4 - Swap!
Kakashi sighed. What a troublesome team. A hopeless fangirl, a brooding bloodthirsty boy and a delusional one who wants to enslave the whole world. His whole team was full of the weirdest genin you'd never be able to find anywhere. So troublesome. So much he was starting to sound like Shikaku-san.
He thought back to his interaction with the blonde boy Naruto. Perhaps it was because the villagers treated him so poorly, now he's ended up in a bad mental state like this. He should've known earlier, poor kid. He always seemed pretty cheerful, though.
"Alright, thank you for all your introductions. You three are.....quite interesting," Kakashi commented, unsure of what to describe them as. He would've went with weird, but honestly he was too tired for anything else right now. "You can go home, but can you stay for a bit, Naruto?"
Naruto nodded cheerfully as his two other teammates stood up, ready to leave. They were both shocked at what Naruto had said. Enslave the whole world? Not being a Hokage? That's...... they couldn't put any word to describe it. But in both their point of views, it was a horrible thought, and honestly they didn't want to stay with him any longer.
"What is it you want from me, Kakashi-sensei?" Naruto asked with a bright grin. Kakashi sighed. He was probably going to sound very offensive when he says this, but..... He needed to know.
"Naruto. Are you okay? Any problems in your life?" Kakashi questioned with a serious gaze as Naruto only stared at him in confusion. "Has somebody ever...threatened you? Any ties with the topic of slavery?"
"Hmm, that's a very interesting question, I might have to take a dive down memory lane for that, Kakashi-sensei. Gonna take a while, but I don't remember any of that today," Naruto answered. That question was something to be asked to the original owner of the body, not him. What's so wrong about slavery, anyway? In his time, it had been a common thing, and it's a great honour to be the slave of a superior being such as he. Humans fought for that position!
Kakashi only let out another sigh. "Okay, then.... You may go home now."
"I'll see you tomorrow, sensei!" Naruto smiled at his sensei as he stood up, running towards the door leading to the staircase. Kakashi sighed, again for the ten thousandth time today. 'Hopefully he isn't a total nutjob.'
As Kakashi Hatake walked towards the training ground, he expected his two cute genins to shoot glares at him for being late. He excluded the third cute genin, because for some reason the cute genin would probably not be mad at him for anything at that point. He's....either too crazy, or too kind, and he had already excluded the latter out of the possible conclusions.
But when he arrived to his two cute genin's glares, it surprised him that he wasn't the one who arrived the latest. "Hmm. Where's your other teammate? Has he perhaps fled out of....." He paused in the middle of his sentence. Now, fear wasn't something that he could imagine the third cute genin to be able to feel, not after what he heard from yesterday. "Nevermind. Where is he, though?"
"Don't know," Sakura said bluntly, pressing a kunai into the ground out of sheer boredom.
"Now, that won't do. We can't start this test without the three of you, and that means you guys don't get to become actual genin. You'll need to have some concern for your teammates, you guys are working together after all," Kakashi lectured the two of them.
"Hn," Sasuke replied as he stood up, seeming somewhat determined. He wasn't going to let that dobe ruin all of his plans. He needs to get strength. As soon as he can. Besides, he'd rather not stay with the Haruno. "I'll go look for him."
"Then..I'll come along too!" Sakura chirped happily as Sasuke clicked his tongue in annoyance. Plan, ruined.
"That's the spirit. Now go look for him, I'll be here waiting if he comes," Kakashi smiled to his students as he sat on the grass, watching them run towards the village centre. Chuckling, he pulled out a volume from the Icha Icha series, a faint blush dusted on his face. "Well, then."
"Slacking off, Kakashi?"
At the call of his name, he turned around in surprise to see Asuma walking towards him. "Aren't you supposed to be a sensei? Where are your genins?"
"Ah, they went off to reunite with their third cute genin because he's missing. As a good sensei, I have faith in them that they won't fail in their first unofficial mission...and if they do, they're no longer genin, I guess. No big deal," Kakashi shrugged as he turned back to his book.
"You need to take more responsibility, Kakashi. As a sensei..." Asuma took a puff out of his cigarette. "Well, I guess it should be fine since it's not official yet."
"My reasons are deemed valid, then," Kakashi flipped a page in his book. "What about your team?"
"Passed them, of course. The new generation of Ino-Shika-Cho doesn't seem too bad. They're pretty talented, in fact. I have high hopes for them," Asuma answered with pride in his voice. "I'm proud of be able to lead a team like theirs."
"Good to know, good to know," Kakashi nodded away as he came to a familiar part of the story he was reading. His cheeks were dusted a pervy pink as his eyes went down the lines slower than ever. "Peak fiction," he whispered to himself, that which Asuma caught onto, laughing.
"Well, you're gonna get left there, 'cause your cute genins are back. Guess I'll be on my way now too, see ya!" With that, Asuma disappeared, leaving an annoyed Kakashi. Seriously, these stupid kids. They came at the worst time possible. But....
