15;) Still not comprehending you

The next morning was kind of stressful. They had to pack their things, clean their rooms and bring their luggage downstairs. After eating their breakfast they packed their luggage into the bus and at exactly ten o'clock the whole class was seated in the bus.

They didn't go home directly. They were driven to a small scottish town called Redcastle. It was really small with narrow alleys and small shops, especially with souvenirs for tourists. Louis bought a few things for his sisters and mum.

While walking around the cute alleys of the small town Harry was by Louis' side again, holding his hand. It wasn't that rare anymore. Harry seemed to be with Louis whenever he had the chance but Louis was happy nevertheless.

Even if Harry wasn't his real boyfriend, he at least enjoyed Louis' company and didn't mind physical contact with him. It had to mean something, even if it wasn't in the way Louis had wanted it for years.

Currently, Louis was talking to Avril, who was walking next to him with Harry on his opposite side, their classmates surrounding them in different intervals. They were talking about trees, about which Harry would laugh if Louis wasn't so enthusiastic and cute.

"Oh, look this branch. It's so twisted." Avril pointed at some tree which Harry didn't bother looking at. He rather watched Louis' eyes light up at the interesting branch.

"That's cool, and look at this one." Louis pointed at something else.

Avril nodded, "That's a spruce, isn't it?"

Louis shrugged, "I don't know that much about the different trees. Just trees in general. In towns they are never natural anyways. But did you notice that the trees here either look like this," He pulled his hand away from Harry's and gestured around, "or like this?"

Harry frowned at the lack of contact. It didn't seem to bother Louis that much considering he turned to Avril completely and they formed some kind of weird trees. Avril told Louis about some tree shapes in Sweden and Louis eagerly told her about those he had seen in Germany.

Harry's fingertips prickled and he itched to grab Louis' delicate hand take it into his bigger one again. He did so as soon as they stopped talking about tree shapes and Avril told Louis something about an elk she saw in Sweden.

Harry noticed Louis' eyes lingering on a small shop. He looked closer at what Louis cold be looking at. There were a few porcelain figurines of angels standing on a shelf and some pretty colourful necklaces hanging down on the side. An idea formed in his head and he nudged Louis. "You like that?"

Louis nodded, "Those colourful necklaces are beautiful, don't you think?"

Harry grinned and stopped walking, examining them closer. "Which one do you like the most?"

"Wow, this is hard. I think the purple, no the red, oh wait. The white... ugh, I don't know. Which one do you like best?" Louis asked Harry.

Harry thought for a moment, "The blue and green one over there."

Louis nodded, "Yeah, that's a beautiful one too."

"Why don't you buy one then?" Avril asked.

Louis sighed, "I don't have much money. I already spent too much on souvenirs for my sisters."

"Louis, which one do you like most?" Harry asked again.

"I thought we've already asserted that I couldn't decide."

"Yeah, but if you had enough money and wanted to buy one, which would it be?" Harry insisted.

"Erm... I don't know, why do you want to know anyways?"

"Just tell me."

Louis stepped closer, examining them, "I guess the green and blue one is amazing, now that you said it."

Harry grinned, taking this particular necklace from the hook, "Great." He said, going to the counter to pay.

"Harry, what are you doing?" Louis walked up behind him.

When Harry was done paying he turned to Louis, "It's all yours now."

Louis' eyes widened, looking at Harry shocked. "Awww." They heard some of their classmates coo behind them, causing Louis to blush.

Louis wanted to say, "You're not even my real boyfriend." because, well... he wasn't and this was a bit too much of a boyfriend gesture for a fake boyfriend, but he couldn't do that because there were too many people paying attention to them.

So he settled for, "But Harry, this is a bit too much, considering the... circumstances."

Louis gave Harry a look so he understood and he was sure Harry knew what he meant. What he didn't expect was to see Harry's face fall like Louis just said something terrible. Maybe he did, so he hurried to say, "I mean, this is really cute Harry. It's beautiful, but, I mean...-"

Harry brought his hand up to cup Louis' cheek, "It's okay. Just please take it. I'm sure it'll look amazing on you." Louis was breathless, because Harry was so close and he said all those sweet things and, Harry was just breathtaking.

Harry turned Louis around gently and put the necklace on. Then he laid his hands on Louis' waist and pressed his lips to the side of his neck softly, sending shivers down his spine, "See, you look beautiful." He mumbled.

And shit, Louis thought, this felt far too real. He didn't know if he should be happy or panic.

Louis didn't have much time to think about it because Liam was really eager to show something to Harry, dragging him away. And Louis was approached by Luke, Calum and Ashton who wanted him to come with them.

Together they continued walking through the small shops in the narrow alleys. Louis noticed Ashton and Calum smiling at each other more often than not and Louis asked himself if there was something more between them. He hoped Ashton trusted him enought to tell him, though.

A big part of their walk together consisted of Calum and Louis bonding over football while Ashton and Luke shot each other clueless looks.

"Does anyone know when we have to meet up at the bus again?" Ashton asked after an hour of pointless strolling around and eating ice cream. The ice cream was now long gone and they grew increasingly bored.

Calum shrugged and Luke suggested, "We could ask someone. Look, there are Leigh-Anne, Selena, Perrie, Justin, Ed and, err... I don't know, but, we can ask them."

