Naruto was confused, and frightened.

Where is this sewer-like place? He felt shivers run down his spine repeatedly as he explored around. Who tossed him in here? If the stinky villagers who keep glaring at him did this, then they're going way too far! What if thousands of rats swarm him and he dies because they bit him to death? Or worse, cockroaches! But do cockroaches even bite? Nonetheless, he was scared.

Here.

Naruto's head spun to the left quickly. Something was telling him that this was the way. He had to go that way. And so he continued dragging his feet through the sewer water that reached his knee, going straight ahead.

"You have finally arrived....."

That voice. Naruto froze in fear as he stood before what seemed like a cage. On the bar was a huge paper with random patterns on it that Naruto didn't understand and didn't bother to understand. Two crimson slitted eyes stared down at him from above. "Why are you here? Do you seek my power?"

"W-Who the hell are you? Did you throw me in here?!" Naruto yelled, voice shaky and filled with panic as much as he tried to hide it. What was this feeling? He had never felt anything like this before. Don't tell him...that this thing is...!

"Throw you in here? How utterly stupid of you to say that," The creature bared its teeth at Naruto who took a step back. "It is not I that have trapped you in here, but YOU who have trapped me in this cage!"

"I-I'm not stupid!" Naruto protested. He knew he was dumb and he knew he was the deadlast, but that"s just because his classmates hadn't seen how awesome he is! He won't let this thing call him stupid either! He'll show everyone how amazing he is later, but.. "Who are you? I haven't gotten anyone locked up other than that scum Mizuki! You're lying!"

"Hah, still too dumb to figure it out, boy?" The creature smirked down at Naruto. "Well, tear that seal on the cage off, and I'll tell you. Naruto Uzumaki...."

"What seal!? And how do you know my name?!" Stupid! The creature wanted to yell. Absolutely fucking, insanely dumb! How did this bonehead survive till today? Does this brat not know what a seal is?

"Listen, I'm sorry that you're trapped in there, and I'll get you out there somehow!" Sorry? The creature scoffed. He won't be so sorry when he finds out who the creature truly is. But that would be a good start to trick him... "But first, tell me how to get out of here! Let's trade information!"

"Hah?? What do you mean get out of here! You came in here yourself, how am I supposed to show you the way out?" The creature was tired of this brainless child already. Seriously, he'd already given up on trying to make him tear off the seal. All he wanted now was just peace and silence, and to let him sleep in peace.

"Well, I don't know-? 'Cause you live here!?" Naruto yelled back at him.

"You brainless little shit, this is your own mindscape, you stupid fuck! Now get out of here and let me sleep!" The creature was done. So very much done. Now he better get out of here....sadly for the creature, Naruto had finally put the pieces together.

"Big red eyes....Demon teeth....cage...seal...mindscape..." Naruto muttered to himself as he stared at his moving fingers. The creature's eye twitched in annoyance. How did maths get involved in this subject? "You're the fox thing!"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN FOX THING?!" The creature roared. Oh, now he's done it. "I am the great Kyuubi no Kitsune and I can and will stomp over you and kill you with a single tap of my paw!"

"Try me, you fox thing! Hah! I-I bet you can't beat t-the next H-Hokage!" Naruto threatened in fear, knowing his efforts are very possibly futile.

"How I wish to get out of this cage and tear you apart myself...." The Kyuubi seethed quietly as he glared down at the young boy, sending chills down his spine. "Listen. I'm fucking done for today, so I'll help you get out of here. Tell me, what is the last thing you remember before you fell unconscious?"

"Wow, you're a pretty nice guy, fox thing!" The Kyuubi's eye yet again, twitched in annoyance. He hated listening to the brat call him that, but to end this sooner, he'll set that aside for now. "Hm.... Last I remember, I just kicked Mizuki's ass... I went home.... I lied on my bed..... and I fell asleep...? That's about it."

The Kyuubi narrowed his eyes. Just by sleeping, his Jinchuuriki had entered his mindscape? Weird. Maybe it's because it was the first time his name had ever entered this stupid child's vocabulary? And then there's the fact that he just got to know that the Kyuubi was sealed inside him.... It's quite shocking news for anyone, so it wouldn't be a surprise if it was because of that, but still... "Hey, fox thing! Are you done? I want to get out of here!" Naruto complained.

"It's Kyuubi no Kitsune! And shut your tiny ass up, you're the one that got yourself here! There's no way I'd-!"

He was interrupted as he felt another presence inside of Naruto's mindscape. He glanced to the corner of where the presence came from, eyes narrowing. Is it a shinobi specialising in entering brains of people? If so, they have intruded the wrong person's brain, at the wrong timing. He'll push them out, along with this brat too....

"What's wrong, fox thing? Is the cage too small for you?"

"Shut up!" The Kyuubi growled lowly. "Someone is here. Did you invite someone into your brain? I'm not enjoying this person's presence. Tell them to get out."

