Hyunho entered the classroom, bothered by the number of people staring at him. It was not normal, not at all. During the other days, it was as if Hyunho was invisible, literally, and now he seemed so visible to them for some reason. He sat down on his usual spot and took out a book. One classmate dragged a chair and leaned on his desk. "Hey, are you dating Byeol?" The guy looked at him with suspicion mixed with a playful grin.

He simply crinkled his eyebrows and shook his head, not very bothered. "It's far from what you think." His voice was plain and cold, as always. The guy scooted away, dissatisfied.

The day went on and still, Hyunho received a bunch of questions about Byeol, almost the same one. He was so confused as to why people would assume that two humans who communicate and get along were dating. He wasn't bothered anymore after getting used to it. Following his routine, Hyunho had dropped by the library to return some books.

As he browsed through the shelves, his eyes meet a pair of brown ones across the gap above the books, until he realizes he had gone through all of them. "Boo!" A woman's voice barely makes him flinch as they reach the end of the shelf. "We're in a library, shh." He whispers.

She grabs his hand, dragging him out into the hallway, deaf to the boy's protest. "There we go. Now we can talk, alright?" Hyunho blankly stares at her, no response.

"You see, I've always wanted to go on a trip with someone, especially to Jeju. You know, like cliffdiving, stuff that make your heart skip a beat!" Byeol clasps her hands together in excitement as she imagined. "And?" He replied calmly.

"Who else would I want to go with...?" She flashes a sheepish smile, hands behind her waist. "I won't let you pay a single penny, I promise. And... I'm sure you'll enjoy it!"

"I'm... busy." He tries not to sound unsure. "If you lie, at least make it sound believable. How about.. this weekend?"

Hyunho opens his mouth to talk but she interrupts, saying; "Sounds great? Good!" She glanced at her watch and stood up, "it's rude to make a girl wait, so be there earlier than 7, okay?"

"Wait— you—" He holds up his hand but once again, failed to make his choice. Byeol was always so dominant and bright, that he didn't want to make the dying girl frown. He told her to do whatever she wanted, anyway.

Sometimes, he regretted being nosy and opening that notebook in the library. It wasn't because Byeol was annoying. It was for a reason he could not admit to himself, not yet.