The boys agreed and they went to ask them. However, the group was clueless when to get back too. Perrie laughed, "That's typically of Mr. Aulepp." The group laughed in agreement.

With that everyone seemed to turn to someone to tell them something else. Louis was a bit confused why they didn't search for a solution but soon Amy was by his side. "So, how's it going with Harry?"

Louis laughed awkwardly, not sure how to answer, "Err... good, I guess?"

"You guess?" Amy giggled, seeming very interested in his 'relationship'.

"Yeah, I mean, he is really sweet. He gave me this." He touched his necklace, blushing when Amy cooed.

"You're the cutest couple I've ever seen, you know that?"

Louis blushed, laughing a bit awkwardly, "Errm, I guess. What about you?"

"Ooh, nothing interesting. I'm as single as a pringle."

Louis laughed loudly, "That's good too, isn't it? I mean, you don't always need to have someone. Harry's still my first boyfriend or like, partner of that sort generally."

Amy cooed again, "Aww, I hope he'll be your last too. I don't want this ship to sink."

"What? What ship?" Louis asked, confused.

Amy laughed, "The whole class is shipping you so hard, like, they mentally support you and want you together and stuff. And we get feels when you do something cute."

Louis didn't know if he should feel flattered or creeped out, probably both. He didn't tell her that their 'ship', as they called it, was most likely to sink rather soon, as much as Louis hoped it would last. He loved the attention and affection Harry gave him, probably a bit too much.

Sometimes in the past days he even tended to forget that this wasn't real between them. Just like now as he told Amy about his mother not trusting his sisters to be home alone and Harry came up behind him, pulling him close and whispering, "Hey, Lou."

Louis leaned back into him, smiling back at him.

They heard a squeeking noise and looked forward to see Amy blushing. Oh right, Louis thought, they got 'feels' when they did something cute. "I'm sorry, but you're just so cute."

Jade nodded in agreement, a group having built around Amy, Louis and Harry.

"Thanks, guys." Harry grinned, smacking a kiss on Louis' cheek. Louis blushed deeply, even though he remembered that this was for show.

"Let's go back to the bus then." Michael said. "We still don't know when we have to be back."

"Wow, the whole class seems to be here now." Luke commented. It was true. There were many people and Louis didn't notice anyone missing. Except maybe... yeah, Jesy was missing.

Well, Louis didn't want to sound rude but he wasn't missing her much. Maybe he was a bit jealous of the girl who was liked by his fake boyfriend more than him. Louis thought it was his right to dislike her a bit.

They arrived where the bus was parked. Mr. Aulepp was nowhere to be seen and neither was the driver. Harry led Louis closer to the bus with a hand on his back.

"Oh, the door is open. There has to be someone inside." Harry detected, opening the door and climbing inside. Louis got in after him, not coming far because Harry stopped and turned around abruptly, causing Louis to run into him.

They burst out giggling, and Harry laid a hand on Louis' back to prevent him from moving away. Harry completely forgot why he had turned around in the first place, that he had seen Jade and Jesy in the last seats and wanted to avoid her, that he wanted to drag Louis out and tell the others before they were seen by the two girls.

Everything he could see in that moment was Louis' cute giggle and his beautiful eyes that had captured him even before he came to the realization that he had fallen for Louis.

But Louis didn't know all of that. He looked up at Harry through his eyelashes, seeing the taller boy smiling down at him with shining green eyes. And he was close, too close. Too close to be normal for a fake boyfriend and it made his heart jump.

Especially when Harry leaned closer, so close. So close that their noses were almost touching. It was almost like at the bonfire yesterday, yet more private. Nobody was here to see them so Harry had no reason to do that other than that he wanted to. It made Louis smile sweetly.

It seemed to encourage Harry to lean in further and Louis got more aware of every place Harry and him were touching. Their chest pressed together, their stomachs brushing, their feet touching, Harry's hand lightly pressing against the small of his back, Harry's hand coming up to cup his cheek, Harry's nose sliding against his and further...

A squeal made Louis jump and Harry release him.

Harry turned around and Louis saw Jesy and Jade sitting there, watching. Jade with a fond face, Jesy's more sour.

It didn't matter to Louis. What mattered to him was that Harry had seen them before. That was why he had just almost kissed him. Or maybe Louis just imagined it and Harry didn't want to kiss him. He waited for the girls to see and interrupt them.

Louis could have sworn that this had been special, that there were sparks and that it was just him and Harry. For a second he had thought that maybe Harry felt the same, but he didn't.

It was still just a game to him. Louis didn't mean that much to him. At least he meant so little to him that he could act out a magical scene with anyone just for it to burst the second he got the wanted attention.

And it hurt. It stung in his eyes and in his throat and in his heart.

Louis turned around and ran out of the bus, joining Niall and Michael in the big group nonchalantly, trying not to let show that he was sad and upset.

But Niall noticed, bless him. He wrapped an arm around him, pulling him into his side. Like that, Harry couldn't come up to him like he used to do these past days. Louis was thankful for that. He couldn't handle that right now.

Harry wasn't his real boyfriend and he would never feel the same. Why couldn't Louis get that through his thick skull?
