Natsumi’s pov

This is the place. For the past few years I’ve been in search for my long lost brother, actually both of them. I was there that fateful night. When white turned to red before my eyes. It was terror beyond belief. Now after all these years I’ve finally found a clue to one of them. So I wonder if you've changed Zero. No matter, whatever this place is I’m getting you out. I quietly went through the gates. There were separated buildings. What's up with that? Two of the buildings ended up to the bigger one. Let's go to the bigger one first. I snuck into the building without a hitch. Now start searching the rooms. It's late at night. I’m glad though. No one will suspect a girl like me at night, or at least a normal girl. Don't worry brother, I’ll save you and help you with your problem. It should've been my problem. She was going after me not you Zero. Why? Why did you do that? Now you’re cursed with the taste of blood in your mouth. No, I know you haven't turned on me yet. You’re a fighter and a Kiryu. With that combination it proves you’re still human.

But it is coming soon. I can just feel it. That's why I have to be around when it happens. So you won't hurt anyone else. Each door was empty. C'mon where are you? I was coming up to a door on the left. Voices on the other side of it made me slow down.

"You've all done very well. Not only is the school but our whole race is thankful."

What's going on? This is a school? Wait, if this is a school then why don't I just ask if there's a Zero Kiryu here? Simple. They won't think of it much if a girls looking for someone here. I smiled.

"Well it's nothing really."

I heard a boy say. They sound seventeen or eighteen year olds. I guess it's time to walk in. I went to the door and knocked. I opened the door and walked in the room. My head bowed.

"Excuse me. I’m sorry to interrupt your class but I was wondering if you could help me find someone."

I lifted my head and smiled. The whole class stared at me. They all had white uniforms on. One of them stood up and walked down to me. He had blonde spiky hair and blue eyes.

"Well I would be glad to help you."

He sniffed a little in the air.

"You have a lovely smell." I raised a brow.

I smell nice? A second later, I realized what he meant. Instantly, I pulled my sword out and swung at him. He jumped away from it.

"Vampire!"

I took a few steps back. I made glances with all of the students.

"You're all vampires. What kind of school is this?"

Surely, this can't be the school Zero is in. Unless.....unless he already turned into a vampire. No, Zero isn't like that. He would fight for it. Does that mean he's dead by now? The blonde boy who stood by me smiled. His eyes turned red and his fangs showed.

"I’m guessing you’ve met a vampire."

I didn't answer.

That night......blood cascaded the walls. Permanently staining my heart.

"She knows too much about us." Another guy said.

He stood up. His eyes were red as well. All of their eyes soon turned red. They were all ready to kill me. I don't care how many there are, I won't stop until I find Zero.

"Enough......"

All of them looked to the left of the room. In a chair, was a boy about seventeen. He had shortish black hair with brown eyes that was its regular color.

"Everyone sit down." They did as commanded.

I stared at the boy. This one's different. They all obeyed him like he was their father or something. He stood up from his chair.

"Please forgive them. We're not used to someone coming to class at night."

It suddenly hit me. I know why he's different. I clenched my fists and tightened my jaw.

"You vampires are all the same. But there is something worse than you. Something I hate more than vampires….."

I slowly reached for my shurican.

"PUREBLOODS!!!"

I threw the shurican at the guy. He didn't react, he didn't even move. Instead, ice suddenly appeared and caught it. Damn it. It was so close. Just a few more inches and it would've hit him. Ice was coming at me now. I back flipped away from it but my foot got caught. I got slammed on the floor. I saw rage on all of the students. That blonde boy stood a few feet in front of me, he was one of the angriest. I smirked.

"Aristocrats. They're the ones who have special powers, along with the purebloods. Are you the one who did the ice attack?"

I could tell the answer just by looking at him.

"Ok whatever. But.....don't just think I’m a helpless girl."

Before I could even do anything, the guy touched my arm and it immediately froze. It went all over my body. The ice stopped at the top of my shoulders.

"Now we don't have to worry about you trying something."

I can't move my body.

"Professor, perhaps you should tell the head master we have an intruder." The pureblood suggested.

The professor bowed.

"Yes master Kuran." He left soon after.

I glared at the Kuran guy.

"You think you're so powerful. Controlling people, thinking that you’re better than everyone. Well you're not! That's why I hate your kind especially. You believe you can just manipulate humans and tear families apart!!!"

My voice echoed in the room. Kuran was emotionless. I’d liked to rip that pretty little head of his off. The Kuran walked down to me. His hand went under my head and grabbed my chin. He made me look up at his face.

"What is your name?"

I sneered. "I don't have to answer to you."

He's strong. I can't turn my head.

After he realized I wouldn't tell him my name, he let go of my chin.

"Aido, keep her trapped until the guardians come. We don't need another fight in this room."

The boy who has the ice power bowed.

"Yes sir."

I growled. I didn't want to stay in this thing until someone got me. I wanted to kill that pureblood right now. But I can't move. Ugh....this is more frustrating than anything. Soon, I started to hear footsteps down the hall, along with the professor's voice.

I sighed. Finally, at least I can get up. The professor walked in with a short haired brunette. She had a black uniform on. Her eyes were brown and she was pretty short. She's probably a year older than me and yet we're the same height. She looked down at me and gasped.

"What happened?!"

She ran over and hit Aido on the head.

"Aido! Why did you use ice on her?!"

I smirked. I like this girl. She's got spunk.

Aido got a vein in his head.

"She was the one trying to attack master Kaname." Aido yelled.

She stopped yelling and turned to me. Does she like them or something? Her gaze lifted to the door.

"Zero, what's wrong?"

Just the sound of that name made a jolt go through me. Is it really him? My head slowly turned to the door and my purple eyes locked with an exact same pair of my own.

There stood my older brother, Zero.
