"Who am I?"
(A/N: Genesis bedroom above.)
"Take us to her old room J.A.R.V.I.S." Said Malcolm who was on my left while Thea was holding my right hand.
My metal one.
I went to move it out of her grasp but she held it firmly.
"Right away Mr Merlyn." a British automated voice said.
I gripped Thea's hand a bit tighter and felt my free hand tingling with un-expelled fire. I felt my free hand being wrapped in a warm, gloved one. I glanced down and followed the arm up to Malcolm's face. The doors opened and we walked down a hallway until we reached a door with a galaxy theme.
"Go ahead." Thea smiled at me.
I put my hand on the door knob and pushed open the door. I was instantly surrounded by the stars. The whole room was covered in blue, white, purple and black creating a calming galaxy theme. I walked further into the room and saw an indoor black spa and across from that was a queen bed and against the furthest wall was 2 in built bunks. There was a white desk and a giant mirror, which when slid across, turned into a walk in wardrobe. I was sure that by now my jaw was dropped and my eyes were wide. A bathroom door was to my right.
"You always did love space." Superman said softly.
I whirled around to them and put the biggest grin I could muster onto my face.
I was overwhelmed with emotion. Angry, because this is what I could have had if HYDRA hadn't captured me, Sad, because of all I had missed, Surprised, that they trusted me so easily and curious to look around the rest of the tower. But most of all I was happy that I was finally home. Before I could stop myself I was running towards them and I latched myself onto Oliver and buried my face in his neck.
"Thank you." I whispered. "That's okay. We'll let you get settled in and we will call get someone to take you down for dinner." he said.
I nodded and detached myself from him and the heroes walked out of the room.
"Damn. Nice digs."
"Agreed." I mumbled.
I decided that the first thing I needed to do was have a shower. I walked around the room until I found the bathroom and I stripped and turned on the water so it was warm. I hopped in and let the water run over me. It felt amazing. Back at base I was only allowed cold showers. So this was a welcomed change. I washed my hair with vanilla shampoo and conditioner and washed myself with lavender soap. All in all, I smelt great. I wasn't surprised by how much dirt and grime came off my body. I was quite dirty. I got out and wrapped a towel around my body. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and quickly looked away.
"Come on. I want to see what we look like." Ivy moaned.
I muttered and mumbled some protests but listened nonetheless. I was pleasantly surprised by what I looked like. I had long, brunette hair and green hues in the piercing blue of my eyes.
"Yuck. That was poetic." Ivy said.
I snorted a laugh and grabbed a hairbrush that was already laid out on the counter. After about 15 minutes of wrestling with my hair to get the knots out it was silky smooth. I ran my fingers through it a few times before walking out and heading to my closet. I put on a cropped grey hoodie and white sweatpants and fuzzy socks. Once I was dressed I walked out of the closet and flopped on my bed. I looked around the room and spied a black bookshelf full of books. I walked over to it and picked out a random one and read the first page. Then the next and the next and the next, until I had finished the book. I managed to read a couple of more books before there was a knock on my door and Khalil Payne walked into the room.
"Dinner is ready if you're hungry." I nodded and put my book down and followed him out of the room.
I looked down the hallway and saw Jennifer Pierce, Grace Choi, Johnny Storm and The Winter Soldier. When I saw Winter it was like something inside of me snapped. Like I was reminded of my mission. The robotic and killer part of me suddenly charged towards him and tried to punch and kick him. She was angry that he had left us. Left us at HYDRA. In the hands of those monsters. She was out for blood. But she never used her powers. She was trained to never use her powers against him unless instructed. Which she hadn't been. She knew she was fighting a battle she could not win but she was damn well going to try. Winter managed to dodge all of her attacks before managing to wrap his arms around us as we broke down against him. "YOU LEFT US!" she screamed hoarsely.
"You left us." she whispered.
"You left us." she repeated. "I know, I know." he whispered into our hair.
"And I will regret that for the rest of my life." he said.
After a couple of minutes of me being tightly held against him and trying to calm down, my stomach interrupted the comfortable silence making the people in the room laugh a little. "We should probably get you fed huh?" Grace said.
I just nodded, blushing. I took her extended hand and she led me to the dining room. The chatter that was once loud and alive was now completely and utterly silent.
"Did you know that in the course of an average lifetime, while sleeping you might eat around 70 assorted insects and 10 spiders or more?" I blurted out randomly.
Yea, I was not good with silence.
The people in the room were laughing. Not a giggle but a full out hysterically-cry-and-slap-your-knee kind of laugh. My lips twitched and I walked around the table until I sat myself in what felt like a familiar chair. The people at the table sobered up and Roy, who was on my left gestured for me to eat. I piled some food on my plate and dug in as everyone followed. I don't know where It came from but I suddenly blurted out the question that had been plaguing me since I had my first flashback.
"Who am I?"
