Ace x Eva part 3 sksksksk
They entered her place, smiling at each other. Ace noticed the bowl of popcorn from last night. He felt butterflies. She really did save some popcorn...
"So, did you have any fun last night?" He asked, trying to set up a conversation. Eva laughed nervously.
"Yeah, yeah! I got to eat some ice cream and finish watching the movie. It was a great night," Eva replied, feeling pride in herself. Ace knew something was wrong. He has known her too long not to notice the pain in her voice.
"Eva, about last night..."
"Last night! Oh! Don't worry, I've forgotten all about it! In fact, I was practicing all night!" She laughed, trying to look away.
Ace crossed his arms and leaned against the wall, raising an eyebrow.
Eva gave a side-glance at him, sighing in defeat.
"Okay, okay, I might have been lying just a tiny bit," she faked a smile, turning to him. Ace sighed and hugged her tightly.
"Eva, I swear to whoever is up there.." he chuckled and leaned down, laying his head on her shoulder and keeping her close to his chest.
"Dammit Eva, I really love you. I've fallen in love with you. No, I'm always falling for you, every time I see you I only fall deeper in love. Don't you see that? I care about you a lot, Eve," Ace confessed, only pulling away to smile and see her reaction. He knew that he should've said everything to her face, but he just couldn't.
Eva was blushing. Somehow she couldn't resist laughing. Ace sighed. "I'm not joking, Eva,"
"I know!" She gave him a kiss, trying to reach his height by standing on her toes. Ace was taken aback, but he smiled slightly and kissed her back, leaning down.
They pulled away with bright smiles on their faces.
"Eva, can I tell you something?"
"Of course!" Eva replied, looking up at him.
"About Katherine," he sighed. Dammit, he knew it was a bad time. But he just had to say it.
Eva frowned slightly, but she tried not to make it obvious that she was upset to hear that name, especially coming from him. "Go ahead."
"I'm moving to Paris with her,"
Eva felt everything shatter around her. Her heart ached and her mind suddenly going wild. She knew Katherine was desperate, but not this desperate.
"I understand," she said calmly, her voice almost breaking.
"Eva, it's not what it seems," he held her hand in both of his hands. He saw every single sign of pain from her eyes to her lips.
"You're just saying that,"
"What? No! Eva, you have to believe me. Katherine wanted us to start over, but I just couldn't-"
"You couldn't help but go back with her? Yes, Ace, I understand that," she started feeling salty, her emotions heating up inside her.
"Eva! Listen to me!" He almost screamed, releasing her hand to rub the temples of his forehead. He turned and faced away from her.
"She said that the only way she'll leave us alone is to move to Paris with her, so I agreed. I told her that I've moved on. I've moved on from the past. I wanted to move on only to focus on you, alright?" He sighed, trying to regain himself.
"If I declined the deal, you don't even wanna know what she's gonna try and do. Hell, it might even involve hurting you," he gripped his arm.
Eva refused to talk back. So she decided to hug him from the back. She leaned her head on him as well, closing her eyes and feeling a heavy weight of guilt.
"I love you, Ace,"
"I love you too," he turned around only to laugh and plant a hundred kisses on her head. Eva laughed. He stroked her cheeks and smiled widely. He leaned closer.
"I promise I'll come back for you as soon as I can," he whispered, chuckling as Eva kissed his forehead.
"I'll be waiting."
Ace had his suitcase, turning to see Eva smiling and waving slightly. Ace smiled back, waving back.
Katherine noticed the two, so she grabbed him and dragged him into the airport after taking all their stuff.
Eva watched as they disappeared into the building. She cried for a while, eventually taking a deep breath and calling for a cab.

Eva sat there at her table, drinking coffee as she read the newspaper. It was late in the morning, specifically at 9 am. The cafe was quiet but relaxing. A few people walked in with their dates. Eva smiled, suddenly thinking of Ace. She absolutely missed him.
She sighed, laying down the newspaper on the table and looking at the TV from the top right corner of the cafe. It was the news, stating how there was a fire at the library.
"Excuse me, ma'am," a voice said behind her. Eva, assuming it was a waiter, jolted as she snapped back into reality.
"I believe you ordered a creamy latte with a hint of mocha," he said, smiling warmly. Eva suddenly realized that that was her favorite drink. She felt terrified and nervous. She sat still, mumbling. "I'm sorry, I believe you got the wrong person."
"The wrong person? No no no, I definitely know that I got the right person," he said, laying down the drink on the table in front of her. "In fact I've been looking for you all day,"
Eva blinked, suddenly feeling butterflies in her stomach. She slowly turned around only to be taken off her seat and being swung around by him. Eva laughed, seeing his lovely face. "Ace!"
She grinned and hugged Ace, laughing. Ace chuckled, holding her firmly and giving her a few kisses on the cheek here and there. He set her down carefully, loving the smile on her face when she saw his.
"I can't believe you're back!" She cried happily, eager to hug him every second she was with him.
"Me too! I didn't even think Mr. Ponder would allow me to move to Paris! Unless Katherine had something to do with it," he laughed. Eva grinned widely, she couldn't stop smiling at him.
"Enough about Katherine! The letters you wrote me were beautiful! Except at times you literally send me a letter of a meme," she giggled.
"I can't help it! The memes I sent you were so good!" He wrapped an arm around her as Eva took the frappe from the table.
They had a good laugh on the way to Eva's apartment. They'd make funny jokes, tell the stories and experiences they've been through without each other, sometimes Ace would show her some funny pictures he has taken in Paris and make jokes.
Eva told him about the times they almost blew up the lab and how Dreadlocker would literally lose his voice for screaming at Eva. Ace laughed, already imagining and interpreting it in his head.
Before they arrived to her apartment, Ace requested for a replica of Eva's apartment key. Eva was absolutely pleased that she couldn't resist accepting his request.
When they arrived to the apartment building, Ace tested out the key to her apartment door. Just as they heard a click as the door opened, they gasped and gave each other a huge hug.
They sat there on the couch, watching another movie. They shared a bowl of popcorn but no space between them whatsoever.
Eva was leaning her head on his shoulder, almost falling asleep. But she managed to stay up and almost finish the movie with Ace who was wide awake.
And finally, there was no distraction or anything to bother them and keeping them from sharing a kiss.
