Ichimatsu
Ichimatsu continued to sit on the floor of the cafe for the rest of the day, just stroking the cats, sometimes dozing off for several minutes. Only a few people had come in the shop after them, but they didn't notice him. It was almost like he didn't exist. But, of course, that was completely fine to Ichimatsu.
"Hey, um," Kanola said looking at the clock above her counter, "It's getting close to closing time, sir. When do you plan on leaving?"
"When does the store close?" Ichimatsu asked right back, looking irritated.
"It closes in an hour, sir," Kanola replied.
"Well then I'll leave in an hour..." he muttered darkly, going back to petting the cats. They had been sitting with him all day.
At that moment, the cafe door swung open, and Jyushimatsu walked inside. He had a smile across his face, but it was hard to tell if it was real or not. And since Ichimatsu was sitting in the corner, Jyushimatsu didn't notice him.
Ichimatsu had a strong feeling overcome him at that moment. He felt as if he once knew this strangely happy human being who just walked into the cafe. Of course, he had no memory of ever seeing the yellow hooded person.
"Hi..." Ichimatsu mumbled as Jyushimatsu was speaking with Kanola.
Jyushimatsu jerked his head around at the faint sound of Ichimatsu's familiar mumble, but he didn't see him.
Shanking his head, Jyushimatsu turned back to Kanola and continued to speak.
"I said hi!" Ichimatsu croaked a bit more loudly.
Jyushimatsu jerked around, setting his eyes on Ichimatsu. His mouth turned into a true smile, his eyes shimmering with happiness.
"Nii-san!" Jyushimatsu exclaimed, running towards his brother in absolute delight.
Ichimatsu hunched up in a ball, drawing his knees as close to himself as possible.
"Who are you?" Ichimatsu asked quietly.
Jyushimatsu's smile fell, and he looked away for several moments, then turned back to face his brother.
"I'm Jyushimatsu Matsuno!" he replied, smiling as big as he could.
