.” I warned.

Aido looked past me to Yuki. A hungry looked crossed his eyes. “Did you hurt yourself Yuki?” I blocked his view of her and stood in front.

“Just ignore him Yuki. Get back to the dorms with the girls. I’ll handle these guys.”

“Natsumi that’s very courageous of you, but I’m afraid we’re not here for you.”

In a split second, Aido got past me and held Yuki’s hand. He brought her hand close to his face smelling the blood. The blood red color came to his eyes and his fangs protruded.

“It’s so tempting.”

Shit! In a quick flash, I moved Yuki’s hand away from his mouth but, accidentally put my hand in front of his mouth. I couldn’t move it in time. The fangs bit down on my wrist.

“Natsumi!” Yuki yelled.

She was out of Aido’s grasp. However, Aido let go of her to grab me. I hate vampire strength. It would be so simple to kill, him but the president would probably be pissed.

In the corner of my eye, I saw the two girls had fainted. They saw the fangs.

“Aido let go of her!”

Yuki pulled out her weapon and swung it at him.

His mouth left my wrist and grabbed the rod while still being able to keep me in hold. My blood dripped from his chin. His eyes flared with anger.

“Don’t ruin my fun Yuki.”

He pushed her with such force she hit the back of a tree.

“Yuki!”

She had made a small dent on the bark. I was suddenly pushed against a tree. The collision made me gasp. One of Aido’s hands moved to the collar of my shirt. He made sure to expose my neck.

“Your blood is quite ravishing, a close resemblance to Yuki’s. I think I want more.”

I struggled as much as I could but it was useless. What can I do? His body is pressed up against mine so I can’t even move my legs. My arms were held above me in one hand and the other hand held my head in place. I felt his tongue lick my neck. The memory of my parents showed in my head. I began to shake with actual fear. This was the closest I’ve ever been to that instant. No vampire has ever gotten the better of me and now….

“Stop!” I yelled.

The struggles became wild and a look of panic was clear on my face.

“Hanabusa-“

I was surprisingly wrenched out of Aido’s hands and guarded behind Zero’s body. Anger was an understatement for what Zero was feeling. The waves of murderous intent were clear in the air.

“You bastard I’ll kill you for what you did!”

I heard Zero pull the trigger and a loud blast echoed through the forest. A strangled scream never came and I could still sense two vampires with us.

“Don’t shoot him you idiot?!”

I walked beside Zero and saw Yuki holding the gun upwards. There was a purple mark on the tree right above Aido, who was cowering in fear right now.

“I won’t let him live after what he did.”

Zero’s glare was deadly. I’m sure if he could kill Aido by just looking at him Aido would’ve combusted into ash. His hand held my shaking one. Trembles ran through my body. I have to get control of myself if I want to calm down Zero.

For the time being I pushed the fear aside and the shaking decreased. Zero turned his head my way and I squeezed his hand in assurance. I quietly composed myself and came out from behind my brother.

“Zero, as much as I want to kill the bitch you know we’ll get in trouble if the head master hears about it. I decide what to do. After all, I was the one he bit. We can’t kill him because you still need to stay here. Now shouldn’t you come out and clean this mess Kaname.”

Right after I said that, the pureblood shows up.

“Please put that bloody rose of yours away. It’s a major threat to us vampires.”

“Kaname…” Yuki mumbled.

“I’ll escort these two to the head master for their punishment.” Kaname walked over to Aido and grabbed his collar. “I’ll also erase those girl’s memories and take them with me.”

I looked back at the fainted teenagers just in time to see a night class student erasing their minds. That’s one less problem to deal with.

“Is that alright Zero?” Kaname asked.

Zero put his gun away and turned his head.

“Just get them out of here.”

“I’m sorry if this scared you Yuki.” Kaname told her.

She gave a sheepish smile.

“Oh it’s alright. Besides, it was Natsumi who was bit not me.”

“I apologize for that Natsumi.”

I gazed at Kaname for a second. I glanced at Zero and saw his hands shaking. The smell of blood in the air was strong. He needs to get out of here.

“I don’t need your apology. I can take care of myself. C’mon let’s go.”

I quickly grabbed Yuki’s hand and Zero followed. We got to a small bridge and stopped. I let go of Yuki’s hand and examined mine.

It’s still bleeding. This is a pain. Zero undid his tie and wrapped the cloth around my hand.

“I could’ve done it myself. Thanks.” I smirked.

“It’s almost daylight. I think I’m going to go take a shower. I’ll see you guys later.” Yuki started walking back to the dorms.

Once she was out of ear shot I started to talk.

“Have you calmed down yet? That forest stunk with blood.”

Zero nodded. “I’m fine. I can’t smell it anymore. Are you ok?”

The question made the incident come back to me. My hand reached for the side of the bridge for support. Ragged breaths followed afterwards. Zero was quick to act and wrapped me in his arms. I buried my head in his chest and clung to him like a toddler.

“I’m sorry I didn’t get there in time.”

He rubbed my head in a soothing way. I was so angry with myself. There was nothing I could do to stop it. If I can’t even fight off an aristocrat I won’t stand a chance against that damn pureblood. I just froze on the spot remembering the past, I can’t do that! Plus I’m prohibited from killing any of them. I’m going to have to train more and get stronger.

“Thank you brother, I really needed this.”

“I’ll always be there for you Natsumi.”

I made a deep sigh. “We should go take a shower too.”

Tonight made me realize I have much to do before I reach my goal. Zero can keep up with these vampires here while I just freeze up. I’ll have to get used to not killing vampires for a while and think of strategies that don’t involve murdering them for this school.

This school is going to be Hell.

So guys what did you think? If it wasn’t up to your expectations then I’M SO SORRY!!! I wasn’t exactly planning for her to get bitten instead but I kinda wrote it before I knew what I was doing. I promise I won’t make my story to where she’s stealing all of Yuki’s important parts. I have some good plots for her later on. See ya! J