"What does that mean?" Naruto frowned in confusion. The Kyuubi shook his head to himself, feeling dumb for asking that question to someone as stupid as this child is.

"Silence. I will deal with them, then."

The Kyuubi mustered his strength, waves forming from the sewer water from his direction as he readied to push whoever this intruder is out of his Jinchuuriki's brain. "Wait, fox thing! What if they're a nice person?"

"Too bad, then!" The Kyuubi growled as he gave the final push, only for his eyes to widen. It didn't work...and he felt it. The person's presence right by the corner, and whoever that is, is going to turn to their direction in-

"Woah, there's people here...!!" A voice filled with wonder and amazement echoed through the sewers. He slowly walked towards Naruto and the tailed beast behind him who bared his fangs at the stranger. Shock filled the Kyuubi as the intruder paid no mind to his killing intent. Just who is he?

Before the two of them stood a boy looking a bit older than Naruto, who had long, orange-ish brown hair flowing down his shoulder. There were marks on his face, and one thing that the two of them noticed almost immediately was the odd shape in the boy's eye, an upside-down triangle inside a circle. "Oh, you must be Naruto!"

"Hah!? How do you know my name too? Am I getting famous?" Naruto gaped in surprise.

"Oh, no, Naruto boy, it's just that I happened to see you in my mirror's reflection today! I must say, boy, your village is quite the lovely one! It was a very enjoyable stay and I'd like to experience much more!" He smiled happily.

"What...does that mean....?" Naruto tilted his head in confusion. The Kyuubi sighed at the stupidity of the cheese haired boy. But to be fair, the intruder's explanation was pretty confusing too. No wonder why Naruto got thrown into his own mindscape. This boy was the reason.

"You mean, you took over his body for a whole day," The Kyuubi spoke. Naruto's jaw dropped in shock as he finally caught on. So that's why he's in his own mindscape! Does that mean he missed the meeting with his team and sensei? Is he never becoming genin? Nooo!! All his hardwork had been for nothing, then!

"Yes, your explanation was very much correct! I should have shortened it that way. And don't worry, Naruto boy! I've had the pleasure of meeting your team and your mentor on your behalf. They were very nice people! If you'd like to know, your sensei is a secretive man named Kakashi Hatake. I'd say he's secretive because he's cautious with revealing his face and his personal interests. As for your teammates, one is Sakura Haruno-"

"SAKURA-CHAN??" Naruto hopped up in excitement. "Woah, heck yeah!"

"She is quite the pretty little lady!" The boy spoke as Naruto nodded his head aggressively in agreement. "And your other teammate would be a boy named Sasuke Uchiha."

"Sasuke?? That bastard is on my team! Ugh, my date plans with Sakura-chan are ruined...!" Naruto cried out in grief.

"Let's not bother with such useless things for now," The Kyuubi spoke in a demanding voice as he glared down at the stranger, much unknown to the two of them. Though it seems, Naruto had pretty much warmed up to him by now, not even paying attention to the fact that his body was in someone else's control for a whole day. The things that could've happened.... "Tell us, intruder. Who are you?"

"Oh, dear! I was too caught up in the sheer admiration I hold for the things in your life that I'd forgotten to give an explanation, please accept my sincere apologies!" The boy cried apologetically. "I am a being that is not human, and so I am very fascinated at the lives you live. It has been many centuries since I have last awoken. And I'm afraid that even I don't remember much about myself. But!"

The boy immediately shifted to a face of pure excitement and joy. "I am known as Jashin-sama among you humans! You have probably heard of me and my greatness before, and through the devotion of my followers, I have finally been able to awaken and see the new human world for myself!"

Before the two were able to say anything, he continued. "Naruto boy, if you don't mind! I will need your help in restoring my solid body! To do this, I'll need some of your life force, but worry not. I am a respectful one who will return the favor. I am a god who merely wishes to see what humanity has achieved, and I wish for you to help me! I will never harm you, I promise!"

"Um, but...." Naruto spoke, scratching his head awkwardly. The boy now known as Jashin-sama tilted his head. "What is it, boy?"

"I haven't really heard of you before."

Jashin's eyes widened in shock as he clutched his chest in pain. He fell to the ground on his knees, a tear flowing down his cheeks as the two standing by let a comically large sweatdrop flow down their heads. "What!? Impossible! But I am still alive, which means humanity should still have been worshipping me! I don't understand!" Jashin cried. "Does no one really, truly remember me? Their lord? Their saviour? The listener who heard their cries and responded with kindness? Aaghh!!"

"Calm down, now! I am Naruto Uzumaki! So I'm going to help you out, god or not, believe it!" Naruto reassured as he grinned with his thumbs up. "Besides, we remember you now! So you're not going to disappear!"

"O-Oh, I see," Jashin sniffled. "You are too kind, boy. You remind me of my old self. I'm so glad I've chosen you. You are a bright boy, Naruto Uzumaki. I will grant whatever wish you have when I regain my strength, I promise!"
