At my question the whole table went silent. 

"What do you mean?" Kate Kane asked, seemingly confused.

"Who was I before? Who am I? How old am I? What's my damn name?" I replied.

 "Uma." Jennifer Pierce said. 

Her sister, Anissa whacked her up the back of the head. Gamora cleared her throat before answering. 

"Your name is Genesis. You are 26 years old and you were born somewhere that we still don't know about. Nick Fury was overseeing an Operation in New Zealand when he found you in an alley. He took you in and for 8 years you lived with him and the Avengers. After Fury's mission he officially adopted you and took you to America where you have lived ever since. When you were 8 you were helping out on a simple mission and you were "killed." But seeing as you are here your death was obviously faked." she explained. 

 I slowly nodded my head in understanding. 

"How did I die? I questioned. "Bullet to the heart." Rocket said simply. 

"Where is your gym?" I asked. Tony gave me directions and I nodded, excusing myself, before pressing the button for the elevator at the end of the room.

 The doors opened and I got in before pressing the button that had 'GYM' engraved on it. When I arrived I looked around and saw a row of punching bags. Next to them was boxing gloves and tape. I took off my hoodie leaving me in a sports bra and sweatpants. I walked over and strapped the gloves on my hands and started pummelling the bag. How could HYDRA do this to me? Turn an 8 year old girl into a killing machine? What did I ever do to them? Because of them my damn soul was black. Just thinking about it made me angrier. I hit the bag harder and harder. HYDRA had done this. I hated them. I was going to kill them. They had taken my freedom and innocence. Their ultimate goal was to take humanity's freedom too. And that would always be their goal. I couldn't let that happen. You see, HYDRA was founded on the belief that humanity could not be trusted with its own freedom. What they did not realise is that if you try to take that freedom, humanity will resist. The war taught our founders much. Humanity needed to surrender its freedom willingly. After the war, S.H.I.E.L.D was founded. Arnim Zola was recruited and because of him, the new HYDRA grew, a beautiful parasite inside of S.H.I.E.L.D. For 70 years, HYDRA had been secretly feeding crisis, reaping war. And when history did not cooperate, history was changed. The Winter Soldier and I assisted in that. I assisted in taking humanities freedom. And I hated that. All humans have equal rights to freedom. I hated the fact that I helped in nearly taking that away. HYDRA corrupted me and for that they would pay. I was brought out of my thoughts by the door opening and I whirled around with my arms set on fire. I relaxed when I saw that it was just Natasha and Bucky. 

"Want to spar?" Natasha asked. I nodded and took off my gloves. 

"JARVIS play some music." Natasha told the A.I system. "Yes Miss Romanoff." (Cue song) 

"Thought I couldn't breathe without you

I'm inhaling

You thought I couldn't see without you

Perfect vision

You thought I couldn't last without you

But I'm lastin'

You thought that I would die without you

But I'm livin'"

Natasha ran at me and leapt into the air doing a backflip and extended her legs out to hit my face. I quickly dodged to the side and she landed perfectly. She ran up to me again and slid across the ground and under my legs, punching me in the boob. 

"Dude!" I yelled at her massaging the sore area. 

I charged towards her and she leapt into the air and wrapped her legs around my neck, spinning her body and legs so I landed on the ground. I quickly pulled her legs out from under her and straddled her waist, punching her in the face.

"Thought that I would fail without you

But I'm on top

Thought it would be over by now

But it won't stop

Thought that I would self destruct

But I'm still here

Even in my years to come

I'm still gon' be here"

She dodged my next attacks and quickly got up. I followed her movements and she ran up my thigh and kneed me in the face. I ran up to her and wrapped my left arm around her upper left arm and spun my body to wrap my legs around the back of her neck, flipping her to the floor.

"I'm a Survivor (What?)

I'm not gon' give up (What?)

I'm not gon' stop (What?)

I'm gon' work harder (What?)"

She ran towards me like an angry bull and tried to hit me over the head. I blocked it and grabbed her arm and quickly jerked it to the floor and brought it back up again. I spun my body so my back was pressed against her front and elbowed her in the boob. I'm petty like that. I spun back around and kicked her over the head rendering her unconscious.

3rd Person P.O.V

Unbeknown to Genesis there was a one way mirror off to the side in which all of the supers were watching through. They were impressed by how well she could hold her own against one of the best fighters known to man.

"I'm a survivor

I'm not gon' give up

I'm not gon' stop, oh

I'm gon' work harder

I'm the survivor

I'm gonna make it

I will survive

Keep on survivin'"

They all watched as Bucky charged towards her and threw a left hook. She blocked it and he was quick to try and throw a right hook. She also blocked that. She kicked him in the chest and ran up his thigh, wrapping her legs around his neck. She consistently dug her elbows into his head trying to knock him out. He put his hands on her lower back to help her keep her balance. He brought his arms around to the front of her shoulders and placed his thumbs under her armpits and his remaining four fingers went over the top of her shoulders. Bucky pushed her off and she landed on the ground with a thud. She tried to roll away but was stopped when a hand wrapped around the front of her throat but was swapped with Bucky's right arm. His left arm was wrapped around her lower stomach keeping her in place. Her back was now against his front. She wriggled but couldn't slip free. She tried to calm down as she felt her oxygen slowly depleting.

