Week 1, Night 2

It took so long, but I could finally put them back together! They could live and be together for as long as they wanted! It worked as well as I could make it work. But when I tried to give them their past, there was too much pain, so I wrapped it up and tucked it away. Now they can have a happy future...

"Surprise!"

Chica's face lit up as she unveiled her latest work: Four cupcakes with pink frosting and candy eyes. Freddy and Bonnie stood in the kitchen, staring at them. "Wow, Chica!" Freddy exclaimed, trying to hide his nervousness, "These are... really great!" Bonnie wasn't one to mince words. "This cupcake is staring at me and that's unnatural." he said with a grimace.

Chica's expression turned very sour very fast. "Okay, Bonnie. I guess I'll just take back all the hours I spent yesterday making these as a symbol of our friendship because you can't handle picking two pieces of candy out of a cupcake." Whatever creepiness that kept Bonnie from eating the cupcakes was quickly trumped by the death glare Chica was directing him. He muttered an apology and started to carefully nibble at the cupcake, Freddy following suit.

In a flash, Chica was back to her cheery self, and she looked around, puzzled. "Where's Foxy? I asked him to come to the kitchen for a surprise." Bonnie nearly choked on his cupcake. "You asked him to do something and expected him to do it?" He laughed. "I got this." said Freddy, turning towards the west side of the building, "Foxy, cupcakes!"

"cupcakes?" A distant voice was heard.

"Cupcakes?!" Impending footsteps.

"CUPCAKES!!!!" Foxy launched himself into the kitchen, knocking over countless pans, and landed face first in a cupcake. "THIS IS SO GOOD!" Foxy practically inhaled his while Freddy stood smirking, Bonnie rolled his eyes, and Chica beamed with delight.

Freddy smiled as his friends started talking, when he noticed it again. A flash of golden light disappeared down the east hall, contrasting the dimly lit rooms. Unable to ignore it any longer, Freddy strayed away from his friends to follow it, and perhaps to figure out why it made him feel so strange.

The east hall was one of the darkest places in the whole restaurant, with shadows thick enough to cut through. Freddy lit up his head in the darkness, and searched for any sign of what he had seen. Unfortunately, his light-up mode wasn't entirely reliable, and it wouldn't stop flickering. Still, he kept walking.

Then he saw it.

A poster he had never noticed before, pinned to the wall. It depicted an animatronic almost like him, but with a few noticeable differences, namely the empty, black eye sockets and a worn, yet bright, golden body. Freddy stared at it for a long moment, feeling as if he should know who this was. However, at the distant sound of his friends' voices he turned to head back, and froze.

Blocking his path was the very animatronic from the poster, falling limp and standing many times in a matter of milliseconds. Freddy cried out in surprise as the figure teleported up to his face and whispered something to his before disappearing completely. Freddy stood there in shock, then sank to his knees. A million questions swarmed in his head, he couldn't think, and he soon became aware of hands on his shoulders, shaking him.

"Freddy? Freddy are you okay? Say something, please!"

Freddy looked up at the concerned faces of his friends and found his voice. "I'm okay."

Chica and Bonnie sighed in relief as Foxy grinned. "You really gave us a scare, mate! First yer yellin' and then we find you on the ground!"

"Yeah, what happened to you?" Chica asked worriedly. Freddy looked up at the poster again, the golden face now absent and replaced with a picture of himself performing. "Freddy?" Bonnie asked with a confused look. Freddy sighed, he wouldn't lie to his friends.

"I saw someone. Another animatronic." The others looked shocked, and Bonnie was the first to speak. "What?! Who?! How is that even possible, we're the only ones here, we would've known!"

"I know." Freddy continued, "But it's true. And... he looked like me, only golden, with-"

"No eyes?" They all turned to Chica, who held a hand to her head while looking intently at Freddy. "Exactly." he said, "Do you-?"

"No, I just... feel like I know somehow. It's strange."

"More like completely nuts." Foxy muttered, "Did he say anything?"

Attention shifted back to Freddy as he scrunched up his eyebrows and nodded.

"It's me."

The second one was so bright, like a candle. I couldn't let her fade.
