Idk why ya'll want more but wth I kinda like writing about these two :,0

           Eva stared at the clock, tapping her foot rapidly as she waited for her shift to end at the lab. So was Ace, who was now moved further away from Eva since Dreadlocker noticed their closer relationship.

           Dreadlocker was worried they'd be slacking off too much.

          Eva glanced at her work board, making quick and minor adjustments. She recently pinned up a photo of her and Ace after Ace has returned from Paris. She smiled brightly.

           Just then, she snapped back and checked back to the clock, seeing that her shift is finally off. She smiled widely and got up from her desk and took her stuff. She turned to see Ace heading out the door. He saw her too, smiling even wider.

           They were outside the lab, talking. Ace held her hand, smiling as he listened to her talk about her day. Eva turned to him, laughing.

           "So, any plans?" She asked, watching her steps as they headed home.

           It was around 10 pm, when the city was quiet and peaceful. Rarely anyone was outside but them. It was scary but pretty sweet.

           "Not really, Mr. Ponder decided to move the meeting next week since he has a lot of work to do," Ace replied, suddenly seeing a couple of ladies from a distance.

The two ladies were laughing and enjoying their time. They were close, smiling and talking.

Eva noticed them as well, smiling widely and turning to Ace. "They seem like a happy couple,"

"Yeah, cmon, we should get home. Plus, I got a lil gift for you," Ace grinned, gently nudging her.

Eva giggled, quickly making their way to the apartment. Every day they took turns to use their own key to unlock the door. Sometimes they're starting to think its a habit. A sweet and fun habit.

It was Ace's turn to use his apartment key, making sure Eva's eyes were covered until he unlocked the door. "Aaaaandddd open!"

Eva removed her hands from covering her eyes and gasped. There was a table with a graceful cloth, a few lit candles just enough not to cause a fire with gathered plates and utensils. There was a vase filled with Eva's favorite flowers with only the night light lighting up and promoting the romantic aura.

"Wait, you left the candles lit-?" Eva asked, turning to Ace who immediately got nervous. He laughed.

"Hehe, that's out of the question for now-" He crunched down slightly, rushing to pull the chair for Eva. He gestured her to sit.

Eva snickered, sitting down as he carefully pushed the chair towards her slightly. Eva watched as he removed his coat, hanging it over the chair. Eva had already hung her own coat over at the rack.

She turned to Ace, smiling sweetly. "This is real fond of you, Ace-y boy. What's the occasion?"

"Well I figured that this would be a nice little first date. And to add bonus points, we get to talk because I... kinda wanna ask you something," He said, almost slouching on his chair only to hide himself. For a moment, he thought that maybe he could hide under the table.

"Well bring it on, love," Eva reassured him, leaning closer to hold his hands. Ace took her hands, taking a quick glance at her eyes then at the floor.

Ace was terrified of the consequences if he asked her. What if she'll leave him? What if she'll get frustrated? No. He trusts her.

"Do you regret dating me?" He squeezed her hands tightly as if it was the last time he gets to hold them. Eva smiled warmly, caressing his hands with her thumb.

"Night shifts from Dr. Dreadlocker are starting to mess you up. You definitely need rest," Eva chuckled softly.

"I love you, Ace. That won't ever change. What brought that up, Ace?" She tried meeting his eye, sort of adoring this side of him.

"I don't know, I just feel like I'm getting worse every day since we became a thing. It always ached me to ask you how to be a better man for you. We rarely had time to talk about our limits and it scares me because what if I accidentally cross your limit? What if you'll leave me because of that? I really don't wanna lose you because I'm not doing a good job," he confessed, finally meeting her eyes and falling in love with the way they shine against the candle light.

"Oh Ace," they both got up from their seats and hugged each other. Ace held her closely, almost lifting her off her feet.

"I just want you to be yourself, okay? Sure, there are limits but we can talk about it some more tomorrow, okay?" She tiptoed to kiss his forehead. Ace, chuckling, leaned down just slightly.

"I don't regret dating you, in fact I still can't believe we're a thing now! It was all out of my control, really!" She laughed, blushing. "I mean, there was a little bit of planning but... you knowwwww..."

"Yeah, I get it," Ace chuckled, patting her head gently. "Want some ice cream?"

After Eva immediately accepting his offer, they sat on the couch, binge watching The Office while eating chocolate mint ice cream. They were almost laughing non-stop, hoping that they weren't upsetting the neighbors.

Well I guess this is it for now. Tbh I kinda have art block and it sucks pp

Also I tried spicing up my persona with the outfit since a plain warm green jacket is kinda boring.

Time for a new era >:)

But anyway the outfit is heavily inspired by that new Steven Universe poster for the movie
