Week 1, Night 1

Life is a beautiful gift. How fragile it is, how glorious. I never understood how it could be taken away. No... I just never understood why. Who could cause pain and be happy when they've made so many people so sad? I could never cheer them up, and I tried so hard. Then, I could. I could make them new! Now they can be happy again...

Shadows swept the rooms of the pizzeria as white noise filled the silence. Only the occasional flutter of children's drawings swaying on the walls could disturb the peace. The night carried on just the same until the clock displayed 12:00 a.m. in neon lights. That's when we awoke.

I smiled as I saw my friends on the stage. "Bonnie, Chica, terrific job playing today! The children were really having fun!" Chica returned a warm grin as she curtsied playfully. "Why thank you Freddy! I'm flattered." She then snorted and broke out into giggles. Bonnie looked around the dining hall with a somber expression. "Such a mess!" he exclaimed in exasperation, "Is it too much for them to clean up after themselves?" Freddy laughed, "Not when you clean it all so perfectly every night. You should really take a break." Bonnie just rolled his eyes and proceeded towards the tables to start clearing them.

Turning to Chica, I asked what she was planning to do that night. She smiled cheekily, "Oh, I have some plans, but you'll just have to wait 'til tomorrow to find out!" Chica skipped off to the kitchen and Freddy relaxed onstage. He found himself humming a tune, so he put lyrics to it.

"Playing for the children, making dreams come true

Wouldn't you want to if you could do it, too

Alongside my friends, not a care to lose

I am Freddy Fazbear, and I love what I do"

Freddy silently laughed at how terrible those lyrics were. 'Definitely not my best work.' he thought. Suddenly, he saw a bright flash of gold out of the corner of his eye. It went by so quickly, it was impossible to determine what it was, or even if it existed. Freddy knew that no one but Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy were around the pizzeria, so it must have been some trick of the light. Still, everything seemed very strange for a moment, almost out of place.

Meanwhile, Bonnie was tidying up all thirty party tables with almost alarming precision. Bonnie found every speck that was out of place and corrected it. He was so wrapped up in his routine that he didn't notice when someone crept up behind him. One ear-piercing roar later and Bonnie was on the floor hyperventilating with Foxy standing over him, howling with laughter.

As soon as Bonnie got a grip on the situation, he was absolutely seething. "FOXY YOU JERK YOU KNOW I CAN'T HANDLE YOUR DUMB PRANKS WIPE THAT SMIRK OFF YOUR FACE YOU-" Foxy was rolling on the floor by this point. "I had to! It *snicker* it was too perfect!" Bonnie, now a deep shade of purple, started to storm off when Foxy grabbed his arm. "Oh c'mon, Bonnie, it's a joke! You should flattered I spend so much creative energy on you." he said. smirking. Bonnie practically choked.

"You, spending energy? Come talk to me about energy when you help me clean up the dining hall."

"I think I'll stick around Pirate's Cove, much less work, much more fun!"

Foxy started to head there, then turned around with a sappy expression on his face. "Glad to know I'm the only one who you've ever asked to help you, Bonnie Boy!" Bonnie's face was getting very warm. "Sh- shut up!"

"Ooo sick burn! Better stop, drop, and roll." Foxy did just that, resuming his fit of laughter as Bonnie stalked away.

The night drew to a close, and all the animatronics returned to their places. Freddy was ready to perform a song he wrote that night, since making children smile was what felt right to him, like he was made for them. Still, he couldn't forget that flash of gold so soon. 'Oh well.' he thought as the clocked displayed 5:59 a.m., 'It doesn't matter, my friends are here.' Little did he know, a figure watched from afar.

"Did he see me? No, he couldn't, he can't. He doesn't know..."

The first one was special, I always knew. He had such a good heart, I couldn't waste it.