"Damn you, Naruto-baka! How could you oversleep on such an important day!?" Sakura yelled as they ran towards Kakashi. "We could've been discarded off the genin list right away, idiot!"
"Hn," as stoic as Sasuke usually was, he couldn't help but hum in agreement. If his plans were affected by Naruto, he'd never forgive him.
"I'm..sorry!!" Naruto gasped for air as he ran. "Just to you, Sakura-chan! Not to Sasuke, at all!"
Well, they seem considerably much more normal now, as children. Especially Naruto. He didn't look like he wanted to enslave the whole world today, I guess. And the other two seemed to have forgotten about it for now.
That's good enough for today, and so Kakashi stood up, facing the three soon to be or not to be genins. "Great! Let's begin the test."
It wasn't in any of their original plans. It had never been. Well, that applies for the Kyuubi, at least. Naruto now had two voices constantly ringing in his head, and he had to remind himself over and over again not to respond to them out loud. It would take any normal person to be amazed over the fact that there were two more than centuries old beings within them, but Naruto was no ordinary child. No- he was a STUPID child.
"Admirable, Naruto boy, you're so brave! I shall hire you as my slave! Oh haha boy, that rhymed! Do you like it, boy?"
"SHUT UP! And you, Brat! Why are you charging straight at him? He's way out of your league!"
"It's okay, Kurama! Watch me! Hah!" After yesterday night's odd experience in the mindscape, Naruto had begged to be friends with the Kyuubi after he befriended the god that resided in his body. The Kyuubi, on the other hand, was extremely tired. Years of torture to make him a weapon or a tool is better than dealing with not one, but TWO fucking idiots who now share the same body. One was stubborn, childish and so on. The other was one with somewhat of an odd god complex, yet very supportive of the young boy's actions. The god complex was forgivable since Jashin IS a god, after all. But then again, how was this god STUPID enough to support whatever this young boy did? Stupid!
And then they had to bug the hell out of him to give his real name too, since Naruto refused to call him Kyuubi no Kitsune, complaining that it was too long and too formal. And that he was his- fRIeNd! He would've given him a fake name, but it would only annoy the Kyuubi even further. To be clear- NO, he was not befriending a measly little mortal human and a god whose name was barely spoken amongst the current society. It was a forced deal, he repeated to himself. A threat to himself. And it wasn't like he could do anything either- He can't get out of his seal, and his killing intent didn't bother the god within the child. And now the child himself wasn't affected either, probably because of the god living within him.
That alone meant the child could stand up to many skilled ninjas without pissing his pants on the battlefield. And honestly, that was a scary thought. There was one thing that Kurama was genuinely curious about, however. The self-proclaimed god's abilities. As far as he had lived, he hadn't heard of the name before. Maybe it was mentioned, but he wasn't there to hear it. Or maybe it was just some fake. But then again, breaking into Naruto's mind and being unaffected by Kurama's killing intent- that's not a feat every shinobi could achieve, so he had to believe him.
"You're too impatient," Kakashi commented as he smoothly dodged Naruto's every attack with ease.
"What is that dumbass doing..!?" Sasuke whispered to himself in the bushes as he watched Naruto fight Kakashi. It wasn't really a fight, more like Naruto just throwing random moves at the experienced jounin who just nonchalantly flipped open his book and started reading as he continued to dodge the blonde boy's attacks. Naruto stopped and pointed an accusing finger at Kakashi, yelling. "Hey! Don't read a book when we're fighting! You're underestimating me!"
Kakashi yawned.
And so Kurama thought of a good idea. It was his chance to see the god's abilities, and if he was lucky...he'd be able to loosen up the seal while the boy's not in control? It's not really the best theory out there, but it wouldn't hurt to try. "God brat, do you think you can swap control with brat by will?"
"Hmm, I guess we could try that," Jashin tapped his chin in thought. "I'd like to see the outside world again as well! But hmm, how do we do this..."
"Since it happened when I was asleep, if I go to sleep....maybe! But I want to show this guy what I'm capable of..."
"It's fine, boy. Even if it is I in control, the body is yours. If I am victorious, so are you," Jashin smiled. "I cannot do anything without this body of yours."
"Okay then! How do I sleep right now though? I just woke up..."
"Dumbass! Just knock yourself out with something!"
As if on cue, Kakashi appeared right behind Naruto, shooting a finger up his ass. "Don't space out in the middle of a battle!"
As Naruto flew across the training grounds, clutching his ass in pain, he landed straight on his head, immediately making him pass out on the grass field almost comically. A shadow clone Kakashi had sent went to check up on him, nodding to himself as he inspected the boy's condition to make sure he didn't get a concussion. "Hm. Failed, I guess."
Just as he turned around to leave, his eyes widened. He swiftly dodged to the right just in time as a couple of kunai and shuriken zoomed pass his ear, cutting off a few tiny strands of his hair.
"Don't turn your back around the enemy. Remember that too, boy," Naruto spoke with a smile on his face. "We meet again, Kakashi-sensei."
