Tempers
"Mr Keaton! I have heard that the Queen has convinced another islander to move to our island!" A yellow ostrich exclaimed, rushing over to a dimly lit group of two other animals.
There was an eagle and a pink kangaroo, who had a joey in her pouch.
"Good work, Phoebe! I applaud your efforts," the eagle told her, a faint expression of joy crossing his features.
"I presume she has told you the new animal's name?" the kangaroo inquired.
The ostrich nodded, a faint expression of glee crossing her features as well. "But of course! Her name is Caroline!" she informed them, happy to share this information.
"What does this Caroline look like?!" Keaton thundered, shocking the ostrich for a second.
Phoebe backed away slowly before looking nervously at Keaton. "A squirrel, sir. A squirrel," she told him in a panicky fashion.
"I didn't ask for her species! I asked you what she looked like!"
"She's orange sir, with blonde hair. And... she also has big eyes and a big nose! Triangle shaped!" Phoebe stuttered out, backing into the wall.
A faint sigh of relief came from the eagle's beak. "Good, good. I do not think she is a worthy candidate for this mission!" he proclaimed. "In fact, just like that goat friend of hers, she seems like one that should be left in the dark about this whole plan. After all, she would certainly be one to share this information with our Queen!"
The kangaroo and ostrich both nodded in agreement, waiting for further directions from their boss.

"So, bawww... I understand stressing over loans. I usually forget about it to think about snacks... but I still understand. Glace, why don't you just go talk to Nook? I'm sure he can make it a little less stressful," Sherb suggested, looking at the girl who was sat next to him.
"He's not gonna fix a thing," the blonde girl huffed, glaring at her marshmallow in frustration. "Even if I do become loan free, I'm still supposed to be able to afford plots of land. And then I need to help all of you with tasks and beautify the island for the K.K. concert."
"We don't even know if he's gonna come, bawww!" Sherb said with a sigh. "Why stress over something that'll only affect the overall island experience so little? I reckon you should hone in on your loans."
She bit down on her lower lip angrily. "I try to do that! But then Isabelle tells me we need more residents! Dear God, isn't seven of you enough!" she snapped, glaring at his work bench. "He's not going to give up on that goal."
"Glace, look at me." She reluctantly looked at the goat. "It's all gonna be okay, bawww! I'll help you out! What if I do some tasks? Maybe I can donate some bells to any bridge or incline projects! And, when you are rent free... we can hang out together!" Sherb proposed, waiting to see her reaction.
She clapped her hands with delight. "Thank you, Sherb. I'm glad there's one person on this island that cares."

"So... how is our Queen? Have you seen her? Have you talked to her?" Keaton asked Phoebe.
"She is still around that goat and I can't get her separated from him. They seem to be close friends."
"Interesting. She makes a fast friend with literally anybody! I doubt this goat would be a good lead into our investigation."
"I have to respectfully disagree!" Marcie cut in, blinking her eyes enthusiastically. "She's given him multiple gifts and is hanging out with the thing more than ever. He might know something that we don't."
Keaton nodded respectfully and called off the meeting.

I caught a football fish!
Some countries call it a soccer fish!
Glace was passing the time by talking to Sherb and fishing. She honestly enjoyed spending her time with the goat, and she wouldn't spend her time any other way. She just caught a football fish and stuffed it into the pocket of her fall dress. Anyone would say that she looked pretty. She did. It suited her.
Sherb remembered that Phoebe had given the dress to his snack buddy. The ostrich quite clearly had a great sense of fashion if she thought to give the Resident Rep such a beautiful dress. He was so fixated on the fact that his snack buddy had such a good sense of fashion that he almost missed his fish.
"Sherb, are you getting that one?" she asked the goat, snapping him out of his trance.
Sherb nodded madly. "Of course, Glace!"
He heaved up his line.
I caught a sea bass!
Wait, no. It's at least a C Plus!
He sighed. Another sea bass? Glace was so good at catching fish and bugs, and so lucky too! He had seen her catch a red snapper before. Sighing, he continued fishing, grabbing a donut from his pocket whilst he casted his line. He imagined the fish that he would catch.
Hopefully it wasn't yet another sea bass. Hopefully.
I caught a zebra turkey fish!
Land, water, air... make up your mind!
This was a fish that he hadn't caught before, but one that Glace and her human family had donated to the museum. For some reason, that girl was a master at catching bugs and fish. With a sigh, he cast his line again, closing his eyes. At least he didn't get a sea bass again.
He heard the fish begin to go under and heaved up his line with all his might, revealing a red snapper on the line. For once, Sherb had caught a fish that he considered rare. He showed off his catch to Glace with a small smile on his features.
She clapped proudly at him before swapping out her fishing line for a net.
"Want to catch some bugs together?" she asked him, glancing at him through brown eyes.
The pale blue goat nodded in response. "Sure I do! You're a super cool snack buddy, bawww!"
They both rushed off to catch bugs, unaware of what was to happen in the future.