"I'm a survivor

I'm not gon' give up

I'm gon' work harder

I'm the survivor

I will survive

She threw her head back and heard a crack. He hissed in pain and his grip loosened. That was all she needed. She slipped out of his grip and sent a punch to his temple making him a bit discombobulated. He stumbled a bid before getting his bearings. She ran towards him, dodging Natasha who was still unconscious, and tried to send him a right hook. He dodged and sent a sucker punch to her stomach. Genesis wheezed a little and her chin was grabbed by his metal hand. He then flipped her onto the mat. She quickly got up though. He ran to her and tried to send a punch with his metal arm which she dodged. She sent him a right hook which hit him. Bucky swiped at her with his left arm and she dodged that too. So he kicked her in the chest sending her sprawled across the mat. She got up just as he was about to kick her stomach. He sent a left hook which she quickly deflected, however he quickly recovered and sent another punch which hit its mark. Bucky sent another kick to her chest making her stumble a bit and hit the wall behind her. He went to punch her, intending to knock her out but at the last second, dodged it causing a hole in the wall. He again went to punch her with his metal arm but she stopped it, mere inches from her chest. Genesis tried to push his arm back with her flesh hand but he thrusted it back towards her making her hand hit the wall behind her, shattering it. She grunted and felt her eyes water at the pain but carried on fighting nonetheless. She grabbed the katana on the rack next to her with her right hand causing immense pain when she slashed it at him, but having him block it with his metal arm. He also grabbed a sword. He knew he could take her down without one but she needed to get all of the anger out of her system. He ran towards her, katana raised but she blocked it with her own and as he ran past she sliced him on the back. She didn't know that Malcom Merlyn and Nyssa al Ghul were watching her from the mirror with complete and utter pride. Bucky flashed a quick grin at the people behind the mirror and walked off to the side a little. He looked at Genesis body language and saw that she was angry. And in pain. She cradled her injured hand to her chest with contempt for the offender. In this case, Bucky. She swung her katana at him and he blocked it. She attempted to swipe from down low but he blocked that too, putting his katana in front of him, acting as a shield somewhat. She swiped at his katana and spun around swinging her katana to the right narrowly missing his stomach as he jumped out of the way. She swiped up in a diagonal left, clipping his chin. Genesis tried to bring her katana down on him but he blocked it with his own. He forced her to her knees and she grabbed his blade with her injured hand, making her bleed. She flung him off her and backed up a little. Bucky swiped at her from the left with his sword and she blocked it as he swiped to the right attempting to take her head off. She ducked and blocked his elbow as he tried to hit her with it. He kicked her left leg out from under her but she swung her sword back, still on her knees. Malcom saw that Natasha was starting to come to, so he walked out of the observation room and grabbed Natasha taking her to the observation room. Bucky grabbed Genesis wrist with the katana with his right hand and with his left tried to stab her head but she moved out of the way just in time. He let go of her and kicked the katana out of her hand. She reared her right elbow into Bucky's knee making him fall to his knees. Genesis punched him in the face and taking his katana, she stood up, kicking him in the face in the process giving him another nosebleed. She picked up the other katana and twirled it a little. She got into a stance and Bucky looked around the room for the nearest weapon. He eyed a spear and grabbed it spinning it in his hands. He charged towards her and swung the spear at her head. She ducked and moved out of the way. Genesis ran towards him and swung at him with her left sword which he deflected with his spear. She spins around a few times with her katanas trying to slice him. She stopped spinning and crossed her katanas, trying to bring them down on him. Bucky sliced his spear up the middle of the katanas and as her arms flung open she dropped the one in her left hand. Genesis tried to hit him with her remaining katanas but he knocked it out of her hand. He kicked her in the chest sending her sprawled across the mat. He walked up to her and tried to stab her head but she rolled to the side before that could happen. The supers breathed a collective sigh of relief. She flung her legs out and swiped his out from under him. He quickly got up and swiped the spear at her feet. She cartwheeled out of the way and stood as he swung the spear at her. She ducked as it was swung at her again. He swiped at her stomach and then tried to stab her but she moved to the side and grabbed the spear, punching the elbow of the arm that held the spear. She swung the spear at his head but he limbo-ed before he could be decapitated. She swung at his leg and knocked his feet out from under him. Genesis kicked him in the chest making him lay on the floor. She hovered the spear above his throat and before turning away, putting the spear and katanas back into place and leaving the gym the only thing she said was "You shattered my hand."
