Eternity is not doing so well, so I'm starting a new story. I hope you enjoy! Btw, read story desc.

Katie is eating some cereal when she gets a call from Nathan, her best friend from before she could remember. She can feel heat rise to her cheeks as she answers. "Hello?" 

"Hey Katie! What's up?"

"Not much, you?"

"Same."

"Oh shoot, I gotta go. Sorry if I interrupted anything. Bye!"

"Bye Nathan."

Katie sighed and went back to eating.  She knew she liked him, but it was a mystery whether or not he felt the same. Just then, her mother entered the room with a serious expression on her face as she says, "Katie, I have to tell you something important." 

"Alright, shoot."

"How do I put this... Katie, you have a very strong power inside of you. As strong as a goddess'. It doesn't make sense how you obtained this power, or how you're still mortal, but you must learn to control it. You cannot tell anyone, unless you have your complete trust in them. We start training today."

While her mother explained this, Katie's jaw stayed dropped. She grew excited, yet scared. Scared she would one day hurt someone close to her, like Nathan. Excited she could use this to protect herself from danger. "Do you understand?" Her mom's voice spoke. She nodded, and asked if she could invite Nathan over so she could tell him, and so he could help out with training. (Lets call her mom Kathrine to make things easier on me.) Kathrine nodded and Katie dialed his number, waiting for his kind voice to answer. "Hello?"

"Nathan. Can you come over to my place? This is extremely important."

"Uh, sure. I'll be right there."

With that, he hung up. What could this be about? He wondered, then set off for Katie's house. After knocking, Katie pulled him inside, looked around outside, and stuck her head back in. "Okay, what the heck is going on?" Nathan asked, very confused at the current situation. 

"This is going to be a lot to take in..." Katie said, then explained what Kathrine had just told her. 

"So you want me to help you train, I'm guessing. But why me?" 

"Because I trust you the most with this." Nathan's face turned slightly pink and he nodded.

"When do we start?'

"Now."  Kathrine said and they walked to a large, emerald green field. There they started the lesson. Kathrine handed Katie a book, and told her to repeat some of the basic spells; Incontarnal, Revilon, etc. Soon she was  able to shoot glowing orbs out of her hands, and heal some small scrapes she had gotten earlier on. During this, Nathan helped her keep her arms straight and, every once in a while, went back to get some water.  By day two, Katie was able to summon a translucent, glowing sword out of thin air. She would spar with Kathrine, slowly increasing her agility and swordsmanship.

I hope you enjoyed, this is actually (Not including this note) 500 words long, which you don't see often on this account. I'm definitely continuing this story because I enjoy writing it. BAI PEOPLES!
